You can use the regular detergent just make sure not to use the cup that comes with it, literally a tablespoon is good enough for 1 load because it's so concentrated and it saves you money too
You can make your own detergent. Not hard as you may think. Google recipes, a batch can last for a year. Most recipes will contain Borax, Baking Soda, and a soap bar( can't think of the name right now).
I use organic the majority of the time. I recently bought the laundry sheets at TJ Maxx. Like how nicely convenient they are cuz they don't take a lot of space and to me was inexpensive.

My mom makes homemade laundry soap in these huge white buckets. It is poured into a old store-bought laundry soap jug that she only bought for the jug itself. It's actually really good laundry soap, Mom once sent a whole bucket to one of my aunts for Christmas and not only did it last them months, but they asked for another.
@@michelinelatise4224yeah and your cloths don’t clean well my mom made it and it took the color out of my cloths in 6 months and doesn’t smell good and does zero for stains
Hi Bobby, We've been following you and also many of your advice on many products for a while now... And we haven't been disappointed... until now. A few weeks ago, we switched from our usual detergent to Seventh Generation one, and now our son, who has never had any kind of allergy in his life, has a severe contact dermatitis due to an MI (methylisothiazolinone) in this detergent!! If it's really "Bobby approved", we are disappointed.
My mom suffered horribly from sls in her medication and now I need to make sure to clean her clothes without this ingredient. Trying your recommendations!!!
Hmm, he says don’t use SLS but recommends using one that has SLS (Seventh Generation). 🤔 ALWAYS FACT CHECK & RESEARCH THINGS YOURSELF! Don’t always go off of what someone says on RUclips. They may be getting paid to advertise certain brands 👀
7th generation is great for dish liquid as well. My wife has very sensitive skin that used to get dry, red, and itchy with other brands like dawn sensitive skin, etc. Switched to 7th gen and no more. Great video!
The fragranced 7th Gen also has SLS, I always use less detergent than it says, I assume they want me to use more so I run out faster lol I'm a bit untrusting of labels and just big brands in general. My motto: go with what you feel, according to tiktok everything is unsafe, even fruits and veggies smh
The part that he says it costs skin irritation is if you have sensitive skin. Overall most laundry detergents have chemicals to clean stuff. Laundry detergent for sensitive skin has less harsher chemical downsides they don't have any smell. Well I'm not sure I'm just basing it off of deodorant.
The problem with all these “green detergents” is they are so dam expensive… For example I live in the uk “ecover” which I buy because fairy “the main brand” hurts my hands but it cots twice as much. So how about P&G make their products more green because not all of us can afford to pay 20 dollars for 12 washing pods just because they are environmentally friendly.
Additives or not I'm not going out smelling bad so Tide it is with Downey fabric softener. If I ever become rich I might consider these alternatives but until then I'm going to continue being poor and have clean laundry that smells nice
Make my own liquid laundry detergent out of natural soap bars with good ingredients. Super easy. Make 10 gallons at a time. Lasts almost a year cost me 16.00. Plenty of videos on this the tube.
Yes. I get what your saying. But, try telling that to a mom on a budget. Who has kids in sports (soccer, football, basketball.. Etc). The sweat and dirt.. You need something that will take out stains and smell good. 😂.. Or a husband/man who is construction or landscaping. Lol.. It's endless. But, I do use the free and clear for a household member who has sensitive skin to regular detergent.
Laundry soap works great, and it's super cheap so I don't get what your issue is @babynblue2723. Laundry soap is made in enormous batches and you don't use much. Even Nellie's :Laundry Soap I found was inexpensive when I looked. My clothes don't come out stinking like NASTY scents either thankfully because that is gross. My clothes just come out smelling like cotton without all that nasty synthetic stank. Scents don't deal with stains and take out smells, they make them smell worse with nasty smells.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is also in some toothpastes. I used to get SO MANY CANKER SORES inside my mouth. Long-lasting ones. So painful. As soon as switched to a different toothpaste which didn't have Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, my canker sores reduced a lot. Now I only get one 1-2 times per year (like from biting my cheek or lip by accident).
I just happened to stumble upon this comment. I also struggle with canker sores, sometimes getting multiple in one clip that are painful. I'm currently using crest pro health, upon googling it I see it has the SLS. Just wondering which toothpaste you switched to?
@shelbynicholson5089 I use "Sensodyne Daily Sensitive Toothpaste, Lasting Sensitivty and Cavity Protection, Fresh Mint 135 mL". I have to use Sensodyne because I naturally have teeth that are sensitive to cold water (no issues with tooth/gum health, many dentists have checked). But Sensodyne only has 1 toothpaste with no SLS. So that's the one I use. I'll bet all the big brands have at least 1 type of toothpaste with no SLS. I'm sorry you have to deal with canker sores. They are the absolute worst. ---- Also, I discovered an INSTANT cure for canker sores recently. It worked for me 3 times so far. There's a product called "Oralmedic Mouth Ulcer and Canker Sore Treatment, Instant Pain Relief". But they aren't making it temporarily, they're trying to find a new manufacturer. This is how it works: It's basically a Q tip that is saturated with a substance that denatures the tissue of the ulcer (sucks the moisture out at a molecular level). It's extremely painful for 1 minute. Worse than the common 'canker sore numbing' agents that sting a bit. This stings HORRIBLY for 1-2 minutes. But the canker sore is immediately 'de-activated' and there is zero pain for the rest of the healing process of the canker sore. ZERO. NO PAIN. The canker sore looks white and the white tissue sloughs off over the next couple of days. This SAVED me. You have to press the Q-tip hard against the canker sore and really rub and twirl the q-tip into the canker sore to make sure you're really denaturing all the tissue (means, you're sucking the water out of the tissue which makes it dead tissue). You might even have to use the same q-tip twice. Do it once, then rinse your mouth out. Feel the canker sore... live with it for 30 minutes... if it's not 100% painfree, go at it again (reuse the same q-tip device, don't grab a new one) and focus on rubbing it precisely where it still hurts. Rinse again. Then breath a sigh of relief... Ahhhhhhhh..... Your misery is over. Unfortunately, they are out of stock temporarily and are changing their manufacturing partner. I found an alternative called "Silver Nitrate Sticks" on Amazon. Apparently this is what dentists use when you complain of a canker sore and they deactivate it on the spot (I didn't even know they did that, lol). I THINK it's the same general idea as the OralMedic product. I haven't had any canker sores yet since buying the Silver Nitrate Sticks but I will let you know if it works, when I use it. I cannot believe you and I have been suffering with the agony of canker sores for years when these 1-and-done solutions have existed all this time. Smh. Okay, let me know if you have any questions. Good luck, my friend! 💖
Me too! I switch toothpastes without SLS but have fluoride. Target has one, Hello brand is good, Tom's, Burt's Bees, Orajel are ones that I have tried so far! I use Colgate's Peroxyl at the first sign of mouth sores or soreness! Since I switched to SLS free my mouth has been so much better!
