    Fun fact: Peanut allergy is almost nonexistent in Serbia and the reason why that is the case is Smoki. Kids get introduced by it very early so they build up the tolerance for it 😊

    The factory that produces Smoky, Bananas and many other famous sweets such as "Najlepse želje" chocolate has existed since 1922. And his name is Soko Stark. Have a good time and I hope you enjoy the Serbian delicacies... Greetings.. ❤️❤️❤️

      Jaffa cakes and Munchmallow are licences from company McVitie from Glasgow, Scotland.
      Our dumb delegation from Crvenka that brought it from Glasgow ate up the samples in a plane back to Serbia, too - not just the ones that they got as a snack during flight! Those were visual samples (visuals are also licenced), so delegation members had to describe in mm the thickness of every part of Munchmallow, texture and colors, so bakers could bake it! 😂😂😂

You were looking for mustard and thought there was only one there, as you recognised the Heinz brand but beside it was another brand and directly above were Serbian branded ones in small tubs...Mustard is called 'Senf' in Serbia. There is smooth and seeded versions.

Our family friends had a shop in Zrenjanin and its funny because I also always called that snack "snacky" but it is "smoki" - my fav. P.S. it it also slighty weird after 25-30 years most products, package looks basically the same. When I go back to Srb it is a 90s Ro. feeling the good but also the bad parts.

    If you guys go to any country that has a Lidl supermarket, you'll find jaffa cakes there too, same quality, and might even find them with cherry or raspberry jelly inside... and I don't know if the chocolate was milk or dark but... my faves are with raspberry and dark choco. Potato chips? Can't go wrong with them... especially if the price/quantity ( big bag, small price, not too much air in the bag) ratio is good... which often happens with store brands or non-mainstream brands. Call me crazy but I can actually taste the difference between Lay's, Lotto and Chio chips... oh and "Snack Day" from Lidl (store brand). The honey hearts actually look a lot like gingerbread with filling (jam, Turkish delight, etc.) and instead of the usual coating of sugar glaze, you have them sipped in chocolate. Personally I prefer the classic version, where you can taste the ginger bread, and it's complimented nicely by the sugar glaze, but that's me. Oh wow, the more I see of this video, the more I notice the similar snacks...the peanut ones... we have them in Ro too, from Star, from Lotto, and this other brand named "Oups" but I'm not sure that's around anymore.. they're like pufuleti, but smaller, slightly crunchier and very flavored, right? Munchmallow.. I need those in my life, we had them from a brand named "Arslan Mallow", they were cheap and delicious.. now all we have is Eti Puf, but those are covered in sprinkles or coconut flakes, not dipped in yummy chocolate. The rest of those.. they look yummy, I was expecting the banana bar to be filled with the sugary crumbly paste with yellow coloring and artificial banana flavor, like we have here. Oh maaan, now I gotta call my cousin to hook me up with these things, he's in Jimbolia, you can see the boarder with Serbia from his back yard LOL.

      Guess that why we have just a couple of products, made for like...decades. Sadly, they've sold a lot of it, and new owners are changing recipes, slowly cutting the quality, making it more like those west generic, under EU laws, ones. Like they did with some Merima baby soap. The best baby soap ever, sold to Bayer and now it reeks of some strong chemicals once you open it, you can fell how harsh it is, tingling, almost burning. Ruined that good, gentle baby soap. We are bombarding them with complaints, since it's the soap we all use since childhood, we'll see if they'll get back to original recipe. It's like those EU ones want everyone full of chemicals, with dry skin, and for kids to scream while bathed, with that thing entering their eyes. They want it all to be bad as that Johnson &Johnson, that left people with serious diseases after yrs of using their products (baby products). But they sure love to nag others about health, organic this/that, recycling, environment, what not, while pumping people with all chemicals out there, in every way posible. And now are force spreading that onto all of us, with our corrupt ones going along. EU rant over :) glad you like those sweets :)

    Bananica is almost universally loved in Serbia (I would take that over the rest of them), but foreigners usually are off put by banana flavourings in sweets

    seca li se neko koliko su ranije za vreme jugoslavije jafa i mancmalov bili ukusniji i boljeg kvaliteta ?
    jafa je bila i deblja i veca, nije bila previse slatka kao sad, taj biskvit unutra jafe bio je mnogo kvalitetniji, kao da jedes neku lepu torticu, danas je taj biskvit lagan da bi proizvodjace manje kostao, tacno mozes da osetis dok jedes koliko je to masno i prazno
    mancmalov je isto bio veci, biskvit na dnu bio je puno deblji a mnogo mnogo lepsek ukusa, nije bio tako bezlcian i lagan kao sad, ne mogu ni prici kvalitetom ove nove ojadjene verzije

    • @betmenizorahovice4843
      @betmenizorahovice4843 10 месяцев назад

      @@maticgordana9288 da, previse je slan, smanjili su kolicinu kikirikija na smokiju, obicno nije svez kao nekad nego je tvrd
      moja keva obozava ovaj smoki i ja sam ranije dosta njega jeo dok nisam naleteo na neki smoki u plavo beloj kesici, ne secam se ko je njega proizvodio ali znam da sam bio lud za tim smokijem, on mi je bio najukusniji i stvarno mnogo je lep bio
      nije mogao proci skolski dan a da ne kupim bar 2 kesice, ovaj danasnji smoki ne moze da pridje tom
      mnogo je propao kvalitet svega, sokova posebno, kad se setim nekad sta je bio next sok, secam se da je uvek bio skup ali s razlogom, danas u svaki ima one proklete sugave jabuke i onda to nije to, carnex pastetu bilo je uzivancija jesti imala je bas lep ukus a danas trenutno nije jestiva toliko je odvratan ukus

      Jeste, sve je drugačije. I plazma je sada tanja i manja. Bila je bucmasta. Banini se ni ne trudi da prikrije razliku. Rum kasato se i dalje pakuje u većoj ambalaži. Kad ga otvoriš, pola plastike prazno! Kao zvečka! 😁

    To be fair, Jaffa cakes are one of the most British things that exist, but they've spread to Europe and are popular in SRB, but they aren't actually traditional Serbian snacks, like say "Smoki".
