It was light years ahead of all of us. We peeked in the door window and there he was, sitting there in his farmer overalls and just wailing on that guitar. We all knew then that we weren’t ever going to be that fast and ripping (lol) and that he was going to make it. Kudos Paul!

I have an old National that is similar in how the preamp is wired. The Marshall preamp design is very much the same, and I can easily design an amp with 2,3,4, or as many filtered overdrives as anyone wants within reason. We used to play these 100 watt Marshalls dimed out back in my day and line the walls of the garage or basement with mattresses and acoustic foam squares and we still were too loud for most of our neighbors. I used earplugs religiously, and can still hear up to 17KHz.
