thats what i really like about paul, he is such a very humble guy. instead of not showing us pieces that have finger picking because his fingerpicking is crap, he shows it, with a crappy fingerpicking. that´s a total down to earth man
GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide. LOVE YOU ALL...!!! and PAUL..!!..i met you once at a NAMM show...moons ago,.,,!!...rock on bro..
Holy Cow! I've been a performing guitarist since 1970, even had a record contract with EMI and a little summer hit in 1982, but I've never heard of Paul before, or I probably would have burned my Guitar and moved on to playing triangle!
For those that don't know it is rumored Mozart wrote the entire symphony (all instruments) of Eine Kleine Nachtmusic in his head before writing a single piece of it on paper. Of course it takes the genius of Mr. Gilbert to put it on guitar!
I love that, unlike all so called “guitar teachers” out there who wash their guitars with tons of delay and reverb to appear more cool, he has got a very dry sound. You don’t need fx when you can really handle your axe.
I remember reading a article from guitar player magazine years ago and it show all these super cheap , crappy guitars that Paul collected over the years and he had them set up to be playable and pickups rewounded by the dimarzio company . He should do a video on that !
I think he actually has that drill cranking out the correct number of RPMs to make the timing right when it strikes the strings. That's just messed up that anyone understands music to that level. This man is supernatural as far as guitar is concerned. This is a man who has truly mastered his craft.
I never ever get tired of watching or listening to Paul Gilbert
that Bach Invention for harpsichord #8 at 39:32 is unreal- love it
Gilbert is out of this world and his personality is hero for ever.thanks
Paul always FANTASTIC
😊👍. An Alien...👽...

"Can´t you see he´s the man, let me hear you applaud
He´s more than a man, he´s a shiny, golden god"
I'm enjoying how he puts on british accent when saying what key the piece is played in
lol kfc
I'm not a shredder at all, but I freakin love this guy.

Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky. They are amazing on guitar. Who would have thought that the best melodic musicians in history knew what they were doing.
Impeccable articulation & control❗️

Quintuplets 10:23
Bach suite 15:13

Paul "Shredmaster" Gilbert!!! Ripping holes in my face!🤯 I'm going to need reconstructive surgery after this!🥵
There is no better instrument, they are both beautiful in their own way.
Rewind...oh, the memories.
Holy Cow! I've been a performing guitarist since 1970, even had a record contract with EMI and a little summer hit in 1982, but I've never heard of Paul before, or I probably would have burned my Guitar and moved on to playing triangle!

Was this the Laney era? I dig this tone much more than the current Marshall stuff Paul is using now. Love Paul though!!
Yes mate, it was.

Nice jacket and guitar!
He did show us plenty of magic.

I remember reading a article from guitar player magazine years ago and it show all these super cheap , crappy guitars that Paul collected over the years and he had them set up to be playable and pickups rewounded by the dimarzio company . He should do a video on that !

I know this is when paul gilbert was young. Hearing Paul say "now heres someone famous to tune" i thought "who is this guy?" XD
how come his fingers are all the same length?
I'd like to see Yngwie play that!
cool...

This video is freaking awesome, the only thing that disturb me is the quality of this video. Do you have the 1080p quality?
if it is dubbed from analog tape (remember that?), that's as good as it can get.
It wasn’t filmed in 1080, it was filmed on cheap 90s std video cameras
0,25x speed= Drunk Paul Gilbert
Love Paul but that guitar is pretty funny looking
Hey, no fair. He's got an arm for a pinky.
Who was the "famous" person?
32:01 - 32:14
My early influence. I mean Paul, not Mozart :)
6:24 Green tinted sixties mind Bach
what section of the four seasons is the vivaldi part in???
....nice Buckethead, he was copy this riff 45:36 to 46:30 and Buckedhead used to "big sur moon" ... what do you think?
mglojowski Yngwie did it before Paul, who did it before Buckethead. Others did it before Yngwie.
c'mon gilbert, no matter what year it was, theres no excuse for that outfit
Какую он операцию на мизинце левой руки делал чтобы мизинец был таким огромным ?
I wonder what amp and pickups hes using in this video
Laney 100watt and dimarzio tone zone in the bridge, dimarzio paf pro in the neck.
Billy Sheenan is a boss.
Suprised he didn't wear the puffy shirt like Malmsteen. The music is great.
6:05 EVH played this all the time
Guitars from Planet X
Electric Guitars from the renaissance
4:40♪♪♪

Why such low video quality?
Somehow KoRg got into the URL there...
And cometh 39 minutes mark Paul destroys your hopes and dreams 😂
is he using an ibanez 'lawsuit' at the end ?
I've always tapped with my middle finger and held my pick normally. Idk why guys tuck the pick into there knuckles.
he is up there. look at jason becker.
*Singing while shredding effortlessly on stage?*
It's like reciting a poem while solving a complex math problem on the board.

28:10
29:56
Rosbert De Faria
What effects is he using during that time?
in both guitars from mars videos there is pitch detune effect on. Sounds huge!

Rage Against The Machine should do a version of Rage over a lost penny lol
34:55 gilbert thing no 1 :D
