CLASSICAL SONGS played on electric w some shredder attitude + high gain + distortion (I have a taste for reverb also) sounds so pleasing to my ears. I think I love everything about PAUL GILBERT = amazing musician & person! ¡ Long Live CLASSICAL MUSIC !
Wow. . . I know Paul Gilbert is good. Didn't know he's that good. Those are some of the hardest pieces ever written. I'm sure he did a lot of practising, but damn, he's really good!!!
Paul Gilbert is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time and I think he’s one of the best to ever do it. He’s such a humble down to earth dude too
Yeah Vivaldi did the 4 season, but just wow. I don’t think people understand how strong and delicate one has to be to pull that off. I think that unseats EVH for best tapping riff of all time.
Paul Gilbert is an absolute virtuoso. Now, that said, yes he can get a bit repetitious at times, but that does not lessen his status in the least bit. For my money he is better than Yngwie, but that is pure subjectivity. For virtuosity combined with incredible creativity, I will always say Steve Vai is the leader of the pack.
I can not play 1Quarter of these Classics" but I do know all the scales arpeggios & patterns mostly" I wanted to achieve these patterns with the freedom to play my own type" I somewhat have. I have met Paul he signed my Fender Strat at Guitar center" Paul is one of the only Guitar players I'd enjoy playing with..
amazing, tks for sharing. I had never seen Bach Invention 8 in double guitars and I think I will never see it again!!! I got so happy to see him playing it. I play it on the piano.
When you're so good at playing guitar, then you can combine a silver satin shirt, a white-dotted black tie, and a loop-printed green blazer in one suit. Or you can wear a spaceship suit, a high hat and sunglasses without wearing any shirt, or just simply put a mask on your face and a KFC bucket on your head. People will still concern much more about your playing. Well, that's actually what I learn from this video, considering I can't play guitar :p
Watching again in 2020, he's a legend... 😁
2021
I'm looking again In 2021 🙃
And I'm still confused how good he is
again in 2022

Paul's control and dynamics are second to none.

I think Yngwie was the most gifted but his ego ruined his further development
