CLASSICAL SONGS played on electric w some shredder attitude + high gain + distortion (I have a taste for reverb also) sounds so pleasing to my ears. I think I love everything about PAUL GILBERT = amazing musician & person! ¡ Long Live CLASSICAL MUSIC !
Wow. . . I know Paul Gilbert is good. Didn't know he's that good. Those are some of the hardest pieces ever written. I'm sure he did a lot of practising, but damn, he's really good!!!
Paul Gilbert is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time and I think he’s one of the best to ever do it. He’s such a humble down to earth dude too
Yeah Vivaldi did the 4 season, but just wow. I don’t think people understand how strong and delicate one has to be to pull that off. I think that unseats EVH for best tapping riff of all time.
Paul Gilbert is an absolute virtuoso. Now, that said, yes he can get a bit repetitious at times, but that does not lessen his status in the least bit. For my money he is better than Yngwie, but that is pure subjectivity. For virtuosity combined with incredible creativity, I will always say Steve Vai is the leader of the pack.
@Jamsessionroom1337 i was told by Paul Gilbert in a private lesson at MI that Buckethead and Paul were students and friends at MI and Jammed out together, thats why they seem so similar because they fed off each others style
I can not play 1Quarter of these Classics" but I do know all the scales arpeggios & patterns mostly" I wanted to achieve these patterns with the freedom to play my own type" I somewhat have. I have met Paul he signed my Fender Strat at Guitar center" Paul is one of the only Guitar players I'd enjoy playing with..
amazing, tks for sharing. I had never seen Bach Invention 8 in double guitars and I think I will never see it again!!! I got so happy to see him playing it. I play it on the piano.
When you're so good at playing guitar, then you can combine a silver satin shirt, a white-dotted black tie, and a loop-printed green blazer in one suit. Or you can wear a spaceship suit, a high hat and sunglasses without wearing any shirt, or just simply put a mask on your face and a KFC bucket on your head. People will still concern much more about your playing. Well, that's actually what I learn from this video, considering I can't play guitar :p
@TheWhocares233 I know you probably know this but whoever your comment is towards may not. Buckethead was taught by Paul and he pulls alot of his playign from pauls style.
@TheWhocares233 mmmhmm :D, they think what they heard in guitar hero 2 are the types of solos he ONLY does.. but if they really listened to his stuff they would know.
Watching again in 2020, he's a legend... 😁

true musicians never put down any type of music.
Music in general itself is a gift of being able to form ideas. Some ppl really come up with incredible stuff.
I bought this VHS at a thrift store when I was 12 back in the 90's. Guitar from Mars 2 a fucking classic!!!
I agree
incredible muscle memory!
His fingers are a pure pleasure just to watch.
Smokey when I see a guitar playing hand with all the four fingers have the same length, I immediately know it's Paul

How wonderful, I played some of this stuff of Bach on the classical guitar in my childhood
Bach Concerto for Two Violins BWV 1043 1:54 very nice
Yeah Vivaldi did the 4 season, but just wow. I don’t think people understand how strong and delicate one has to be to pull that off. I think that unseats EVH for best tapping riff of all time.
Paul's control and dynamics are second to none.
2023, Still a masterpiece of a guitar video! 💪🤘🔥

For my money he is better than Yngwie, but that is pure subjectivity. For virtuosity combined with incredible creativity, I will always say Steve Vai is the leader of the pack.
I think Yngwie was the most gifted but his ego ruined his further development
Inhwe who?
I would say Jason Becker
I friggin love this video! ❤🎉
Still watching in 2021, Man is a God!
Possibly my new favorite video on youtube... I absolutely love playing Bach on my guitar. :)
Loved the littel "Green Tinted Sixties Mind" input, at the end of Toccata and Fugue.
OMG! PG is a monster 😭😭😭
Paul is GUITAR GOD
This kid is gonna be real big some day.........
Crazy solos 😢🎶🎸

Came for the guitar he was playing, stayed for the music
That guitar looks fucking badass...I want it
Now you don't see this on Xfactor.
Classical pieces in guitar RULES!!
I like that guitar! I think Paul Gilbert should give it to me as an inspiration to others 😃
It's unbelievable that this video only has 160 248 reproductions, and avicii has more than 95 millions....sick sad world
@Jamsessionroom1337 i was told by Paul Gilbert in a private lesson at MI that Buckethead and Paul were students and friends at MI and Jammed out together, thats why they seem so similar because they fed off each others style

You have to admit that Yngwie should be on there too, you can instantly tell it's him playing by his vibrato.
