I have a OnePlus 11 & enjoy the OxygenOS experience so far. I was looking to pick this up mostly for productivity (planning content, managing work calendar, occasional photo editing on Lightroom) & entertainment. With the discounts they offer now you're able to get the Pad, Pen, & keyboard for around $475-490. I feel like it definitely does have it's shortcomings but at this price it definitely suits my needs!
literally the best android tablet u can get at this price
The only thing I can say about this tablet, is that its for someone who wants the Apple iPad experience without getting an Apple iPad Air and Magic Keyboard, it is cheaper to buy by at least $150 less then the Apple Setup…
& it's 120 hz
@@rionvalet it's 144 Hz
I have a oneplus 10 pro and the upcoming software update is supposed to include the data share, I think that would be the largest draw since no other manufacturer has that..and yes I know mobile Hotspot but that's an extra step and an extra cost.. I already have an iPad and iPhone, I also have a galaxy tab but I am interested in new tech, I will probably buy 1 just in hopes that sales are high enough for them to make another generation
7:18 As a point of comparison, an iPad 10th Gen with Magic Keyboard and 1st gen Pencil (the non-magnetic one that requires a sold-separately Lightning-to-USB C adapter to pair and charge) runs $806.
I'd argue that $60 is worth it for the polished software experience alone. Also, for what it's worth, the adapter does come with newer 1st-gen Pencils, but fuck that charging scheme lmao
@@DNKI and dont forget the unlaminated display on the 10th gen. forget that.
@@DNKI whoa, you don't need to be that disgruntled there but admittedly it is really unfortunate that Apple has to invent solutions for nonexistent issues
Honestly
You make some really good points :]
I got the oneplus pad with the keyboard case, pencil and the tablet for $470 all together using their constant sales and discounts such as the ones for students
For that price
It's absolutely worth it :3
Definitely unbeatable at that price! I'm planning to grab it as well
$470? I got this tablet at only $320 with all the other accessories included (using student discount)
@@parthopratimsaha7121When was this?
@@parthopratimsaha7121 I live in the US, so it's much more expensive.

If Ken played osu! I'd love a reference here, lol
I like it overall. But I do wish the scrolling smoothness wasn't capped on apps like RUclips, and even in regular Google scrolling.
Otherwise, it's quick, if not the smoothest I've seen, and it's cheaper than an iPad, or even the top of the line Samsung tablets.
Colors are vibrant, and it's a joy to hold in the hand.
I don't use the tablet on the go, so the power doesn't affect me. I always charge it after a few lazy hours in bed when reading news and surfing Twitter.
The app switching taskbar must have updated, because there is one at the bottom, but I don't even use it.
Otherwise, a decent tablet. I'll probably get the keyboard cover down the line if I can find it used.
I'm doing this for $38 a month for a year. Not bank breaking. I've wasted more money on other devices to be fair.
Where can i get this Wallpaper 0:41
I had a Sony Xperia Z Tablet way back in 2014, and wish Sony still made those.
5:54 Tachiyomi. Man of culture 🫡
I wonder what your thoughts are about the upcoming Oneplus V fold.
Man that camera on the back looks like the peep hole I have on my apartment door.
great idea, but id prefer a regular at home pc. you can do way more with pc space. small tech like the one you are showing are limited
All the big tech youtubers should come together and crowd fund a line of products with features that appeal to its audience. Taking ideas & amalgamating them into what people actually need in their products. I think most of these companies are A holes and don't listen to us as much as they should, the result: wack products that always feel half baked and incomplete .
Denki talking about 'OxygenOS' as though it still exists 😅😂... It doesn't have a Taskbar/appdock bcoz OPPO hasn't implemented the feature in ColorOS 🤷
WAIT...the biggest problem you found is it doesn't have a taskbar? The problem with that is it actually does have a taskbar and you couldn't figure it out. It also has the edge option. That's a "Big L" for you frfr. You are fake news🤣
What is the name of that wallpaper
For a tablet I’m going with ipad
Tbh it depends on what u want the ipad for
Ipad=work/business
Andriod=gaming
The 7:5 ratio is completely logical if your primary interest is documents - at 1.4:1 it's very close to the A4 ratio of 1.41:1 (or sqrt(2):1), which makes it more Euro-friendly than the more letter-sized iPad.
It's also not the first tablet to use that ratio, I'm pretty sure an old Google tablet had a 1.41:1 ratio (less than 1% different).
I bought this tablet at only $320 with all the other accessories included (keyboard, pencil) using student discount. oneplus is reducing the price at a fast pace! [$343 including taxes]
if that tablet was yellow that would literally be a minion.
I'd be keen for some iPad competition but the software is always so poor on Android tablets. it's a shame.
Samsung has changed my mind on things a bit on Team Green, but it's so hard to argue against the consistency of the iPad.
@@DNKI kinda have to agree here, even android aficionados still feel a soft spot for iPads
Hmm definitely some missing features... But I'm not sure they add up to A BIG L.
oshi no ko? now denki might have to do some anime review 👀
OxygenOS on OnePlus Phone : Never Settle
OxygenOS on OnePlus Pad : "Settle Tomorrow, 4 pm at Pioneer Mall!"
Never settle!
Wallpaper Please!
I wish it was smaller, like 9 or 8 inches
1:53 Kessoku Band gangggg
Deal breaker for me is, it doesn't have a cellular connection.
Is it just me or does it look like whatever version of OxygenOS that they put on this thing looks a little too similar to iPadOS?
And you'd get any Google hardware (apart from WiFi), why? I've had Google Nexus stuff (phone and tablet) die on me literally a month after warranty expiration date. Twice.

S8 Akku 6h empty, ipad Air 6h empty, oneplus Tab?
Hopefully the Pixel Tablet makes things better
The pixel tab is more like a media consumption device
Its more of a google nest hub alternative
@@kalki9655 thats how most people use them anyways
@@BooleanDev there are many people who use tablets for gaming, editing, drawing, illustrations. The Google tab fails in all these aspects
@@kalki9655 yeah but those are all niche markets, aside from gaming. Plus, the pixel tablet would probably be okay for casual gaming, which is the majority of mobile gaming
The reason I would get any tablet is to run raspberry pi on it with ssh (Not use it's operating system that always achieves nothing but drawing, writing, and accounting) + maybe to kill time.
Tachiyomi for the win
I think people overlook that it is very good if you have a oneplus phone. Not just data share, but files, screencast, etc make it seamless. Plus for $410 for the entire set isnt a bad deal either and for that price, I think it justifies getting it. Just keep a look out for promos such as a free keyboard or Stylo.
I do think your unit had something wrong considering battery life, and pen touch incoherence on navigation.
I was in doubt but now definitely going to buy the Galaxy Tab S8. Price will drop significantly when they launch S9
I wish sony made a tablet version of my sony xperia 1 iv android phone with a 4k 120hz, 21:9 aspect ratio display, 1,000 nits brightness, headphone jack, 512gb internal storage, micro sd card slot, usb c, 10,000 mah battery and 65 watt fast charging support. I love the 21:9 aspect ratio on my sony xperia 1 iv phone. I just need a 4k 120 hz display with 5g support and unlocked so I can have unlimited data on the tablet. I used to have the sony z2 tablet from verizon and used it on tmobile with unlimited data but it only had 16gb of storage with micro usb. I really like the sony z2 tablet, I really like the walkman and video media apps on the sony tablet and phones. I use the tablet like my phone to watch 4k youtube videos, 4k movies that I rip in only iso format for uncompressed 4k videos, play games, watch live tv and sports. Basically a small portable TV in my pocket for my phone and the tablet like a portable external monitor. There are some gaming phones with 2 batteries with each battery being 3,000 mah each, so the sony tablet could have 2 batteries, 5,000 mah for each battery.
A tablet with 21:9 aspect ratio is called a walking stick.
They have the talent and resources to make a great UX, and they should, so, do it 1+.
Ps. That jacket is fire. Drop the brand and model, sir.
Why would u read oshi no ko when the anime is so good ?
the tablet can get upto 12gb ram and 256 gb storage
$479 is a very tough sell for something that could be good.
No problem with your review. I have it and love the tablet. 👍🏾. I use tablets mostly for content. I have noticed some battery issues.
oneplus hate is crazy ngl..
I think this wasn’t a sponsored 1+ video.
I genuinely hate the green color, they couldn't offer one in black? 😤
Why only 128gb?
Fr
Dont spoil oshi no ko for us @1:11
Even the notes app is a direct copy of apple notes
That would imply Android was ever good to begin with
If you were an educated user, then maybe you'd have a different opinion. Some people don't like having their hand held while using devices and being told what they can or can not install. Like comparing Windows to Mac. It's compatibility and freedom to change things to make them work better for you if you have the knowhow
Apples mismatched hardware between the iPads and lack of HDR in the cheaper models made me 100% avoid iPad. Plus iOS is just way too restrictive compared to android and Samsung is slowly but surely becoming Apple Diet/Lite. Here's hoping OxygenOS 14 fixes some key issues as I just ordered my Oneplus Pad
they've totally Settled once Carl Pei left for Nothing
One + seems to have fallen away from how they began and are, in my opinion, attempting to remain relevant. They have the ability to take on the giants but need to stop and breathe in for a minute. Personally I think Samsung nailed it with the Tab S8 Ultra and Plus. That should have been the bar for all others attempting to take on android tablets.
Love the channel. Truly enjoy the format. It’s almost like a conversation is being had with your cadence I can digest the information and form a thought and then you touch almost exactly on that thought in your next point. Fantastic.
I don't think Dennis (Ken) will see this but I think I can agree qith everyone that whenever he uploads the video Is always a banger.
you would have taskbar with gestures enabled ;P
Nope, did it both ways
@@DNKI maybe that's a oxygenOS thing or DPI thingy, try changing DPI to >=600
@@szymonnowak2961 Definitely an OxygenOS choice. Changed DPI but it didn't do anything, so they consciously wrote it off Android 13
I also find the problem with my OnePlus battery life 😢
I can't see the point of buying this over a base Tab S8 which includes a stylus to help counter the price difference. The performance, features and capability are on another level.
I don't need spen, that will save me 80$, I also like the display ratio
God you are reading oshi no ko ,
I wish you strength
pour one out for the homegirl
Thank for sharing your thoughts and experiences 😊
This frigging tablet doesn't support Netflix HDR. I wish I knew before I bought it😢
I'm with Luke one plus has been settling for years
If the OnePlus pad supports bypass charging, the batterylife is a non issue
2:32 - "That, along with the fact that it's paired with 8 gigs of RAM means that this tablet flies."
Note: My OnePlus 5 phone from 2017 (over 6 years ago) that I still use today has 8 gigs of RAM. There's no better example that shows that Moore's Law is dead than this simple fact. Why does it seem like nobody else notices that technological improvement has come to a screeching halt?
Xiaomi's tablet offerings handle the software part much better than OnePlus.
I've been curious about their stuff lately. Even if they mainly serve outside my market, the devices look pretty sweet
agreed and same for huawei also. shame huawei has no gms though
I honestly believe the bar is the iPad 10th gen at $450. If you can’t offer any tablet that’s better on speed, screen, and or build quality…you have to price it lower. Also no android tablet should come with anything other than android for tablets. Putting something else on it means you spent time and money developing it. This makes your product more expensive. Most people prefer a stock android experience. Give it to them!!
except, the iPad 10 gen doesn't have a laminate screen which makes the iPad screen feel hollow IMHO
iPad 10th gen is A$$
iPad air 5 better
Its better because its android imo..
Costs less, best in performance
And no apple storage issues.
You forget that apple outside the us is REALLY overpriced due to import laws.

Typing from OnePlus pad, this tablet is frickin amazing wow
The OnePlus Pad is the same as the Oppo Pad 2. The MSRP is too high. I like the display's form factor. However, the quality of the display itself is less than average. It's one of the weak points of the tablet. I'll probably pass.
I’m surprised it didn’t trigger a lawsuit but okay 😅
I love the one plus tablet it's my daily driver

Maybe One Plus will figure it out when users demand a taskbar.
Im sorry but samsung tab and pixel tablet(literally an iPad of android) is much better then this clone of Apple iPad. You want a iPad pro that runs android go for s8 plus or s8 ultra by Samsung. If ur going for ipad 9th gen styled or 10th gen style where it a kids tablet and ur gonna use for basic stuff then pixel tablet is much better. If u dont want an ipad os and apple thing.

It has tried it best with the first tab the oneplus pad
