As far as price goes, when i bought one of these a week ago on the oneplus store, the keyboard was a free addon, and the stylus was 50% off if you bought it at the same time. So $550 for the Tablet, the magnetic keyboard, and the stylus. Pretty good deal!
I would of ordered one immediately except there is no charger and no 3.5mm headphone jack. I hate having to charge up ear buds. Maybe next years model will be better and give us a charger and headphone jack.
I'm glad Oneplus released this. Although there's no headphone jack (which I use) there's no hole in the screen so I'll get it if their website let's me. So far you are the only one I'm subscribed to that mentioned it having no headphone jack.
Idiotic decision for not having an SD Card slot and charger. They're trying to mimic Samsung's top end offering but having less powerful SOC, IPS panel and doesn't have SD Card slot which Samsung has. Looks like they've taken only the downside of Galaxy S and Ipad tablets.
Samsung was never their target. They’re trying to compete with the iPad. Also the Tab S8 has an ips panel as well. Only S8+ and Ultra has AMOLED and they’re so much more expensive.
@@SaintAldrich I have taken Samsung as an example. There are plenty of budget tablets with OLED Screen and pretty decent SOC. For example, Lenovo Tab Pro 11 gen 2. And if they think they can compete against iPad then they're even bigger idiots because iPads' main strength comes from its rich app ecosystem and no Android tablet with a keyboard dock can't complete that. Samsung tried really hard and to some extent, they can provide a similar experience in a limited section of apps. For OnePlus, not so much.
Lovely piece of kit, and beautifully built for the cash outlay. I wonder if, when combined with the magnetic keyboard it's as good as a laptop at the same price bracket? Great review, very informative.

It's their first tablet bit this is still pretty L. They need more storage and more Ram! And where is the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip? Also, why is there no charger in the box? Don't follow Samsung and apple! They should include the pen in the box just like Samsung! If someone needs a budget tablet then they should go with a galaxy A tab not this! Next one plus tab needs to include: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip 100W charger in the box Stylus on the box Much more storage Either expandable storage or more storage options More ram (12gb-16gb ram) Better amoled screen bigger screen! Things I like: Aspect ratio Pixel density Low price(i dont mind an increase if it comes with the stuff i mentioned earlier) OxygenOS More colors please!
Anything more on your dream list? Such as giving an option to integrate with your mind? Having all those features you just mentioned and giving the tablet away for free to customers?
6:14 This comparison doesn't make sense, for example the Tab S8 gives the pen with the tablet for free. That changes it not by a lot, but puts the Tab S8 much closer to the 10th Gen
Go to battery settings and turn on high performance mode and run geekbench again .im bored with most youtubers not knowing that and assuming its a slower chip than it actually is.this setting is on all oneplus/vivo/oppo/realme phones and tablets
Not sure why they'd put it in international markets without a Snapdragon chip. Hopefully the next generation OnePlus Pad has better storage and RAM options, an OLED display and a proper Snapdragon chip. I understand all these features will increase the price by quite a bit but it's necessary if this is to be a proper Android table cause as of now, this tab is a mixed bag even though it is relatively cheap
Under $449 OnePlus pad is definitely the best tablet in specs. They should have launched a OnePlus pad pro with the flagship Snapdragon 8Gen2 with Amoled display. You should know, an 11 inch amoled display costs around $250. If they have given an OLED/Amoled display, then the price would have been around $600 and people would have gone for ipads.
Does it come with a good handwritten notes / annotation app? I know iPad has goodnotes and notability that you can buy, and samsung tablets have samsung notes which is pretty good to annotate pdfs, but what about this tablet?
Obsessed with my OnePlus Pad! The display is a total winner for movies and shows - crisp visuals and big enough to really suck you in. Plus, the speakers pack a surprising punch for a tablet, delivering great sound. Battery life is no slouch either, lasting a full day of browsing and video binging. The only thing that bugs me a bit is it feels a bit slippery, especially when I'm on the go. To solve that, I'm thinking about a gadgetshieldz matte TPU screen and body protection film. It'll give me some extra grip to hold onto this bad boy and protect it from scratches, all while keeping the OnePlus Pad looking sleek. Win-win!
IPad Pro user here. I think this looks great. The one thing that kinda annoys me about the keyboard is the product image makes it look like it’s just a copy of the Magic Keyboard.

Biased towards Dimensity lol. I have been playing Genshin impact in the highest setting on the OnePlus pad, it works far more than what I have expected. It gives you 56+ average Fps in the highest setting which is better than the ipad 10 gen with the underclocked A14's gaming performance.

😂this is much better that iPad 10, and you talking about iPad 9th gen!!!!
@@technospeaker7744 I mentioned iPad 10 .. but now that you point out.. have you checked the Geekbench scores for iPad 9 … ??? You’d be surprised 😁
does it support face and fingerprint unlocking?
3:52 Yes, 12/256 will be available in India. 💯
As far as price goes, when i bought one of these a week ago on the oneplus store, the keyboard was a free addon, and the stylus was 50% off if you bought it at the same time. So $550 for the Tablet, the magnetic keyboard, and the stylus. Pretty good deal!
does it support single cable mode docking, i.e. thunderbolt usb-c to desktop display output, usb hub and power delivery?
can it be connected to hdmi or to share to TV screen for presentation ?
Great video, thank you. Is it mandatory to buy the keyboard? I have an iPad with separate keyboard but never use it… thoughts?
where did you buy it?
They should have added a micro sd slot and micro SIM card slot and then it would make it interesting for that price
The OnePlus Pad Go has both of those but it's got a slower processor.
quality vid. Subbed.
Thanks!
After seeing how smooth 144hz is on this tablet i think every new phone that comes out should have 144hz. Silky!
I love my OnePlus Tablet - picked it up cheap on sale and free extras too offered - matches by OnePlus 12 phone also - excellent device
I would of ordered one immediately except there is no charger and no 3.5mm headphone jack. I hate having to charge up ear buds. Maybe next years model will be better and give us a charger and headphone jack.
Good points
Would have*
I'm glad Oneplus released this. Although there's no headphone jack (which I use) there's no hole in the screen so I'll get it if their website let's me. So far you are the only one I'm subscribed to that mentioned it having no headphone jack.
Is this tab good for digital design?
Can you use with an external display?
Now we need a comparison between xiaomi pad 6 pro and Oneplus Pad 👍
just cant wait
Lovely piece of kit, and beautifully built for the cash outlay.
I wonder if, when combined with the magnetic keyboard it's as good as a laptop at the same price bracket?
Great review, very informative.
GREAT REVIEW BRO
Great review, I like the fact you put up comparison tables. Just 1 small niggle, for the iPad Air there is a smart keyboard folio which is £199 and is actually more comparable to the keyboard that comes with the OnePlus Pad (but offers 2 screen positions).
If we doing niggles, that’s for the iPad 10. The Air uses the Magic Keyboard ;)
@@sloppynyuszi There is also an 11 inch Smart Keyboard Folio for the iPad Air and Pro.
I think you should rather compare it with Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, Lenovo Tab P11 gen2 or Samsung S7 lite.
Quick question, dose the tablet support wireless (QI) charging ?
4:28 - What reader app are you using to read this book? Looks fantastic.
Kindle app :)
@@Thetechchap Thanks for the fast reply. Preordered the OnePlus Pad 2 and I'm pretty excited to have a tab for the first time in 10 years. I hope you do a review for that new tab eventually too!
They lost me at LCD screen.
It’s not an iPad Pro competitor
even ipad uses LCD screen. this one's a really good lcd tho
No tablet has an OLED display at this price
Mee 2
I'm using an LCD on my Tab S8 and it looks great. I'd imagine this screen will be good as well
Would love to see a pro version
Got mine on pre order, with the free keyboard, so looking forward to see how it is, for £449 its a bargin, spec wise, i use a Samsung tab for work, all be it a A model but it is slow and brutal to use, so hoping this is better, and i will use this as my main work pad.
How’s is it
I used to have a Samsung flagship phone, but they are just slow and laggy, i will never go back to one ui it just isnt as smooth as other os while oxygen os is the fastest android os
Finally got mine on Friday, first impressions, nice and smooth, keyboard, is just like my ipad pro one, but it is very smart looking, and light
Next one plus tab needs to include:
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip
100W charger in the box
Stylus on the box
Much more storage
Either expandable storage or more storage options
More ram (12gb-16gb ram)
Better amoled screen
bigger screen!
Things I like:
Aspect ratio
Pixel density
Low price(i dont mind an increase if it comes with the stuff i mentioned earlier)
OxygenOS
More colors please!
Anything more on your dream list? Such as giving an option to integrate with your mind? Having all those features you just mentioned and giving the tablet away for free to customers?
Amyone know how the pen functions? Is it smooth? Good feedback whem writing or drawing? I'm consideing for school
Which one will be better Samsung s8 or this OnePlus pad ... please suggest
I've rather say Xiaomi pad 5 is a real iPad killer instead of OnePlus pad 😢
Samsung's pen is bundled, right?
can i have a link for the keypad cover that you are using with this tab
6:14
This comparison doesn't make sense, for example the Tab S8 gives the pen with the tablet for free. That changes it not by a lot, but puts the Tab S8 much closer to the 10th Gen
That's a fair point. my mistake
Pretty sure iPads still use LCD screens...
Go to battery settings and turn on high performance mode and run geekbench again .im bored with most youtubers not knowing that and assuming its a slower chip than it actually is.this setting is on all oneplus/vivo/oppo/realme phones and tablets
Is this a great jump in performance compared to Xiaomi pad 5? Or just fine not upgrading?
youre totally fine with pad 5, not worth the upgrade
Needs to have a bigger price gap below the iPad 10 imo. The screen is nicer sure, but that's not enough.
Great review. seemed genuine and fair in the assessment. thanks for pointing out the shortcomings and being forthright about gaming performance.
Interesting video as always.....I was wondering why there isn't an explanatory video about his camera.....is it that bad?😅😂
Does it come with a good handwritten notes / annotation app? I know iPad has goodnotes and notability that you can buy, and samsung tablets have samsung notes which is pretty good to annotate pdfs, but what about this tablet?
FYI...the RED cable is a OnePlus signature color. It doesn't matter what color the device is, the cable has always been red.
Is there any way you can do a video about 2 or 3 of Best tablets in different price ranges. $200 and below, 200-500, $500 and up or if you can figure out better pricing brackets
I was either going to get a second hand 12.9 iPad (for approx £450) or a new Honor 8 Pad as I am a magazine addict and want it for Readly (most mags are around A4 size). I don't care less about power or refresh rate. This screen ratio looks close to 12.9 iPad. What would you guys go for if me ?
Definitely not an honor 8 pad. If you decide to stick with android I would get this Oneplus pad or the Xiaomi pad.
I hope you got the iPad lol
You disqualify for the name thetechchap when you don't even know the red cable is part of OnePlus's branding. Their community is called The Red Cable Club. So now you're just TheChap 😂👍
how is the stylus pen, because nothing comes close to apple pencil, i know because i take handwritten notes for it.
Can I make notes on PowerPoint presentations with the stylus on this ?
Watching OnePlus review in OnePlus pad to know OnePlus pad better😂
How's HDR support in streaming apps ? Does it support it ?
yes
Does it have PC mode?
From what I've seen here today this thing looks amazing and much better than the others you compared!! 😎
where can i get one and how much in USD?
Can’t decide. This or the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro? Help……
No amoled? Wouldnt even piss on it.
Thanks. Please work on the in depth review for the OnePlus Pad 2.
You planning on reviewing the Xiaomi pad 6/6 pro? Maybe a comparison between the OnePlus pad and that would be good?
This one has google play store?
Does it support desktop version of Lightroom?
Can you set-up 2 separate user profiles on that tablet?
Frankly, the mediatek dimensity 9000 chipset is extremely powerful and is rated at 3.0 GHz per second. I would definitely choose this over the Google pixel tablet that came out recently. In fact, I think the processor is one of the main reasons people would choose the OnePlus. I really don't understand his seemingly uninformed grievances about the processor. LMAO.
Biased towards Dimensity lol.
I have been playing Genshin impact in the highest setting on the OnePlus pad, it works far more than what I have expected.
It gives you 56+ average Fps in the highest setting which is better than the ipad 10 gen with the underclocked A14's gaming performance.
@@blaze26700 in fact, the mediatek dimensity 9000 chipset is the equivalent of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It can really hold its own.👍
will they release a version with a better CPU and a higher storage space soon, or will we have to wait till next year or so?
Do you think he’s a Oneplus employee?
Who knows. They may end up bringing a pro version out if this sells well fingers.crossed.
@@katinasoutherland7693 wouldn't expect to see 8 gen 2 or Dimensity 9200 tablets this year. For some reason tablets always lag a year behind phones for CPU's, unless you go with top range Samsung tablets, which will probably release their S9 range with 8 gen 2 chips in the Fall. For most tablets the latest and greatest isn't really interesting anyway, as they're mostly used for media consumption.
