    my deal breaker for this is if it needs repairs there is only one service center in the united states. for instance, if the battery needs to be replaced they have to do it because its proprietary and regular repair stores will not have it available. no one ever mentions customer service and warranty info in reviews. i bought a new S8 instead for a lot less.

      @@JimIBobIJones the S8 is perfect for my needs. It was cheaper than the pad 2 and does what I need it to do. I can also have the peace of mind to know it can be fixed by my fast and friendly local repair shop if needed.

      Yeah, I figured I might give it a try for the price, but I'm going to return my Pad 2 and just get an S9 Plus. Sure, I have the older Snapdragon gen 2 processor, but the benchmarks show that the performance isn't far behind the Pad 2. Overall, I think the software is better on Samsung, and I also miss having the fingerprint scanner and the tap-to-wake function. Also, there are app incompatibility issues with my Pad 2.

    Personally, I own the original OnePlus pad and I've been very satisfied with it. In my opinion, the biggest draw to this tablet is the Snapdragon 8 generation 3 chipset. Frankly, it's the best chipset available bar none. Still, the mediatek dimensity 9000 is no slouch and is quite capable. I haven't experienced any issues with it. Obviously, OnePlus did an amazing job with the pad too but, I don't feel the need to upgrade as of yet. Furthermore, last year's magnetic keyboard appears far more stable than this years. Either way, both tablets are a very good value.

      @@shashinggg9652 the answer is no, there are no green lines in any of my OnePlus devices. Currently I own the OnePlus pad, 1 + 12 and the 11. I've had the pad for one year and no issues. Frankly, the only OnePlus devices that have ever experienced green lines were the ones sold in india. The global and North American models have never had the issue. In addition, there hasn't been an issue with green lines since the OnePlus 8 series back in 2020. Again, those issues we're isolated to the Indian models. Frankly, it's been a long time and I'm a little shocked that people are still talking about that. LOL

      I am gonna sold my one plus pad, and get the 2. I am happy with the 1, but I feel it lacks power for some emulation. Basically the 2 is all I ever wanted to have in the pad 1, a snapdragon CPU, a bigger trackpad, more space between the keyboard and the screen and 256go of storage. Hope the pen is even better.

    • @dr.fitprofessor1970
      @dr.fitprofessor1970 Месяц назад +1

      @@gzaos the track pad is larger but, the magnetic keyboard is more unstable. It's not something you can sit in your lap and expect to stay balanced. I've never experienced lag with the mediatek dimensity 9000. Of course, I set the RAM booster to maximum. It's set to 16GB and that should be more than sufficient for anyone. Anyway, enjoy the pad too. It looks quite nice.

  • @savedrotex

    Ordered one already, waiting excitedly for it. Currently have a xiaomi Pad 6 with snap dragon 870 + 8 GB Ram & 256 GB storage. It's on Android 14, but I don't know how long xiaomi will continue to update it. I contacted the OnePlus customer service and they said OnePlus pad 2 will receive 3 years of Major Android updates and 4 years of security updates meaning that it should be good with updates till 2028. I hope to use it till 2027 & then sell it late 2027 so that whoever buys it can still get a year or some months of security updates. Once I transfer all my stuff on my xiaomi Pad 6 to the oneplus pad 2, I will be selling my xiaomi Pad 6 right away.

    Received mine yesterday and blown away by it. I'm all in on OLED. TV phone and laptop all use the tech so I was hesitant about going with an LCD display but the price using a borrowed student discount was too good to miss. Genuinely blown away by it. The display is punchy and way better than the contrast rating would suggest. It's really not far off OLED quality. Speakers are incredible and performance is epic and that's just leaving it on the default battery saving power plan.
    My only criticism is that palm rejection is not good enough for a tablet device with such slim bezels. I'm constantly activating the display when holding it as fingers spill onto the display.

    I haven't used Android on a tablet for about three years but the last time I did it was a miserable experience. Common apps like Twitter didn't even have a tablet layout, they were just stretched out phone apps that looked ridiculous on a tablet sized display. Has that improved? I much prefer Android on phones and my iPad 8th gen is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I'm looking for a sub £500 replacement. I will most likely wait and see what the 11th gen iPad looks like but this would be appealing IF the app situation is better.
