It seemed like you didn't have much time to train for your early fight due to your bicep tear. But now with your bicep better, you have around 4 months to do some solid training before the fight. Look forward to watching this fight
The first one certainly wasn't ideal, but it was a great opportunity and I got the win. I'm very excited to have time to properly prepare for this next one.
@@VikingSamurai you calling a professional fighter that's knocked guys out in mma and bareknuckle boxing.. your stepping stone .. that mindet isn't confidence its just shows how delusional you are .. no real fighter goes into a fight thinking he's just my stepping stone especially when he's levels above you.. I thought that when i fought a French judoka thought this will be easy had been training Thai boxing from a kid had my first fight at 11 then became a national champion.. thought I was going to be the next Anderson silva.. took a mma fight after 6 weeks of training 🙈 was 19 and got thrown around like a empty tracksuit and submitted in just over a minute.. but that was me not respecting my oppent who was a french elite level judoka had been to the jr Olympics.. but I thought in my head he can't strike keep my distance and just smash him with leg kicks and then dominate him 🙈😅😅 yeah that was a learning experience but without that loss I wouldn't have got obsessed with grappling my son wouldn't be a two time national champion and a sponsored athlete.. he got put into judo at 4 so I learned my lesson and even in grappling competitions never judge a book by its cover guys look skinny smaller roll with them and there skill level is elite .. big guy 6 pack tattoos juiced to the max.. end up all strength no technique after a min plus he's done cardio isn't there and you get a quick submission.. but see him in a bar you would think 😮hes a big tough guy .. no the skinny guy with glasses he's the guy that fuck you up.. but you learn these things the more you compete and are around gyms with elite fighters .. never call a guy like Jimmy a steeping stone.. that's just dumb Jimmy isn't your stepping stone thats a terrible mindset

Love your channel. My only suggestion is to change your stance in the boxing ring. The stance in your last fight was not conducive to throwing punches with proper boxing technique and leaves you woefully exposed. Keep up the great content.
Viking you need to have an actual boxer train you. No disrespect to Don Wilson, obviously, but he is not a boxer and he is not a boxing trainer. You need to train with a legitimate boxing trainer. Your stance was extremely awkward and I'm surprised that wasn't corrected by whoever was helping you prior to the fight.
I think that fight was just different. Only 3 rounds and with head gear it's important to come out aggressive in a fight that short if you can which he did which usually wins judges over.

@@VultureLivesAgain Well a 3 round fight with head gear you don't have time to play around and figure out your opponent and throw away rounds. You have to be aggressive and in attack mode. He was the aggressor which is why he won.

For anyone who doesn't think there are better and different ways to get fights, look what Jake Paul is doing with Tyson in a football stadium on Netflix, truly inspiring he can pull that off!

You can spend all day training with the crème de la crème-Don Wilson, Witherspoon, pick your star-but , These legends? They're not exactly churning out champions left and right, except, well, themselves. Take Don Frye's less-celebrated brother, for example. Just a car mechanic but went to the gym part time. Not exactly a household name, yet he was the secret sauce behind Frye's double UFC champ title. It's a classic case of the unsung hero offering more than the marquee names. He said he could beat every famous name but never could beat his brother. Same with the Gracies. Not all fought, but just practiced amongst the famiy and whip the snot out of Royce who was the champion.
Now, let's talk genetics. Wilson, Witherspoon-these guys hit the genetic lottery, which is why they stood on those winner's podiums. It's not just about shadowing a big name and hoping their greatness rubs off on you. And when your performance doesn't stack up, guess what? Even the great Don is quietly hitting the "muted" button on social media after what was, let's not sugarcoat it, a less-than-stellar display in the ring.
Moving onto your face-off with Jimmy. Reality check: He's been knocking out bona fide fighters, while you, my friend, barely made a scratch on Will Stronghold. He's out there saying your punches were like love taps. And those sparring videos of his? They're not doing you any favors, showing him get roughed up by his own sparring partner which is something you couldn't do to him.
So, before you go on another tirade or puff up your chest about what you're going to do to Jimmy, maybe take a long, hard look in the mirror. It's time to stop the trash talk and start asking if you're really living up to your own hype, or just full of hot air.
Jimmy is gonna pound the crap out of him. It will be a very exciting moment.

I can't. Sorry. Was going to join Justices channel, I saw he had 2K subs. I mean, I get it, he needs organic growth and fast. But before I just blindly clicked sub, I scrolled to the end of his videos and that dude has been on RUclips for 11 years. 11 Years worth of video uploads. Mind you sparsely. Few here, few there. And that was that. They say you know if a business is going to make it in the first 6 moths and if you finish a year you're now established. The same goes for a RUclips channel. The scale is a bit longer but I'm sure I'm being obvious at this point.
Consistency is key, my RUclips channel finally started getting views 9 months in. I think Jimmy can build good from here if he's consistent

I'm a Brit. A former kickboxing instructor with the PKA. I Appaud David for getting in the ring it takes guts. Part of my training in kickboxing was training and sparing with real boxers hands only. That way expert lessons and experiences are gained. Having seen just a tiny bit of vikings last fight I was actually shocked by how wide his stance was. It was very traditional karate like and it just doesn't work in a boxing match. You were lunging for punches and your defence left alot to be desired. You were getting caught with very simple punches. Even kick boxers stances was no way as wide as yours. If Don Wilson did oversee your training for that fight then I have to say I am disappointed in him letting you get in the ring fighting like that. I'm not here to belittle you I'm simply talking as a member of the PKA. our heritage is proffessional kickboxing. Founding guys were Joe Lewis. Bill Wallace etc. I'm simply stating my reasons and hoping that for any other future fights you seriously need to step up your game. Get rid of the extremely wide stance. Learn better defence and actually box no slugging. Because judging from your last fight unfortunately despite what your fantasy says you were not very impressive. You had a great many flaws you need working on. And remember. Talk is cheap end of the day you gotta be able to back it up. Your abilitys are a concern if I'm honest. Good luck in your quest
Well, I only had a week to work with Don and he helped get me comfortable with the high guard and sparring him and some other guys in the gym. With that short amount of time and my torn bicep that was still healing (which limited its use), I was quite happy with how the fight turned out. I ended up resorting to what was naturally comfortable for me though, which is my karate stance. The next fight I'll have months to train properly, not just with Don but the main boxing coach Phil Paolina and have full use of both arms, the difference will be like night and day.
