Viking samurai can't handle anything derogatory said about Steven seagal. 😂😂😂😂
Lol
@@VikingSamuraiWhat Michael Jai White is saying is that Steven Seagal never fought professionally as a fighter. That is true. Seagal doesn’t have a fight record. I don’t understand why you take it so personal. Seagal is not a nice guy so who cares. His career is over. He will never be the star that he was before. The 90’s are over.
He's a massive Seagal stan. He truly believes he's a God amongst fighters 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ScandalJackson4748 he didn't really have a comeback, did he? 😉😂
@@Snyper1405 He tried to make a comeback with the movie “Exit Wounds” that was in 2001 but then he did a crappy film the following year called “Half Past Dead”.. After that his career went straight down the toilet. He’s done straight to video garbage films for 20 something years now.
'No one ever wins a fight' -Dalton
Only a true Warrior can comprehend that statement!💪🏾💪🏻💪💪🏽
The true definition of a Warrior is understanding his role as protector, diplomat and above all being HONORABLE! Combat is a last resort when all other means of de-escalation fails.

Stallone's account of this fight is on RUclips. Stallone said Van Damme was 'too strong' for Seagal.
Can you please post a link to that clip? 🙂
@@joske103 I can possibly do that later tonight.
Stallone never said that in public. They quoted him. Chuck Zito told me on instagram that Seagal would have destroyed van Damme easily and director Philippe Martinez who directed van Damme in "Wake of Death" also said that Seagal is too skilled and strong for van Damme. The interview is even on youtube.
@Katzenhase And MJW said Van Damme would win against Seagal. This topic shouldn't be a debate, there is no question about who would win. #JCVD
To strong if they were young, right fool.
Arguably, sparring is the highest form of training as it teaches numerous skills. Has Seagal ever legitimately sparred someone that wasn’t during an Aikido demonstration? I think that’s the point White was trying to make.
I'm sorry 😂 you lost me with Seagal beating Van Damme in a street fight.
As much as I despise Seagal, he is quite a bit taller and at least 50kg heavier than van Damme. This matters, a lot.

Seagal in his prime way better and faster with his hands and Van Damn was way better with his legs but if Seagal closed the distance and used his hands and front kick combos it's all over with.
@@shawnsmith2610 where's the evidence seagal was better with his hands? There's only videos of him defending himself by his opponents purposely throwing themselves down as segal touches them. In a real fight you don't just touch your opponent and they throw themselves down.

Good enough for your standards?
I believe JCVD would win in the ring and street.
Van Damn was way better with his feet and legs but Steven was way better and faster with his hands and way better at grappling techniques he is a 7 degree black belt in Aikido which uses a lot of throws, submissions and bone breaking techniques.
Van Damn took Shotokan Karate.
If Van Damn fought like he did in No Retreat No Surrender then he might win.
Can I laugh to your face?
@Katzenhase can I laugh in yours? 😁
Michael Jai White at least admits Van Damme is a martial artist 😂
I saw the interview and Steven's response was that he thought the idea of a fight was silly, that he'd win too easily. Van Damme was just getting annoyed that Steven was continuously talking negatively about him. I would have loved to see them fight (as the style of characters that they portrayed), rather than a real fight.
Well Steven obviously thought he'd lose otherwise ge back up his talk.
@@knightrider6473If they simulate characters they play Damm will lose each and every time. I'd choose JVD in a street fight as well. His experience in real fights combined with his speed and athleticism I think would flat out over-come Seagal. (In their prime.) Van Damm's strength in the movie No Retreat No Surrender looked on another level. Now if you're talking about a "fight to the death" sort of street fight, that is a coin-toss. If you mean MMA, KO-street-fight, Muay Thai, etc. Van Damn wins easy!

Stallone did talk about it briefly. I don't underestimate anyone, but I think Van Damme would get Steven if they fought. We'll never know though.
Stallone never did talk about it in public. He was only quoted by a press guy and nobody knows if that is his opinion because he never talked about it.
Steven Seagal is huge dude so he is not a guy to underestimate of course Van Damme will have to be fast and kick very hard. I'm on Van Damme site any way 💪
Chuck Norris say said about, Bruce Lee, " He has never fought professionally in a ring, I have many times; so that's all I am going to say about that; on the question, Who would win Him or I if We fought " !
Van damn will win.
I couldn't care less who would win in a fight, I love both of them, legends
Seagal actually did talk about it on an episode of Lawman, so it definitely happened
I just want to clarify that that story came out way before The Expendables 2 did. So there was not any kind of interest from Stallones or Avi Lerners part to promote Van Damme over Seagal back then. In fact you have a 2008 video on a french tv show where Van Damme explains how it all happened.
Aikido literally requires an opponent to be compliant. I trained in Aikido for years and I had to ALLOW my sensei to complete techniques on me.
Seagal is a master of multiple styles, not just Aikido. And Seagal's Aikido is pre WW2 style. Very hard contact and more similar to Catch Wrestling and Judo.
What would happen if you weren’t compliant?

I did see the interview with Stallone where he told the story about The challenge from Van Damme to Steven seagal and the story was synonymous with what Van Damme also said about the challenge. Van Damme challenged him and segal disappeared.
I saw MJW "spar" Jon Jones. He has a high opinion of himself and he does stammer like a retired fighter but often he is delusional. It is nice to hear someone defend that lunatic Seagal.
So even you admit the guy is a "lunatic" 🤣
You Steven fans are legit delusional this dude is not beating none of them prime for prime especially not Jai White hed brutalize Steven
I'd have to go with Van Damme, unless its a wrestling match or a knife fight.
You do realise that SS is an action star, not a "real" fighter? 😂
@@Snyper1405 well yeah thats why i went with Van Damme.
Both are legends, great video assessment!
People ignore the fact that Seagal also has a 4th Dan in Karate.
If you combine karate and aikido you have a functional standup system. Add sone takedown defense and you're good against all but the most skilled grappler.
And, Seagal is huge. Way bigger than the rest of these guys.
I think JVCD has always been more fit and that matters in a fight, but there is a difference between thinking Seagal is an ass, and thinking he can't fight.
One is an opinion, the other just ain't so.
The thing is, Sensei Seagal considers himself a warrior. He just has that samurai mentality. That's old school and of course most of the "new kids" from the MMA gyms think it's ridiculous.
But.
The man doesn't have to prove himself. All these rumors about beef between movie stars just create more celebrity attention and video views.
You have to remember - the man is always armed.
Always!
He's probably even wearing a bulletproof vest under his big shirt, a gun and maybe more. You shouldn't attack someone like that on principle. Or would you attack an ex-bodyguard, an ex-policeman or another close combat professional?
His Aikido techniques are only part of the deadly fighting repertoire he has mastered. He has trained all his life, not to prove himself in an Octagon or on the mats. In real life, there are no referees or brave bystanders who can always save you. Like any professional with tactical close combat skills, he wants to end the fight as quickly as possible. Not fencing around, as in boxing, but incapacitating the opponent as quickly as possible.
Every professional knows that the longer the fight lasts, the more things can go wrong. So why take the risk?
And anyway, what would have happened if he had seriously injured JCVD in the bar? Maybe both movie careers would have ended immediately.
The MMA pros can't just fight anyone on the street. After all, it's a career and a lot of money. MMA is also a kind of show business. Or do you have to solve every provocation immediately with violence? This isn't the schoolyard. So Seagal reacted sensibly and didn't take the situation seriously.
If JCVD actually challenged him, then he was probably drunk and not so brave the next day. Or it's an age-old show business rumor trick.
And don't forget that Seagal said in an interview that he'll take any challenge, but only if there's no money involved, no witnesses and no cameras. One on one, somewhere where you're alone.
Why won't anyone join in? ...
I’m from west Africa and over the years I have noticed that most Hollywood actors or American doesn’t like Steven Seagal. Even though many people hate him in America but what they don’t is this, Steven is impacting his knowledge in the generations to come. Presently Seagal is still teaching and touching many lives. I’m not a Steven fan but what draw my attention is how many are criticizing him and saying all kinds of things about him.
Your Nuclear bomb analogy was perfect.
There was documentary I watched years ago with seagal he was with his teacher and said they used to get challenged all the time in Japan
Respect the guy opinion. He’s clearly a Steven Seagull fan. 😂
There is not ONE other martial artist in Hollywood that has the credentials Seagal has.
Bruce Lee doesn't count. He was a unique genius. But Seagal had better traditional belt recognition. In Japan.
Why can't you get seagal for an interview and help him get back in shape so enough is enough . I dream for another seagal hit

Now, in 1989 or 90, 91 imo in a spur of the moment surprise Street fight, I think Seagal would win. In a point oriented Karate match or some kind of Kickboxing match maybe Van Damme. Seriously though, quite a few people said don't let Seagal get ahold of your wrist/hand, even Luke Rockhold, an actual ((fighter))

Dude Steven isnt beating no Jean bro Jean was in shape his kicks alone would have destroyed Steven
@Treyski4410 lol I disagree. There's no way Seagal couldn't see those signature telegraphed kicks coming. Van Damme is famous for getting in obvious position. He's never been fast or illusive with anything he does.

You're awesome Viking - but Van Damme drills Steven IMHO. You remember Sheldon Lettich (spelling?) was on your channel and thought something like "Van Damme would put him down pretty easily" and he had experience with both people. Van Damme was in competitions and sparred with world champions and Steven did demonstrations.
What a decent Narrative with someone with an open mind that dictakes reality instead of the blind following the blind.
About the party at Stallones house where Van Damme challenged Seagal i had heard about it in the tabloids many years before there ever was an Expendable movie so its not a new story :)
Also Stallone did an official Q&A on StalloneZone where he talked about the party and the Van Damme Vs Seagal thing.
But i dont belive i have ever seen a clip interview where we hear Stallone talk about it?
Put it this way... IF you talk negative about someone consistently as STEVEN SEAGAL did to Van Damme the 1st thing a REAL trash talker who is ACTUALLY a fighter would do is prove it... instead he acted as a humble fighter.... How can someone be both Humble and cocky at the same time... Truth is right there that he's mostly just talk and I love his old movies... none of his new ones because he becomes invincible and untouchable so there is really no action
Notice how Viking Samurai ignores comments like yours? Dudes a hack like his lord and savior Seagal.
This is true, why ignore the fact he also talks smack about these same people, it seems he brings it on himself no offense to Seagal
Great video!! According to Michael, he is the only one that knows how to fight in Hollywood.
Thats cool that Van Damme was sparring with him and Dae Han. Not too long ago Simon Rhee liked my comment on one of his posts. I quoted Dae Han i said "HOOSTON!". And he liked it 😁. That was cool.
Michael is a lifelong Seagal fan and he's too afraid to admit it.
Stallone witnessed it
I’m not gonna say Seagal isn’t a martial artist because of his background in Japan. But against Van Damme in his prime I don’t think he stands a chance. Van Damme was the kick boxing champion of Belgium. At the end of the day the one with the most fighting skill has a much better chance of winning.
Anymore insight into John Little? Did you talk to John Paul Daily yet? One of Tommy Carruthers instructors?
I like both van damme and seagal. Both are two of my favourite action stars. Stallone, Arnold and Dolph are up there, too.
Personally I'm not a fighter per say , but I've been in street fights and you use whatever you have body wise to win , head, hands, legs and feet. So I would have to give the edge to Van Damme cause I've never seen Seagal ever use anything but his hands and that can only go for so long . But I guess we'll never really know .
I don't care about Van Damme, Seagal, etc I like it!! PS: Nobody is perfect!
There is something i dont undestand about MJV…if he is a black belt in kyokushin…then he must have competed in kyokushin tournaments to even get a black belt?
And look at the latest sparring videos of Van Damme doing light sparring against mma fighter Cody Garbrandt…Van Damme has much better timing compared to MJV🤷♂️
And there is lots of photos and articles from Van Dammes fighting career, even one ore two photos from where he is knocked down in the ring…
Where are the evidence from MJV fighting? There is only one video I could find from some point fight tournament in the late 80s or early 90s🤷♂️
he did compete, he did point fighting tournaments though, there's video of it
The first account came from Stallone when he had done some interview for a website I can't remember. But this might have been around 2006 when Rocky Balboa came out.
Interesting
@@VikingSamurai could have been Rambo 4. Around that time for sure. I think it might have been some form of Q&A, I recall he expressed an interest in remaking Deathwish and some people kinda poo pooed the idea, putting him off. This was before the remake craze kicked off too.
I like your video and like seagal and van damme very much but I think you are giving seagal a little too much credit for his fighting ability because aikido doesn’t have competitions and we never saw him pressure test what he knows. Not that i don’t think that he could fight.
Another Aikido guy that was running his own classes set out to prove that Aikido was effective against other styles and ended up leaving Aikido behind to train in actual effective forms of fighting. His channel is called Martial Arts Journey. Aikido is an absolute waste of time. Looks great against people who are cooperating, but against someone fighting back it simply doesn't work.
Agree, except the liking very much part.
Van Damme ran his mouth in the late nineties (usually under the influence of cocaine) and was generally considered to be a bit of a mess in this period,
The Chuck Zito incident springs to mind
I think Van Dam would have won if they had fought. Seagal im sure with his size, understanding, and practice of leverage and joint manipulation could hurt people.

I love Michael Jai White but he does sometimes give contradicting statements especially related to JCVD and Seagal. We would never have the truth about which one of them will win in a fight but we will never stop discussing this topic even after they are gone.
I think in the future, all action stars should have this in their contract when they are signing up in a hollywood action movie starring as a fighter / martial artist, that they will have to prove themselves in a couple of UFC matches. This could actually be beneficial for both the movies and the star, unless he / she loses. 😄
I have heard Stallone talk about the story I wanna say it was on Howard stern show

That was a diss bro, to say Vlad would beat Seagal is super disrespectful. I'm sure Aikdo isn't the only thing Steven knows, I wouldn't be shocked if he knew Jits or Judo as well. Imo JCVD would win based on the explosive kicks I've seen on screen and if he trains his hands, hed be a good kickboxer
The only reason I think Seagal would stand a chance against Van Damme is because of his size advantage. But you'd better believe that Van Damme has better range because of his kicks. (And I don't mean the fancy flying kicks he does in the movies; I mean very practical kicks like low kicks and front kicks and side kicks.) I'd put my money on Van Damme because none of the evidence shows me Seagal can counter powerful strikes from a trained kickboxer or MMA guy.
I think seagal may have beat van dam back in the day not because of martial arts ability but because he is actual big guy
Seagal would have took him down
Van damme negs , seagal is fake Van damme wasnt
I have a lot of experience training in different styles of both Karate and Aikido. I understand if David worked out with Mr. Freeman he was probably impressed. If you train enough with anyone in Aikido you will learn that it's almost impossible to get most of the techniques to work on someone like a boxer, kickboxer, Karateka, or anything like that. The techniques can definitely be effective on untrained or people who have little training. Segal would not be putting Van Damme in joint locks like he said. Segal would have to rely more heavily on his Goju and whatever else he's trained in. I think Van Damme would take Segal but you never know. Segal trained in more than just Aikido and Aikido does help when trained in other arts. Michael Jai White has fought in knockdown tournaments also so he does know about people trying to knock him out. His main style is Kyokushin. If you trained in Kyokushin and fought in knockdown tournaments then you know
Stallone has an interview on RUclips where he says atleast the part at his house was true and that Segal wanted no part of JCVD. Stallone said he would win because he's way too strong for Segal. I always loved all their movies so idk why so many hate on Segal.
People don't like Seagal because of his...er...preference for under aged females. And self aggrandising behaviour. And constant stream of BS.... there's many reasons to dislike the guy. Unfortunately people that are/were fans of his movies, and fans of the man himself, don't like to look at that side of him and will take a biased view rather than deal with reality.
Put my money on Jean-Claude Van Damme
MJW is in the world of his own 🙂
That would have been an awesome flight to watch in their prime, but current day Seagal wouldn't have the cardio to last in a fight that wasn't ended right away.
Haha this is the never ending debate, I would vote for Van Damme BUT doesn't mean Seagal can't win. In my opinion the most important thing is the mindset, the warrior spirit, and I'm pretty sure Seagal's got it. Someone who spars usually has the advantage however, being unpredictable is very very dangerous. So there's no definite answer to this kind of "Who will win" type of question, yeah X can beat Y but, could X beat Y in 10 out of 10 fights?
"Steven sagaul is like a nuclear bomb" and " It's better if he didn't fight anyone"? 😂
You were channeling Napoleon dynamite right there.
I like both Actors. But i think Seagal could beat van Damme. Seagal is a master in his art plus Aikido has deadly moves.
If Steven can do what he claims to do then he would beat Van Damm in a street fight.
MjW is becoming so full of shit, he might be Segal's protege. I remember when V S interviewed him an mjw back tracked his comments
I heard that story WAY before Expendables ever came out. Im talking at least 10yrs before.

He didn't? I have seen a few videos of him fighting in a KyoKushin tournament and he has talked about his KyoKushin training at length. Am I missing something? Did White pull a fast one on me?
@@RevDrCCoonansr Nope. The original comment above is a Viking Samurai stan, and one thing about these dorks is they'll disrespect anybody who criticizes their lord and savior Seagal.
It’s like my step father who was a bad ass street fight told me. Never be worried about fighting a big guy. Be concerned about a little guy that wants to fight you. As big guys scare and intimidate where shorter guys have to fight. As a young guy I had many fight it was never the big guys that that where the best fighter. Also he thought me to fight as a child. Then I learned do martial arts for years that I was thought martial arts by him.
Shorter guys get a reputation and get challenged all the time. Big guys not so much.
Seagal's training, especially combined with his size, looks excellent for taking down untrained thugs. He probably was one of the toughest guys in the street when he taught in Japan. But athletic, trained strikers are a different kettle of fish. They're not going to stand around and let you grab them or do anything to them. They're just going to hit you at lightning speed. And a lot of them know how to grapple, too (e.g. the MMA and Muay Thai guys).
Van Damme would win 40 years ago..and today..He fights, defends, stronger physique, more agile.. This is all speculation on my part though.

Obviously he's 70 years old now and some of his newer movies are silly, but the guy was about as elite as a martial artist could get. It's silly for guys like Michael to say a normal guy like vlad could beat Seagal. Personally if this whole fight story is true and Seagal ducked him, it was probably so he didn't break any of Van Damnes limbs and get sued destroying his acting career lmao. Keep up the good work!
Elite as you can get is a stretch. He has a black belt in one form where he married his teachers daughter to run the school. There are plenty of people way more elite then he is. Just even look at some of the martial artists who have competed in mma like Lyoto Machida, the Gracies, or countless others. It's fine to be a fan of Seagal but he's got plenty of short comings and some accolades, no need to blow him up into something he's not, it's as crazy as the people who idolize Bruce Lee to the point people think he's a martial arts god.
LMAOI!!!! He thinks Vlad could beat Seagal.....I'm still laughing as I type this...
Utterly ridiculous.. that just tells me he is too biased against Seagal and threw logic and common sense out the window!
@@VikingSamuraiAgreed!
Even 60 year old mike tyson beat Prime seagal in under 10 seconds
Dude Steven is a fake fighter hes an actor have u seen this guuy tryna teach Ufc fighters moves? its straight up bullshit fake movie moves
Then he says but jcvd is not a fighter lmao mjw keeps getting more delusional by the day
Even Bruce Lee doesn't need to fight! It was just enough to see his body and some ultra speed punch and kicks.
Then you know that he can fight and kick many ass*s. Seagal is good just in Aikido on short range. Van Damme would crush his head with long distance kicks. And look at Van Damme body (in ''90 and now)! Seagal had just an ordinary body!
100% Van Damme wins anytime, anyhow!
Cool to see a reaction video to some of the things these people say. I think Steven Seagal gets a bad rap because he doesn't do all the fancy kicking and his weight gain but being able to do all those kicks doesn't mean he can't fight and his techniques are more for real life situations, not to just show off ability.
Listen … skill set means nothing. When I was younger got in a lot of trouble… fights etc. Guy who’s supposed be a 8th Dan taekwondo guy and long story short because I had a lot more street fights I destroyed this guy to put it mildly. Not a keyboard warrior or nothing like that. Sorry but I’m not giving ANYONE my hand for a wrist lock or anything like that. Van Dam would smoke him. Can’t train for getting punched hard in the face and smiling while getting mad and going after him. Sorry dude … Steve has no chance against a lot of people. Belts are only good for holding up your pants if the fight is not in you.
I bet on my boy Van damme, he have imressive kicks, and a good kick over the fight. Excelent intervew.
I still like Michael Jai White
No social media or camera phones thats why.
I agree with you viking. Too many people think that if you didnt compete then your not a fighter BUT the reality is real fighting is on the street outside the gym or dojo. With no referee and no rules to abide by. Its the same disrespect shown to bruce lee. Too many people say oh cos he didnt do point stop karate like chuck norris then he wasnt a fighter well not being funny i trained under the PKA And kickboxed and coached. And i will say point stop karate is a world away from real fighting but they just love to call themselves fighters. None of us know if steven had to get dirty in the street ? its ignorance showing itself again im afraid. Even mj has only competed in point karate and he supposedly works out with afew mma guys but what i saw they were simply tapping eachother again just play stuff so yeah has mj even had an aggressive guy trying to knock him out too ? Probably not. Its all ego. Mj is a good martial artist but as a bonifide fighter i believe he just talks the talk. Arrogant. Mj is a legend in his own mind.
11:06 im sure Van Damn and Seagal can defend themselves if need be, but if they should face of i think the person who spars under pressure would have the advantage.
