In this new video, join us as we follow around a duo of Maroon and Gold EMD GP11 locomotives on the Ohio Central! We catch them at many places in the greater Youngstown area, including Brier Hill, Austintown, and Ohio Junction. Also seen are some CSX and Norfolk Southern action. These two engines, OHCR 8712 and POHC 8702, are among the 88 listed on the EPA's scrap list, which you can learn more about here: www.justice.go...

Yeah… conductor wasn’t too happy we were filming but the engineer was trying to calm him down lol
@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 they got some bad ones. I got the finger by one engineer there. Another crew was pretty cool though, the conductor came over and chatted for a few.

I’m wondering too, I think it’s usually in late July early August
We haven’t had any meetups since the one in 2021. Not sure when the next one will be, but life’s been pretty busy for me and It’ll only keep getting busier. I’ll let you guys know if we plan another one.

That would a real shame to scrap these vintage locomotives ! I'm sure there's a short line out there that could use them...
Hopefully send em down here to Jersey for us on the Bel-Del. They could definitely be a good replacement for our number 1856, now out of service.
