@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 That's basically what I've heard. (Hopefully I don't get myself in trouble for saying this) It's less that they won't be overhauling any more locomotives, and more that they aren't (at the moment) planning on making any more PTC locomotives. There are still locomotives getting work done, but most of them will be remote installs/upgrades. Don't hold me to this (I'm not in charge of these decisions) but I think the next locomotive due for an overhaul is the 2662.
Great video. I've always wondered where they load the coke hoppers, and I bet their picked up in Mingo, so they would probably be loaded in that area, but idk, anyhow, keep up the great work

I meant to say 6348… Somehow that slipped past me in editing… sorry!
Awesome catches
Great video, I always enjoy your Wheeling and Lake Erie videos.
Fun fact about that 6348, it's currently the last locomotive on the Wheeling roster that still sports the EMD leasing scheme.
If I had to guess they’ll probably repaint it at some point. 6314 was just repainted and renumbered into 7026 W&LE/OLS not too long ago.
@jeffstrains that 7026 hasn't even seen the mainline yet.
That said, I don't think the 6348 is next on the chopping block for an overhaul.
To my understanding the rebuild/repaint program will go on a temporary halt now that 7026 is completed, so 6348 should be safe for a while lol.

Funny I mentioned the 2662 possibly being next because it's at the dock. Probably waiting for the yard to take it to where it's gonna be rebuilt.

7:10 I assume this was all recorded this year? I didn't know the Wheeling was moving Coke again.
Yes, this was recorded this year. And to my knowledge, wheeling never stopped running the coke trains.
