I'm an Expat living in Colombia I spend the best 20 years of my life with Yachts In Waikawa. Marina. ... That's more than 10 years ago !!! Thanks for the look around et al!!
You'll probably be missing home I would imagine, from time to time, thanks for watching, hoping to get some more interesting ones up when I get this work completed, stay safe over there
enjoying the journey, feeling the same frustrations we go through, in this money pit hobby of ours, on a positive note, looking forward to seeing you on a good days fishing adventure.
Thanks, really nice to hear from fellow boaties they have also experienced the same frustrations. I am keeping a positive mindset and holding out for the future...nothing around boats is cheap...as we all know, mention marine and the price jumps 100%😆
Gardner 2UC and the bigger 3UC will accept full power in reverse and ahead. Many moons ago part of a sea trial was to be going full ahead and then perform a crash stop by going into full reverse. Glad you are keeping all the parts. The mainshaft clutchpack and reduction gears are the most valuable. And being imperial bearings they are wirth their weight in gold.
Thanks, they are great chunks of steel I was really impressed they got it all out and even managed to get bolts undone, someone had completed some work in the reduction box and not done up a nut or bolt properly that was apparently rattling around causing damage. Luckily I managed to purchase a another complete set-up and this was in great nick apparently, I am going to look after this engine and gearbox-reduction box like a baby from here out..
I have never seen a great-white in the water I guess mine is a more irrational fear about what I can't see, I'm not a great swimmer and if I can't see the bottom-forget it!!!, watched too many Jaws movies😄😆
Hi Mike, I love the video. I was just wondering what did they do to the front with the anchor rail with the big gap in the boat was it like that when you brought it.
HI, thanks for watching, that was where I opted to remove the anchor and anchor capstan to reduce the length of the boat.8 of a metre. The marina were upset that the boat was 12.8 metres overall in a 12m berth. I have been there for a number of months at that time, a previous episode "I'm too big" covers this in detail....anyhow probably was, in hindsight the way I had her tied up the boat's stern was overhanging the end of the pontoon and I think that drew the attention of the Marina staff. I opted to remove the anchor and capstan to reduce the length and I also have some remedial work I need to do in that area so a good excuse to do so, the capstan was not original and water had entered the grain-ends of the ply
Great to watch your walk around the area .I have a good friend who i have not seen for many years that lives in Waikawa just down the road
Thanks, been struggling for a bit of footage to keep these interesting but some more coming soon

I have a fear of sharks as well. I've seen some really big great whites out fishing with dad.
