This narrow gauge railroad runs on a loop line that was formerly used by the Colorado & Southern Railroad back in 1884. It’s quite impressive. The Georgetown Loop Railroad has some cool narrow gauge equipment from a variety of narrow gauge railroads. Such as their two now currently operating steam locomotives, Georgetown Loop #40 (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1920, originally used for the International Railways of Central America and then the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad at Alaska, United States) and Georgetown Loop Railroad 111 (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1926, also originally used for the International Railways of Central America).
Thank you for this video - My daughter and I went for the day and followed most of your suggestions. Your video helped us make the best of the day and we had a really good time!
Nice to see an up-to-date Georgetown. My family lived there in the mid 60's. We lived in part of the Hamill House - long before it was fixed up an turned into a museum. I used to play in the solarium when it was pretty much a ruin. I went to kindergarten, first, and second grade there. I have an aunt that still lives in Georgetown and has been there for 65 years.
I want to leave this here. I am planning to propose to my girlfriend, and you have sold me on the location with his video. Thank you for what you do. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for this video. I live in Denver, but have never really visited Georgetown. I will be headed there this weekend, and looked up video's on it and stumbled across yours! I already made reservation to Cooper's on the Creek for Saturday! My sister is visiting and we will be staying at Lawsons Adventure Park. Thanks again for all the wonderful recommendations!
