1) Garden of the Gods. Early in the morning is best not only for parking and less crowd, but the sunlight from the east makes it more spectacular than mid-day or evening.
2) Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. A great zoo with a strenuous walk as it has a lot of elevation change, being on the side of a mountain.
3) USAFA. Scenic, patriotic, historic, cool stuff.
4) Cave of the Winds. Have to see it to believe it, no regrets.
5) Old Colorado City. The video says it.
6) Palmer Park. Hiking, scenic view
7) Shhhhh, don't tell anyone but Ute Valley Park is my actual #3. Quiet, beautiful, hardly anyone knows about it - till now. It was my childhood playground.
8) Lots of other things to see and do to. That is why it is such a popular tourist attraction.
for the adventurous and physically fit, you can also hike the Barr Trail to the top of Pike's Peak. It's an amazing hike but will take all day for the average person.
We live in Colorado Springs now. That was a lot for one day! I can't imagine how tired you guys were, when you finally settled down.
We totally used this video as inspiration during our recent visit! We took the cog up Pikes Peak, which was fun but the time at the top is very short - under an hour, which is a rush if you want to see everything. The shuttle system at Seven Falls was a total mess for us as well - there are so many pretty places in town, skip the Falls and hike an open space like Red Rock Canyon.
Wonderful! So glad you made it to Colorado Springs! Yes, there is soo much to do there and so much to see!
Pikes Peak looks beautiful!
Very informative video! Thank you so much for sharing. This is extremely helpful. I’m going next month to Denver and Colorado Springs 🤗 Greetings from Miami
Thanks for the video 💗💗💗
Great info, thank you so much!!!
My wife and I will be going to Colorado Springs in August for our wedding anniversary! I’m very exited thank you for the video it was very well done 😊
Wonderful place to visit
Best video I’ve seen for this city. Can’t wait to visit.
Love your channel. Very informative
We're going in June and I'm glad to have this info! Thanks 😊
Beautiful scenery, me and my family are moving there from Georgia in March 2023!
Wonderful! Congratulations! Youll love it here in Colorado! Happy moving!!
Great video and very informative
Very cool video thank you totally missed out on mesa Verde 😭 next year it's on happy travels
Our son lives in Colo Spgs and we’ve done all these things, even the airplane restaurant. Also exploring Old Colorado City (where Jives is located) is worthwhile. Lots of great shops! Downtown Manitou Springs is great too, more shopping. There are many fun places to go in the area: Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, Royal Gorge Railway, Pioneer Museum, Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, and many more. We love this town!
Great video! Super informative. That road to Pikes Peak is intimidating! It literally takes your breath away! I like the cog railway better :)
Love the Videos! love the fast talking and tiny cute accent🙂
“Best meal I’ve probably had on a plane” Good one😁 Appreciate the tips like parking and shuttles.
i was there end of may and it was so fun. did 5 days in a row hiking garden of the gods, cliff dwellings, 7 falls, pikes peak highway and the cog, the incline up and down and the caverns. so much fun there. cant wait to go back one day.
Awesome! Yes there's so much to do! Glad you had fun!!
Will be visiting here
That was a really full day!
Estos lugares se ven hermosos!!!
Wrong language bean dip…
We probably just missed you in the Springs. We went to Garden of the Gods on June 12 and up to Pike's Peak on June 13. My daughter seen as rattle snake as well at the garden, might have been you guys that warned them about it! Great videos! We used to some of your videos as research to see different things on our two week stay in Colorado.
Yes! We were there June 10th! Couldn't believe we saw a rattlesnake. Thanks so much for watching my vlogs, glad you find them helpful! 😊
He's so friendly
Thank you
I'm hoping to go to Colorado next month, I really appreciate your videos 🥰
Have an great time! 👍 thanks for watching!
I've just returned from Colorado, November/December 2022, my first ever, and it is so beautiful there. I went to Pikes Peak, via the Cog train and agree with @magdela, the time at the top is hideously short, around 45 minutes, so after you've been to bathroom, the restaurant, the gift shop, you have a tiny amount of time to take pictures and enjoy the view/summit.... Also, the summit restaurant had hardly anything to choose (last train on a Saturday). Great, great travel guide, I didn't do a lot of the things you mention, but I am returning in 2023, so will do them all then :) (PS - lived a mile from the Kissing Camels :) ).
Garden Of The Gods is best at sunrise, but worth the visit anytime. If you like hiking, early or later in the day avoids the midday heat and intense sun. Sunglasses and sunscreen are a must.
For nighttime, the hour drive up to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will reward you with dark skies that reveal the beautiful starscape that city and suburban lights all but blot out. FYI, it will be cool there after sunset, so be prepared. Telescopes or binoculars are nice, but so is just taking in the panorama of thousands of stars.
Yes 🙌 agreed! Great tips!
I’ve been waiting for this video! Going this summer!
Have an amazing time!!
Omg im moving there on august!:D

Welcome .
I’m on a road trip with my best friend from California, tomorrow we are headed to springs, I worked in Colorado Springs back in 1998 upgrading the cable Tv system and visited some spots but it’s been almost 25 years since then, I’m so excited to see these places again thanks for the great video.
Awesome! Have an amazing time back in CO Springs! Thanks for watching!
@@JeanieMarie thank you so much we decided to visit manitou springs, I don’t remember that site plus yesterday was my 47th birthday and I am on week 7 of my hip replacement 😂, thank god I’m on disability I sure ran my body to the ground working construction but don’t tell my company or they will want me back ASAP !!!
Aw!! If you went to Seven Falls at night you would have witnessed the Falls lit up with colors! Def check it out next time you visit The Springs!
Yes, correct! That would be pretty to see.
Please posted more videos in denver and the best places there thank you for your videos.
Thanks for watching!!
Don't forget to hike the Incline if you are a fitness person!
I’ve been to Colorado, Denver twice and loved it. Haven’t had the chance to go hike and explorer other cities of Colorado. Your videos are so helpful and love your personality. I can’t wait to visit Colorado Springs hopefully before winter starts.
Hope you can make it! So much to do and see! Thanks for watching!
I live here and I’m from mn! Love your channel 😍
Awesome! Another fellow Minnesotan! Hello!! So glad you found me! Thanks so much for watching!!
Youre fine as a frog hair.
I had a cousin that lived here from the time she was about 7 or 8 to 15 or so. Her mom lived there. She moved back to texas with her dad for 2 years and tried to get me to move with her when she went back at 17 or so. I should have but i was with my first live in girlfriend at the time 😂. I wasnt going anywhere lol
I went to Colorado springs June 30th and stayed at the Glen Eyrie Castle
Nice choice!
Going in a few months
Question: are dogs allowed at Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, and Pikes peak drive??
We’re visiting Colorado Springs right now with the kids and I can hardly wait to surprise my husband with the Airplane restaurant tomorrow! He’s totally going to love it...Thanks for spotlighting that!
I do have a question about the drive to Pike’s Peak...is it a really windy, curvy drive? The map makes it look there are tons of twists and turns. Some of us are prone to motion sickness so I’m not sure if we want to make that trip. Thanks for your video on Cañon City too 👍🏻
Have such an amazing time! The restaurant will be. Great surprise!! Yes, the road is pretty curvy ... your climbing to over 14000ft of elevation so lots of switchbacks to get to the top. Enjoy!!!
Thank you so much for the helpful information! We were planning to visit Colorado Springs in March. Do you recommend having a car or is everything accessible with the public transportation? Thank you!
Hi! Great video! Can't wait to visit! I was wonder if the end of december is good time to visit? My fiance and I are thinking of going for our honeymoon. Thanks!
Yes, temps will be cool and you may see some snow, but you can go in winter. Pikes peak may be closed due to snow.
@@JeanieMarie Awesome! Thanks 😊

Hi Jeanie, lovely vid, is it safe for a single woman to travel alone in Colorado? Thanks.
Lol I drive a standard, my brakes were 47 degrees at the bottom 😂
I wish you mentioned some prices how much does things cost and food
do you suggest this places for infant and 3 yrs old?
I will be in COs in 2 weeks. Thank you for sharing this video. What day did you guys go?
Have a great time! We were there June 10!
It looks not so crazy on a friday and you had the whole airplane restaurant 😊
Hi there! What is the park/mtn in 0:14 in your intro?! It looks beautiful!
That's Mesa Overlook with Garden of the Gods in the background!
@@JeanieMarie Thank you (: what about at 0:12? (haha that is what I meant to ask)
You did all that in a day? we might be able to visit 2 for a day since we have kids lol thank you for the video by the way.
We did! Totally understand with kids it would take more time.
@@JeanieMarie I Subscribed. will be there next week😊🥰
@@persona5305 Have fun and thanks for the sub!
I love your videos. What time did you start this day trip??
Thank you! Probably around 8ish in the morning.
@@JeanieMarie awesome! And for the airplane restaurant did you request to eat in the actual airplane part? How did it work?
@Carolina de Castro Yes, when we walked in we just asked to sit in the plane.
@@JeanieMarie ok awesome! Thanks for the info(: we’re headed there tomorrow so it helps a bunch!!
You look so good just flawless but what I wanna ask this Place looks safer then most Cities I've been too asides from agressive Animals but how cheap is the Housing in these Spots
What month did you visit colorado spring?
Ahhhh man, the ghetto citadel mall didn’t make the cut lol 🤣
Jk, Great video!!! 😀🙌
😅 nope, no shopping malla for us.
Just a reminder to please drive responsibly while going up Pike's Peak. Sure, they actually hold a race here and some people love to speed up the road but stay within the speed limit because 1- Animals also live here. There are elk, big horn sheep and of course deer. 2- This road is obviously filled with tourist, many who are distracted by the natural beauty of the drive or are petrified and driving over the median.
As a side caution- If all you've ever driven is automatic and your idea of slowing down is limited to the brake pedal. Please familiarize yourself with lowering your gears and allowing your engine to slow you down when heading back down.
I've driven Pike's Peak, Skyline Drive, RMNP Trail Ridge road and Independence Pass. For me Trail Ridge was the worst simply because that had the most traffic and large RV's and I distrust inexperienced people driving their large rental RV. But so long as you're not really afraid of heights you should be fine on any of them (assuming you're not driving an RV which may have size restrictions...Trail Ridge does not).
Gracias a este video me enteré que había que comprar time ticket entry y lo pude resolver a tiempo. Estaré por allá en junio7 y solo había reservado el de las montañas rocosas. Ya vi todos tus videos de Colorado, estan excelentes.
Do you recommend visiting these places during late October/ early November? Would snow be a problem?
When Pikes Peak starts getting snow, it closes. So that would be an issue as we are already seeing snow in the mountains. But everything else should be open.
I have just returned from Colorado (my trip was mid-November - early December) - the weather was amazing, clear blue skies nearly every day of my two weeks. Went up to the top of Pikes Peak via the Cog Train. Highly recommended :) Will go again in warmer times for sure, but my time there wasn't hindered at all by the weather. Only once did it snow, but often the snow just melts by the afternoon :)
do you have to visit the places in that order?? we need a doable itinerary.
Absolutely not! That's just how we did it - in that order... you can customize and change it however you want. Enjoy!
I’m moving to colorado I hate texas lol I’m moving in august or July!
Lucky!!! Me and my wife spent our honeymoon there last year and we freaking loved it!! I wanna move there too but she refuses 🤣🤣 It's waaay too hot here in Texas!!
@@Flashkick2urFace Yeaa😂
Hi , How do we contact you to talk about booking a trip
I don't booked trips to CO 😄 I just vlog about CO!
So for Aug. 12, 2045, what is thee spot to be at with family in your opinion in Colorado Springs?
I'm not a fan of snakes and hikes. What are other things to do?
Why is your video mirrored?
Another great video Jeanie Marie!🤗 I lived in The Springs from August 1974 to February 1976, first in Vista Grande then Cragmor. Following that, it was back to Denver for a year & a half. Colorado was a fantastically fun, friendly & AFFORDABLE place to live way back then. Not so much anymore. By the way, as much as I love your travel adventures & video presentations, I'm still not a fan of "the flop effect" where you rotate the video frame 180 about the Y-axis resulting in a mirror image perspective. Just sayin' but I fully respect your 1st amendment right to post produce your creations anyway you see fit.😉👍
You didn't even go to the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo
We don't support zoos 😥
better stay out of the sun

Seems like a lovely place, what would you say are the pros and cons of living in Colorado springs ?
When I see nose rings I think "a pirate's life is a wonderful life" 🦜
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
