1) Garden of the Gods. Early in the morning is best not only for parking and less crowd, but the sunlight from the east makes it more spectacular than mid-day or evening. 2) Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. A great zoo with a strenuous walk as it has a lot of elevation change, being on the side of a mountain. 3) USAFA. Scenic, patriotic, historic, cool stuff. 4) Cave of the Winds. Have to see it to believe it, no regrets. 5) Old Colorado City. The video says it. 6) Palmer Park. Hiking, scenic view 7) Shhhhh, don't tell anyone but Ute Valley Park is my actual #3. Quiet, beautiful, hardly anyone knows about it - till now. It was my childhood playground. 8) Lots of other things to see and do to. That is why it is such a popular tourist attraction.
We totally used this video as inspiration during our recent visit! We took the cog up Pikes Peak, which was fun but the time at the top is very short - under an hour, which is a rush if you want to see everything. The shuttle system at Seven Falls was a total mess for us as well - there are so many pretty places in town, skip the Falls and hike an open space like Red Rock Canyon.
You can't stay at the top for too long because the oxygen is so low! I went with my daughter on a trip and by the time I got my "got oxygen" shirt n got pics with the sign eyc I legit felt dizzy lile I was walking sideways by the time we got back on the train!
i was there end of may and it was so fun. did 5 days in a row hiking garden of the gods, cliff dwellings, 7 falls, pikes peak highway and the cog, the incline up and down and the caverns. so much fun there. cant wait to go back one day.
Colorado resident here. I love the Colorado Springs area It has been a long time since I was up Pikes Peak, back then it was still a lot of dirt road which did add a little excitement.
Our son lives in Colo Spgs and we’ve done all these things, even the airplane restaurant. Also exploring Old Colorado City (where Jives is located) is worthwhile. Lots of great shops! Downtown Manitou Springs is great too, more shopping. There are many fun places to go in the area: Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, Royal Gorge Railway, Pioneer Museum, Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, and many more. We love this town!
I’m on a road trip with my best friend from California, tomorrow we are headed to springs, I worked in Colorado Springs back in 1998 upgrading the cable Tv system and visited some spots but it’s been almost 25 years since then, I’m so excited to see these places again thanks for the great video.

Very informative video! Thank you so much for sharing. This is extremely helpful. I’m going next month to Denver and Colorado Springs 🤗 Greetings from Miami
I've just returned from Colorado, November/December 2022, my first ever, and it is so beautiful there. I went to Pikes Peak, via the Cog train and agree with @magdela, the time at the top is hideously short, around 45 minutes, so after you've been to bathroom, the restaurant, the gift shop, you have a tiny amount of time to take pictures and enjoy the view/summit.... Also, the summit restaurant had hardly anything to choose (last train on a Saturday). Great, great travel guide, I didn't do a lot of the things you mention, but I am returning in 2023, so will do them all then :) (PS - lived a mile from the Kissing Camels :) ).
We probably just missed you in the Springs. We went to Garden of the Gods on June 12 and up to Pike's Peak on June 13. My daughter seen as rattle snake as well at the garden, might have been you guys that warned them about it! Great videos! We used to some of your videos as research to see different things on our two week stay in Colorado.
I’ve been to Colorado, Denver twice and loved it. Haven’t had the chance to go hike and explorer other cities of Colorado. Your videos are so helpful and love your personality. I can’t wait to visit Colorado Springs hopefully before winter starts.
for the adventurous and physically fit, you can also hike the Barr Trail to the top of Pike's Peak. It's an amazing hike but will take all day for the average person.
Garden Of The Gods is best at sunrise, but worth the visit anytime. If you like hiking, early or later in the day avoids the midday heat and intense sun. Sunglasses and sunscreen are a must. For nighttime, the hour drive up to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will reward you with dark skies that reveal the beautiful starscape that city and suburban lights all but blot out. FYI, it will be cool there after sunset, so be prepared. Telescopes or binoculars are nice, but so is just taking in the panorama of thousands of stars.
@@GopzU_Anton Acclimate! Drink a lot of water. We rode side by sides up 39 mile mountain using rww rentals. They did say they're not doing it much longer so I'm not sure it'll be available. Helen Hunt falls was free and beautiful. We also loved the cave dwellings in Manitou Springs, they have a HUGE gift shop. We also rode the cog train up pikes peak but I highly recommend acclimating first. We stayed in a cabin with an absolutely beautiful view I can see if I can send a link for it if you'd like.
Hi! Great video! Can't wait to visit! I was wonder if the end of december is good time to visit? My fiance and I are thinking of going for our honeymoon. Thanks!
We’re visiting Colorado Springs right now with the kids and I can hardly wait to surprise my husband with the Airplane restaurant tomorrow! He’s totally going to love it...Thanks for spotlighting that! I do have a question about the drive to Pike’s Peak...is it a really windy, curvy drive? The map makes it look there are tons of twists and turns. Some of us are prone to motion sickness so I’m not sure if we want to make that trip. Thanks for your video on Cañon City too 👍🏻
Have such an amazing time! The restaurant will be. Great surprise!! Yes, the road is pretty curvy ... your climbing to over 14000ft of elevation so lots of switchbacks to get to the top. Enjoy!!!
Gracias a este video me enteré que había que comprar time ticket entry y lo pude resolver a tiempo. Estaré por allá en junio7 y solo había reservado el de las montañas rocosas. Ya vi todos tus videos de Colorado, estan excelentes.
Thank you so much for the helpful information! We were planning to visit Colorado Springs in March. Do you recommend having a car or is everything accessible with the public transportation? Thank you!

When Pikes Peak starts getting snow, it closes. So that would be an issue as we are already seeing snow in the mountains. But everything else should be open.
I have just returned from Colorado (my trip was mid-November - early December) - the weather was amazing, clear blue skies nearly every day of my two weeks. Went up to the top of Pikes Peak via the Cog Train. Highly recommended :) Will go again in warmer times for sure, but my time there wasn't hindered at all by the weather. Only once did it snow, but often the snow just melts by the afternoon :)
Lucky!!! Me and my wife spent our honeymoon there last year and we freaking loved it!! I wanna move there too but she refuses 🤣🤣 It's waaay too hot here in Texas!!
Just a reminder to please drive responsibly while going up Pike's Peak. Sure, they actually hold a race here and some people love to speed up the road but stay within the speed limit because 1- Animals also live here. There are elk, big horn sheep and of course deer. 2- This road is obviously filled with tourist, many who are distracted by the natural beauty of the drive or are petrified and driving over the median. As a side caution- If all you've ever driven is automatic and your idea of slowing down is limited to the brake pedal. Please familiarize yourself with lowering your gears and allowing your engine to slow you down when heading back down. I've driven Pike's Peak, Skyline Drive, RMNP Trail Ridge road and Independence Pass. For me Trail Ridge was the worst simply because that had the most traffic and large RV's and I distrust inexperienced people driving their large rental RV. But so long as you're not really afraid of heights you should be fine on any of them (assuming you're not driving an RV which may have size restrictions...Trail Ridge does not).

Ponting out each stop on a map would help those not familiar get familiar with where these places are around Colorado Springs.
