I live in Colorado Springs and you guys did a great job showing our beautiful hometown. I have done the Manitou Incline three times now and Jason is being very generous when he says it’s not that bad. Folks, it’s rough especially if you’re not used to the altitude. But, it’s still worth doing!
Yes, my family lived and lived there. My aunt did The Powerpuff race (women only). It was a driving race up and down Pikes Peak. Then they would all climb the Kissing Camel in The Garden Of The Gods and sign their names. I love to visit my family! It is soo beautiful there.
Also, it was back in the 40,s when the races were. The road was dirt and gravel. In the 70,s the roads were tiny. You would have to honk your horn at the curves to see if someone was coming from the other direction. It was still mostly rock roads.
Oh, it’s a beautiful place. My mother’s brother lived there. He was in the Air Force and just really tired there and stay there for the rest of his life pikes Peak. I remember going to all those places when I was younger. Now I get to see him all over again to you.
We are here now for the week and we brought our mini. She's very protective but very loving ❤️ so far we have been to pikes peak, North pole, train rides, royal gorge and she's been so good and allowed kids to pet her. People on here complaining, I'm grateful! Your channel helped us plan this trip so thank you!
I've lived here 20 years and am still taken aback by the beauty of it all. I'm glad y'all had a good time here. I bet the air got a little thin on the Incline huh Jason?
I live in Manitou and I think you did a great job capturing the essence of the area with these videos. Glad you got to come and see the sights. Loved the videos.
My husband and a friend & I did this same route back in the 70's....I had exterme aniexty going up Pikes Peak....never do that again, especially now that I'm 70, lol....but it was beautiful...
Glad you enjoyed your time in CO. Living here we are spoiled of the beauty the state has to offer. Sometimes I take for granted that I see a wonderful view of the peak on my way to work.
When you make your way to Oregon, you have to visit and spend some time at Crater Lake. It's one of those places that'll take your breath away and you'll never forget. Do check the current conditions page before hand though as the weekend storm has closed the main road to the building and overlook.
So glad you guys did this video for visiting Colorado Springs, I follow you guys on your cruises, I’m planning a future trip as well to Colorado Springs/ Denver. Unfortunately I have to go in plane as I live in South Florida and it’s too far of a road trip. I don’t own a camper neither. We will be Renting a car to go to all the exciting places Colorado has to offer. Thank you again for your video. Pepper is so adorable 🥰
Have been here many times with my cousins that live in Colorado. We also go to Estes Park. Love the many outdoor places to visit. Have fun on your trip.
I remember riding the train up the incline when it was running. It was so steep that you had to almost lie down in the seats when it started up the hill. They were angled for the hill😊
Wow!! Pepper is increasingly popular on the internet, she is quite a celebrity and a great companion traveling with you guys. beautiful place in Colorado.
Don’t be too hard on yourself Jason, you’re probably winded from the lack of oxygen at such a high altitude. I lived in COS from 1998-2009 and really miss the beautiful hiking.
Beautiful video, I loved everywhere you visited and shared with us. We just hiked in Rocky Mountain NP, stayed in Estes Park. It’s different hiking for sure than the mountains of the Carolinas where we live. Precious doggie!!
Thanks for the great vid.❤ Having so great memories, when seeing Seven Falls / Pikes Peak, 🏔walking all the stairs and trails before major surgery (knee protheses). Love, to see current pictures. So cool, how great Pepper is doing and see her having so much fun in snow. Give her a big hug. ❤🐶 Can't wait for next vid. ❤🚍
I live in the Springs area. We went up Pike's Peak once and I got out of the car at marker 16. I have a fear of heights but it was the "no guardrails" that got me. I could not go any further.
Your trip brings me back so many memories! Love the Springs! I have attempted to climb the trail over the stairs with a ministry, but I didn’t make the halfway mark in time, so sadly I had to climb back down. The cliff dwellings are just amazing and you have to make it to Mesa Verde when you get the chance. When I went as a kid, I was able to go into the dwellings and look inside. They are amazing! Try beautiful!
Started following you for cruise content (which I love), but the Ellie / US travel series is a fantastic change. Also love seeing Pepper and how you guys are bringing her along on all the travels.
Good afternoon. Our storm chaser friend that does different trips during non storm season and took us to Pikes Peak and got to go all the way to the top. I don't do good in any hilly or curved roadways so had to look away when we were going up just like when you were going up had to look away. It sure is a beautiful area to visit. Garden of God wow very interesting place. Would/was it mobility accessible if you had a chair of any kind? That would be an excellent adventure for us to do. Thanks for sharing and glad you enjoyed Colorado and it's very beautiful scenery. HAGD.
There are plenty of paths in the main garden that are paved and accessible. Most of the smaller trails would not be, but we didn’t do those either because of the pup.
I remember as a kid going to the top of Pike's Peak. While we were up there, a snow storm started. I was so scared sitting in the back seat while they were driving back down in a car and barely seeing the road😮.
Wow, what a cruise excursion. (g) One thing to remember about Colorado Springs is that the weather can easily change hourly. In one day in early June, I encountered snow falling at Pike's Peak, a rainstorm at the Air Force Academy and a hail storm at the Olympic Training Center.
Jason, I feel you brother about not having guard rails and climbing that mountain in the RV. I deal with vertigo, so there is no way I would have made it driving. You did good! It is beautiful there.
I’m so glad y’all got to go to Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls and Pikes Peak!! We’ve been several times to each and the last time we went to Seven Falls we got halfway up the stairs alongside the falls before my claustrophobia and fear of heights kicked in and Jody had to almost carry me down lol! Im so glad y’all had a great trip!!
Pepper is adorable! Good job Jason on the climb to the top of the incline! I did in 2005! There is so much to see and do in Colorado, if you come back make sure to try to go to a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater it’s amazing! I only live 10 miles from there! What will you do with Pepper if you go on the cruise?
That is such an amazing area. I’ve been there several times and I never heard of the incline - very cool. It’s a shame you didn’t get to do the cog train!
I drove that up one year in a rental car. It was freaky. Poor car was never the same. Good thing you didn't get up. Poor Ellie would not have made it. I had the gas petal on the floor and I could only get it to 20 mph. I took the train the next time. Much better!
Yeah the road to Pikes Peak is beautiful but a little scary. We went in July 2021 and in a jeep with the roof and doors off and it was so scary looking down the side of the road, down the mountain.
I was thinking of doing some traveling with my little puppy next year. Maybe you can do some videos and let us know how to travel with our pets and what state parks are pet friendly.
Wrong time of the year actually to visit still alot of snow in the high country. But as long as you stay on the front range you should be fine. Or go buy warm clothes and go anywhere you want.
Did you think of taking the Cog Railway @ Pikes Peak? Is it still running? Many years ago I was planning a tour through Colorado, and was amazed at the things to see in the Colorado Springs area. Are you heading to Cañon City and the Royal Gorge Bridge? I think that I was planning to head to Durango, where there's another train that I had been planning. SO, my guess is that the Royal Gorge Bridge is the next stop on your journey
Proud of you Jason! I enjoyed the cliff dwellings. Did you all hit the hot springs when you were there? Taste the water in Manitou Springs? 😄 Some of it tastes nasty 😂 If you get back there try the largest arcade with all the old games. Super fun.
No, if you got bad knees going down backwards it’s not as bad on your knees. I’ve got bad news and my mom taught me how to do that not it’s not that bad. You do it all the time.
Did you not carry any water? YIKES. Actually, going down those stairs backwards really is more "balance" friendly, downside for THOSE stairs is they didn't look consistent. Honestly the path your took, while longer, would be more balance friendly in that situation. IMHO.
You got an Aussie? Wow! My daughter has one, they are not good travelers, very protective, can’t take them to places with lots of people. They are herding dogs and they will protect your family.
I live in Colorado Springs and you guys did a great job showing our beautiful hometown. I have done the Manitou Incline three times now and Jason is being very generous when he says it’s not that bad. Folks, it’s rough especially if you’re not used to the altitude. But, it’s still worth doing!
lol it’s kinda cool watching people travel and visit a city you live in

Garden of the God's is so beautiful and interesting! A great family trip!!
Love your video's, always a nice mix of views, shopping and food! Pepper is a doll and a great addition to your family!!!
Hi Alisa, Jason and Pepper!
We loved this video 🏔️ ❤
Pepper is adorable 🥰🐶
We are here now for the week and we brought our mini. My son lives in Colorado Springs. We are planning a trip out. Love Pepper. Aussies are a great breed. Enjoy her. ❤ Love your content.
I've lived here 20 years and am still taken aback by the beauty of it all. I'm glad y'all had a good time here. I bet the air got a little thin on the Incline huh Jason?

Wow very good looking dog but diffinitly lots of work and restrictions i would so not do that but glad you seem to injoy travelling with her
Glad you enjoyed your time in CO. Living here we are spoiled of the beauty the state has to offer. Sometimes I take for granted that I see a wonderful view of the peak on my way to work.
It is incredible! We live in flat and boring Louisiana so Colorado was a very nice change for us.
When you make your way to Oregon, you have to visit and spend some time at Crater Lake. It's one of those places that'll take your breath away and you'll never forget.

Thank you for doing this. I forgot how beautiful it was.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Need to watch the Pikes Peak Hillclimb...cars racing up the mt as fast as you can
Margo's has the best dogs in the city!!!
She's awesome, too❤😊
Have been here many times with my cousins that live in Colorado. We also go to Estes Park. Love the many outdoor places to visit. Have fun on your trip.

Pepper, I believe, is a “she “…
So impressive that Jason did the incline 👏👏 Most locals cannot do it. Glad you enjoyed your time in our beautiful state
What are you talking about cold. 35 in Colorado Springs is shorts and flip flops weather, lol. It's great!
Hey that’s cold in Louisiana!!
Thank you for sharing your lives with us, and letting us watch your fun and hiking.
Don’t be too hard on yourself Jason, you’re probably winded from the lack of oxygen at such a high altitude. I lived in COS from 1998-2009 and really miss the beautiful hiking.

We went the first week of June one year and there was snow everywhere. The hotdog place uses Vienna hotdogs. It is on their sign.
Can't wait for next vid. ❤🚍
So beautiful!!!! It's been years since I've been there I wanna go back

Aww Pepper is just adorable 🥰 wow that was some Trail 😮 but the Views 😍 were amazing ❤.
Have a Good week 🥰Safe Travels 🥰
How beautiful
Pepper is adorable! My parents Aussie just loves to lay in the snow during the winter.❤🐶
The hotdogs are Vienna Beef. The sign out front clearly states this.

I love Co.! Awesome hike Jason!! Congratulations!! Your puppy is the cutest! Dogs are the best! ❤❤❤

Excited for this van series!
I remember as a kid going to the top of Pike's Peak. While we were up there, a snow storm started. I was so scared sitting in the back seat while they were driving back down in a car and barely seeing the road😮.
Oh wow! That sounds scary!!
Love watching the adventures of Pepper. We are always looking for ideas of where we can take our dogs to.
I have a trip coming up in June to Colorado Springs, hopefully everything goes well im so excited.
Have fun!
Incline nice easy especially after the false summit
Love Pepper. So cute.

You can get doggie back packs and strollers
Beautiful views

welcome to co sp. it is nice but the weather is tricky lol
Pepper is so cute!! Thankyou for showing this content and enjoy your travels!!
Thanks for watching!
Love your pup it's a new travel life ! We took our dog everywhere! Beautiful area
Wonderful video! Your Travato’s floor plan is great. What is the model# again? Thanks.
We love it!! It is the 59K floor plan.
Pepper is adorable! You need a puppy backpack for when she gets pooped, you can carry her!👍
We are going to try to find a good backpack
Way to go on that climb Jason!
I was thinking of doing some traveling with my little puppy next year. Maybe you can do some videos and let us know how to travel with our pets and what state parks are pet friendly.

Yeah she’s a cutie!

SO, my guess is that the Royal Gorge Bridge is the next stop on your journey
You guys should drive all of Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica!!! It's so much fun!!!
We absolutely plan to one day!!
Great tript, the road looks better than Mt. Washington. A white nickles drive.
So many trees there compared to what it used to be.... 😊
How was driving the edge? I hate the edge!! Looks like a pretty 🐕 friendly area. Kudos on the stair climb....Happy Trails 🐕
If you’re still in the area, Four by Brother Luck has a great tasting menu. He was a contestant on Top Chef.
I miss living out there!
That’s so wild…I was just there last week!!!
Proud of you Jason! I enjoyed the cliff dwellings. Did you all hit the hot springs when you were there? Taste the water in Manitou Springs? 😄 Some of it tastes nasty 😂 If you get back there try the largest arcade with all the old games. Super fun.
Maybe you mentioned this but I must have missed it, wondering what month you were visiting this area?
EECC Travels starring…….Pepper! She’s adorable.
Good Job! By the way it's safer to go down steep stairs facing them than the normal way.
It is not recommended to go down these stairs. There is a much safer path down as Jason took.
@@EECCTravels I would have gone down the trail myself. But that's why people go down stairs "backwards".
You need a puppy stroller!🤣🤣🤣
I was going to suggest that
Hopefully yall can get that puppy a harness instead of tugging on a collar around its throat. Thanks for sharing this was gorgeous!
We have one but she is getting used to it.
I love Chicago style hotdogs
Pepper needs to come visit me in Sedona.
My Aussie, Dundee, looks just like Pepper. 🐾
What kind of van do you have? Is there a video related?
It is a Winnebago Travato 59K. If you search our channel there are several videos about the van.
Great video ❤❤❤❤
You should get a dog stroller for Pepper
No, if you got bad knees going down backwards it’s not as bad on your knees. I’ve got bad news and my mom taught me how to do that not it’s not that bad. You do it all the time.
Great content 😢
Pepper is soon cute.
You can get t-shirts up there that say real women don't need guard rails😅
Now we know why the rocks are red
It’s always fun to see things thru the eyes of Louisianans.
Nope
Did you not carry any water? YIKES. Actually, going down those stairs backwards really is more "balance" friendly, downside for THOSE stairs is they didn't look consistent. Honestly the path your took, while longer, would be more balance friendly in that situation. IMHO.
Clark Angela Young Linda Miller William
You want fun? Drive from Ourey to Durango. Now that's some drop offs!
its manitooo (two, to, too) not manitah
It's pronounced Mani-TWO incline.
Honestly nobody from Colorado goes there. It's a tourist trap. Way better places to go than around Colorado Springs!!!!!!
Name the places
Too Much talking about Pepper.
You got an Aussie? Wow! My daughter has one, they are not good travelers, very protective, can’t take them to places with lots of people. They are herding dogs and they will protect your family.
She is so adorable 🥰
Who does the music? I wanna hear more!
