I’m thankful for CCs like Tectone and Hero Hei for exposing the stupidity and hypocrisy of so many in the Genshin community. The fact that these stans are hating on GachaSmack for giving legitimate criticism of the game really demonstrates their level of intelligence.
I find it stupid that the community views people like Tectone and Hero Hei as devils or something like that.
It's the same reasons why Teccy and mtashed are hated by the GI community
@@kuvjason7236 what’s even worse is that we have Genshin CCs essentially blackmailing and threatening other CCs who recently did collabs with Tectone. Any CC that interacts with Tectone will end up losing all sponsorships and benefits.

@@HardymanK It hasn't been too constant as tectone has been more focused on HSR and why do you feel the need to misdirect the complaints people have with the game to the "farming drama" bs. Like if you're apart of the MiHoyo cult just say so. Might as well be proud about it. We have seen over the past few years what the player base is like and what some of them creators are like in reagrds this game and yet you still say that they are farming nothing. You're coping pretty hard.
Personally, I think that every fandom of anything has the normal fans and the fans that take things too far. It’s all just all based on odds with what does and does not come to light. I think every fandom should take this message to heart, but I know every fandom has those two sides. It’s just the fans that tend to take things too far that need to heed this message. I don’t really know how to put it.
If this is a problem with every fandom why is the Genshin community the only one who gets brought up all the time? I'm sure there's toxic positive fanboys in other communities, but Genshin is on a whole new level.

i just got no reason motivating me to play genshin except the story after building 30 or so 5 stars with their sig weapons hsr will get to that point too in around 2 years

@@iqraedab5321 that’s definitely true for real life , but for games it’s more so up to the devs not adding any rewarding enjoyable or challenging content for a long long time in genshins case it’s also it’s design , by no means is it made for veteran players I mean it gets updates every 40 ish days yet I have played one and done games for 3x as long as it , but HSR has a lot more possible longevity I can see my self enjoying sim universe and maybe other game modes or additions to it for a lot longer than just spiral abyss

I don't understand why people cannot see flaws in things they like. Roses have thorns but people still love roses no? Without shadows how can the forefront be made clear. Balance is important and I don't understand how people don't know this. Me and Tectone have agreed and disagreed and i still love Tectone and the content. I can disagree with a person but accept them for who they are.
because theyre in an abusive relationship with the game, and i mean that literally. They are mentally ill lonely people that genuinely think their life gets better each time their "waifu" smiles at them. They need help, like genuinely. When you insult the game it is a personal attack because they are so out of touch with themselves, so dissapointed in how ugly they are because of the lack of self care that they NEED to project on someone as this successful harem master thats powerful as fuck and everyone fawns over him. Thats why.
Another part of this puzzle is that Hoyoverse games are free. This is really big for people with no access to money, but with a gaming device, and remember these games are available on multiple platforms. This means people from other cultures can also be involved, such as that of a developing country, who has very different values but still speaks English. Obviously, they're going to flock to the biggest content creators first, then slowly follow the community flow as we all do. The problem is that not all content creators have the same outlook of the game, nor do they respect the audience in an acceptable manner to those from an outside culture. As Americans, we are blunt and foward, but someone from somewhere else (I'm not familiar with other cultures, hence the lack of location) may find that being humble and greatful for what has been given to them is the norm there. Thus, a problem occurs when someone bluntly tells it how it is. They may think it's not showing gratitude for the game they love, or perhaps the content creator seems too conceded, with the mindset of being smarter than the developers of the game. This hurts their feelings because this game is the greatest thing in their life currently. The problem is very multilayered, and these points were left out of the video, and no, this is not a reason to hate another culture, this is how they think and feel, as such, should be treated with the same respect every other person deserves

It has nothing to do with being a free to play game - in other free to play games, you can buy the unit/weapon/skin/whatever with real life money directly: in genshin, even the largest whale is still subject to the whims of the dice, of the 50/50. In addition to that, units like Dehya who had large build up of hype before her own banner, became a disappointing bait for both free to play and whale players - that, however, did not stop Hoyoverse from making considerable money off of her before washing their hands clean like Pilate and moving on unapologetic.

I blame genshin content creators being never critical of the game. Genshin is mid as fuck. Sure its cool for a bit but it feels like there's lots of problems. HSR is great because we had content creators speak on quality of life and what we want in general on top of an already good game. Being met with changes we want.

I dont agree. Personally think that Genshin creators are simply not vocal because they realize that Genshin Impact is a game where vocality won't mean anything. In the beginning around patches 1.4-2.0 creators including Tectone were just theorizing that they only ever listened to their Chinese playerbase, which is still more or less still being supported. Later, in an interview Genshin Devs also announced they weren't planning to make any more endgame as well.

I play Honkai very casually, always before I go to work or before sleeping. Although, I do enjoy optimizing my characters and getting through the most difficult content even as a casual, it's never going to be enough to make me care about how much the game is generating money, or what character earned Hoyo more revenue, or what character is meta or not. It just doesn't really matter to me. So, every time I see people making fun of others because their character didn't earn Hoyo more money, or getting angry that x game is generating more money, or angry because a content creator called their favorite character mid is just stupid. These people must either not have jobs, be in middle school, or have a privileged life to be able to spend so much of their time and energy to care so much about these things. If worrying and raging about what a content creator said about your fav character/game is your number 1 concern, then boy, do you have it easy in life.
Can I say for a game that didn't release any new female limited 5 star since 3.2 with nahida and "waifu" character since nilou in 3.1 these numbers are kinda insane and also the release of a new region doesn't necessarily mean more revenue since all the 5 star characters are reruns except for lyney because for better or worse the characters are the source of money in these games not the amount of content release or anything also i want to add one thing i would happily sacrifice those 10 pulls we get every patch in hsr if I can get the resources we get in genshin like enhancements ores and books and mora and so on we get a lot of that in genshin it's so comfortable to build characters instead of having them put on to the side

I think it's similar to the situation with Heroes of Might and Magic 3, when many fans did not know that the main series of Might and Magic is science fiction, not fantasy.
Smackdaddyking was a Mihoyo whiteknight. He hated genshin, actively posted videos to make the game worse, and then stopped uploading genshin content after realizing the game was dead, because of him.
I know what hes saying. I remember a bottlemi response post where someone sent out one of those 100% positive reinforcing messages to "keep doing what youre doing" or something along those lines, and got a response saying not to just encourage everyone and everyone to keep doing what theyre doing because you dont know what theyre doing. All I had to say was he's not wrong.
But, as you say, kids dont get it. They got it from somewhere that everything you experience in life needs to be positive. That can really only happen if you never work a day in your life and never interact with other humans or carnivorous animals.

I’m generally stating that honest, upfront creators who call out certain improvements that need to be made are genuinely helping when it comes to making quality of life adjustments for games.
I understand that not all suggestions and things done/said are useful.

The only time I see people getting backlash is whenever they outright use derogatory messaging without trying to offer a possible solution of their own. Or in other words just valid criticism.
There are few exceptions, like the Kokomi incident, however, this is a studio that banks off of trying to manipulate their users into parasocial relationships between the player and characters, so sadly not everyone will be rational.

I play genshin on a daily but unlike stans and fans, I dont play the game 5-10h a day. I play atleast 30 minutes. sometimes an hour. I do comms, claim and exit. abyss, grinding, exploring and quest doings are also options for me to do. Im pretty much a decent cook irl and do workout daily aswell.
I've been playing Genshin since the day it got released, and I have no idea why there are these Genshin stans got triggered over small things like this, literally just bunch of snowflakes. This is a message for all the Genshin stans out there 14:12

This also goes back to people going feral over the Wanderers banner revenue 😂 We had kids thinking theres no way he would pull in so little, refusing to acknowledge the plethora of reasons why all the banners since post Deyha have been doing relatively poorly.
Mihoyo will probably never have another 46mil banner as they did with The last Hu Tau/Yelan banner, and they only have themselves to blame for it. But some of these kids dont get it and lash out at those tgat gave reasons why this would be happening. But, theyre too emotionally invested to see the simple logic.

honestly, the reason why hsr is currently doing sales is bc its a newer game with newer lore/stories which is why some people tend to invest their time on playing it, some content creators are investing on the game too for newer content (gather new audience). Unlike me who reached tl62 and got easily bored bc of the boring repetitive gameplay. I can't imagine people playing hsr for 3 years straight, unless they've spent hundreds/thousands on it already.
Not really, probably in 3 years we will have more endgame content than genshin, just like honkai impact, actually we already have more endgame content with the simulated universe so😂
@davud3005 I mean to be fair they are different games, and honkai impact 3rd is significantly less popular than both genshin and hsr, also this guy was saying the gameplay was repetitive not that you would never get more endgame content (not to mention it really needs more since it's a turn based game)
Yea and no. For sure it’s hype and fresh right now, but the fact that star rail already has more rewards, endgame, better story with less filler, more quality of life. I would be salty too if I was a genshin player bc it feels like it was a testing ground cash cow to fund star rail the real passion project. Also tbf there was probably less pressure on the upper management to make money since they already did with genshin so they gave the star rail devs more creative freedom which really shows. Genshin was make or break moment for hoyoverse so I don’t really blame them.

@@mrwhisa inazuma was great, and many great moments in genshin. I played up through the desert in sumeru. My problem was the crazy amount of filler dialogue with npc and paimon. Star rail trims the fat and respects my time more than genshin which I like a lot. But I agree the core lore in genshin is great, but I actually like to watch youtube lore videos more than play the actual game

i think the messege itself was really good, but the problem is, that i can't just take someones advice on how you should live your life because after over a year of therapy i know that its not that easy to just tell someone whats goal of life is, and whats good or not. Also he makes a lot of statements about what life is and is not about, and i dont want to tell that he is wrong, i just would need to verify if anything that he says accually make sense and helps you. So in the end i agree with him, but i got the feeling that he makes this video thinking that everyone should agree with how you should live. (i want to say that, this is how i felt about that video not how you should feel)

I don’t get why it’s so offensive for some genshin players because the game still makes shit tonnes of money and still one of the top. I play both games and I see no problem with it. There will be months when genshin will make more money than hsr, there also will be more months of the opposite but it’s totally fine.

idk, despite his bad takes and drama in HSR (i know him only from HSR) i like the guy, he's entertaining and playing his persona well. People take things about gacha games (or even video games in general) too seriously apparently. Remember how lootboxes business model received crackdown and regulated by law maker in some country due to it's negative effect on young players? I think we should brought up the same issue for gacha games, because as much i love playing HSR, genshin or what not, it's clearly bring a negative effect to a lot of people both financially and psychologically that sometimes lead into criminal act.
