Damn..his playing gives me goosebumps
Thank God TTB is keeping this style of music alive!!
Yes!! I walk by the campus almost everyday. And Hallelujah for this new stuff. But ain't nothing like this lineage of music💞✌️🤙
I agree with all who have said that Derek is the second coming of Duanne. BUT, I believe Susan has been the best thing that could have happened to Derek. Her soul and powerful voice are fantastic !!
Wow if that don't bring tears to your eyes nothing will. Great, brings back the Allman bros as only Tedeschi Trucks Band can.
Within this beautiful thing called the evolotion of music that we are experiencing comes interpretations of creative thoughts. This interpretation was very "teaching" and entertaining at the same time. Trucks is like "this is how this song can sound" while beautifully promoting and highlighting the raw emotion. Outstanding work. I feel very grateful for coming across this. Anyone else?
I feel this is an interpretation that's on a level that would appeal to professional musicians . The technical nuances, creativity, Susan's voice, Kofi's solo are all there but for me personally I need to listen to it a few more times to try and grasp
the magic.
Derek playing that last section got to me. It reminded me so much of Duane's playing, I lost it. I am trying to see what I have typed through tears of joy and sadness. I've always said that The Allman Bros. Band regained their spirit and sense of musical direction when Derek and Warren joined the band and it was with pure joy that I listened to them in their last few years. Now all but Ja Moe are gone, end of an era, can see my own end coming. I've done enough damage to God's creation. A word of wisdom from someone who seemed to ignore all of it that ever came my way, seek peace. With yourself first then others, cause if you take care of the first you will be better equipped to accomplish the other.
Dickey is still very much alive. If it hadn't been for him the band wouldn't have lasted past Duane and Berry's death.
Dickey Betts is still alive...
Great wisdom!!!! Like a sage..
Well said. Like a true fan of the band and of the beauty of life in general.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. TTB and other Magnum Opus musicians for your performance at The Brady in T-Town and a very special thank you for Leon's cover! Certainly he smiled down from heaven! Hope to see you all soon. Perhaps big D with Willie!💙
I was there. It was a great
show!
Just saw them 12/1 at the Orpheum heading down to DC in February to see them again. My son got me tickets for Christmas. Can't wait to go on this road trip with him to see this incredible band.
Yeah I am a fan of that. So what. I was a fan of The Allman Brothers. Derek Trucks impresses the hell out of me when he goes off on that SG. He and Susan have an incredible band.
Yeah, brother, I am a fan of that, too! I have seen Gregg, with and without the BAND, maybe 23 times, and I hate he is gone, but ya know what? The SOUND lives on, and I love Tedeschi Trucks Band. All the crap on the radio,.....Nobody cares about the music they produce anymore, and it all sounds terrible, with no soul, or message,......Damn I am glad they are still out there, keeping the flame burning!
They are all fabulous musicians 10+
I LOVE HER VOICE!
Killer rendition of a classic!
Man! AMAZING!
Great recording!!
Glad you enjoyed it Seth!
Soooo good as usual.
Derek does what the Allmans would do best.... improvise on a theme or song and make it his own (version) like with eg Mountain Jam/ When Susan Tedeschi starts singing ...spine chilling stuff ....
I simply LOVE to sing this song! Soul releasing......
Susan has an awesome voice
They played this last night! PNC Pavilion! Best live show I’ve seen in a very long time!
This was awesome. I'd love to hear Susan do a cover of this song.
I just got chill bumps. WOW
Carrying on in True ABB fashion. Duane, Butch and Gregg are smiling.
And Berry!
And Dickie
marko marić Dickie is still alive. But yes, I'm sure he approves!
@@dddrrr78 Yes i know Dickie is still alive of course. I just though he was laughing with rest of them
Rockin'...
This is a remarkable piece because it is written in 11/4 time 123 123 123 12 . That is why the bass and drummers are working so hard because it is incredible hard to do. I love the face she pulls at him when he sets out on the final solo, "OK Honey what you got for us?"
11/8 is only a portion right. Majority is in 12/8.
great musicians and great music..
MAN! Filmore all over again!!!!
Kofi's able to create with all the greats surrounding him these nights.
I wish I could hear the bass. He is working hard.
Thought the same when I saw them two weeks before this show.
Oklahoma Hank - Agreed re: the bass. That’s Tim Lefebvre and he’s terrific. He also played on David Bowie’s last album. Very noticeable that he’s putting a lot into that performance.
The Allman Brothers Band with Trucks and Hayes live video as some awesome bass, especially the intro.
bass line is strong- coming thru big time here
Oklahoma Hank I see him 🙌🙌🙌👍
they are heaven
Love it! Miss the second guitar solo though...
Lord knows I've been tied to that whipping post. Have mercy on we.. 🙏🙏🙏
Bad ass
oh yea
James Ball you said it bro
What's not to love 💞 about The Tedesch Trucks Band. Eric plays a mean Guitar and Suzanne singing reminds me of Aretha Franklin
I swear he looks like Duane the way he oversees the other musicians!
Mansqatch on bass. He plays the bass like it's one of his limbs.
carrying on the legacy
Blues Showwwwwww (Johnny Otpor)
I think I met God during that... thanks Derek
Freight Train with a Virtuous Conductor!
+ marshallzak "Virtuous Conductor" That would make a great band name! Great comment too!
Just Nasty!!!
How old was Derek when he married Susan ?
He was 22 and she was 31. She is 9 year's older than him. They have been married for almost 18 years.
Smitty marriage made in heaven !!
Thank God they got together I literally don’t know anyone who cannot directly relate and thoroughly enjoy this BAND numero uno in my book.
did he get the 2 drummers from the allman brothers band
No
john kearns no and there is a comment somewhere in here about how they got two drummers to play simultaneously.
orsome music... wy you play just for yuorself.
In the same ball park with the original Allmans version, but Derek ain't Duane. There will never be another Duane. I like him better than Dickie, tho. They make good use of those drummers. What happened to the first part of the song?
Marcus Teblano The Tedeschi Trucks Band Usually doesn't play the full song, they feed off of another into the second solo and tail end of the song.
Marcus Teblano , I grew up with the Allmans when they lived in Daytona Bch Fla. Duane was my absolute favorite and still has a place in my music , but right now Derek is probably one of the best guitarists living . Hate to say I think he is better than Duane, live long & rock on....
I agree, technically Derek is among the best of the best, but I haven't heard him make it sing like Duane could.
He isn't trying to to be Duane
Gary L,,.Not a chance in hell . Derek never tries to be anyone but himself & the most important thing to remember here is Duane has been gone for more years than Derek has been alive & had he survived that terrible day as good as he was then what the hell do you think he would be like now. There can be no comparison.
Derek is Allman Bros royalty but seeing this song played without Gregg, Butch, Jamoie, Dicky..... let alone Dwayne is just not the same
what do u expect? dead is dead.their still pretty fuckin good!
Kofi
Derrick please stop shying away from the audience
people talking during this? ugh.
edkerry87 big dummies
Half of Derek Truck's is solo noise. He is brilliant but the noise destroys the brilliance.
One of my favorite songs of all time! And TTB brings me back to my teens, instantly! But... 10 minutes of guitar solo? No bridges, crescendos, and 1 vocal phrase? Keyboards are non existent (Where's Gregg when you need him?) and my biggest complaint - the guitar should never overpower her vocals Turn Susan up for god sakes. Where did they get their producer/sound man?
The goofiest man bun to date.
And that's why we came here. To witness and focus upon a man bun. Right?
I don’t like that cat Trucks’ playing. That cat should stick to rhythm work.
Derek truck to much of him. hew could listen to that for 1 hour it is all the same
It really annoys me when a great musician turns his back to the audience.
