On the balance shaft bearing with hole. They say bearing hole is to face up but looking at pic in repair manual can see screw for fill hole which looks like hole is actually facing down to lower part of engine not up towards cylinders. Just curious when they say hole faces up is it because they have crankcase half with cylinder studs as starting assembly so hole is facing up towards you but as you put together other half it’s actually at bottom of engine opposite direction of cylinders?
It should face up towards the cylinders. It's for providing initial oil and I've also heard it's to bleed off air. In any case having it face down wouldn't serve any purpose IMO.
Ok just noticed when I cracked my case apart never been previously apart that hole faced bottom of engine away from cylinder. I started to look closer at pic shown in seadoo manual and noticed the fill hole showed in pic which lead me to believe hole was actually facing away from cylinder. If you have seadoo repair manual take a look and will see fill hole screw opposite direction of hole on bearing
Great video👍🏻

Interesting ..it's possible I got it backwards. I have a group of experts to ask. Thanks for pointing it out
I'm in the same position. I'm unsure which way to orient the hole. Was towards the pistons the correct position ? Thanks!

Do you use syntetic SAE 30 oil oder mineralic ?
Conventional dinasour sae 30. But many are switching to synthetic jetpump oil, which is 75w90.
