Holy crap!! I was under the assumption the crank was welded together or something and required a machine shop to do this type of work. Well done sir!!! This is incredible insight!!
Dude, you obviously done a couple hundred of these... Impressive skills.. Thanks for sharing! Oh i suppose you could always put some loctite outside the bearing if you needed insurance it doesn't spin.. Good job
Чистит то не от забоин а от нагара масляного. Но жесткой щеткой по месту работы сальников... я над этими местами дыхание задерживаю, тряпочкой с растворителем протирая...
What size bearing splitter is that at 1:35 ? I bought a splitter kit with a few different ones, and they are all too small. I find the size ratings on them very confusing. I recently rebuilt a crankshaft and ended up building a puller tool because the tools I bought didn't work. Edit: I also notice that it looks like Sea-Doo is nice and leave a little space between the bearings and webs... On the Kawasaki cranks there is only a few thou clearance. Cheers.
Amazing work, I would have sworn that welding would affect the trueness of crank and also welding metal without cleaning it how does it stick? Amazing watching you work mate!
in one of your very helpful videos on a 720 you mention grease to swell the O rings in the top end. Is there any one that is better than others? Silicone, synthetic etc.. Thanks
Great Video what is the tool that holds the bearings called? And what is the part # for the bearings. I have to replace the second bearing in from the the PTO. Thanks!
Hey I’m working on a 2001 1200 yam and I’m getting water in all three cylinders is there anything you could think of that I should look for? I got great compression so I was thinking it’s comming from something else that’s not the top end gaskets
It has regular right hand threads, vise it then use a pipe wrench on the impeller tool, preheat the PTO counterbalance with propane and use a pipe for leverage.
Thanks for making this video for us. Ive always wanted to know how to time everything. I did notice that on your first weld, why didn’t you weld the other part? You only ended up with 3 welds.
Great video, I'm getting ready to rebuild a 787 crank, this answered some questions and gave me some idea's on how to do this. Was that a .020 feeler gage on the rods also? Where do you get your bearings and seals from? Thanks for your time and knowledge, really appreciate it..
When I get my cranks done I pay $1000. For what you just did in an hour with $50 worth of bearings and new connecting rods. Do you build stroker kits for skidoos? I have a triple 700, 809 and 780. Obviously the 700 and 809 are nikasil plated so they’d need to be sleeved or bored and repeated . 780 isn’t but has shorter rods the 809 I believe.
Hi. Maybe you can help me to find where is problem. Engine run only idle and doesnt accelerate when to try accelerate then stall. Found rotary valve gear have change, carb rebuild and test pop up pressure that’s are good. Compression are same and good. I think maybe crankshaft are broken. ruclips.net/user/shortskLspWiS6990?feature=share

You helped me do much I purchased two motors 660 I'm definitely doing those. Timing gear moved

Cool video never seen how th8is was done. Thx
Nice work
Классно!!! Сначала он кидает в коробку разобранный коленвал и щеки бьются друг о друга а потом он их чистит от забоин 😂😂😂

I normally just use automotive grease.
How do you do this with a 3 cilinder?

Why do you weld the crank?
When you take them apart and reassemble them sometimes they can twist or loosen up when running. Welding just locks it in place.
Hey, does the main journal gear have to be pressed in a certain way?
Thank's i like you no edit any and could see all how to do, only question is where to get inner seals
WSM has them
Excellent video thank you. I just subscribed excellent job
What a metal use to welding is it aluminium or what?
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Where are you located, do you have a place to get parts from you? Thanks
Do you do the 787 the same way
yes -

Are you connecting a hose on shore when this happens?
Ho much would you charge to rebuild a 587 crank shaft from a 91 XP?
what is welding rod use
How did you remove the rear counterbalance? I think it is threaded but I cant get it off.
It has regular right hand threads, vise it then use a pipe wrench on the impeller tool, preheat the PTO counterbalance with propane and use a pipe for leverage.

Normally I buy the seals from WSM and the bearings from bearing dealers.
awesome

Very nice 👍
Thank you 👍

see if it has spark on both cylinders
I chek it it. In same have good spark. Maybe stator have some problems? Spark to early or to late?
@@davisf3671something in your carb. Probably pilot jet. All they need is fuel, air, spark decent compression to run.its not the stator.
