- In this video I explain how the carbs work and what the issues are with the White engine set up. Resurrecting a Seadoo 97.5 GSX Limited aka the Gray Ghost. This was the first year of the big 947/951 Rotax Engine.
I'd like to see how you set the idle.

@@jonparkmac haha. That’s exactly How I found you!
What happens if you do all of the steps in converting the 97.5 carbs to the newer specs but leave the vacuum lines on the diaphragms connected?
You subject the fuel flow to being controlled by electric solenoids and other factors instead of what the engine aspiration is saying it needs. That's one reason these leaned out so much, the needle/seat would close while the engine is over 3/4 throttle.
for the accelerator pump shouldn't the hose be the same length so it pumps equally into each carb?
Hydrodynamics says it doesn't matter. Like how sprinklers work on a lawn
@@jonparkmac ic i just bought a used 2001 that had the mag cylinder not running after cleaning it out I noticed that where the short hose was going into was clogged after cleaning it changed cylinders so the pto cylinder was running and the mag cylinder stopped running but after making the hose equal length they both run now. Not sure why it is.
That's odd. The accel pumps are only to prevent a lean stall. They won't cause a cylinder to starve and not run.
Is this the same carb rebuild kit for the 98
Yes. Here is what I used osdparts.com/index.php?main_page=product_free_shipping_info&products_id=41
