    I just received my 3.3, loving nitro again after about a 10yr layoff. So far I've put a single 400oz steering servo, and placed a 2075 for throttle servo for stronger breaking power. Also stock Erevo 2.0 talons just for the look. I agree it's a good truck overall.

    • @romper4444
      @romper4444 Год назад

      @@RazorRC YES! They're was so much uniqueness back then! The losi LST chassis was pretty much the king of monster truck class, especially when the hybrid losi muggy came out(what created the truggy class), but then the Revo platinum came out, but the class was dying at that point but it cleaned up at the end(I still have one, truggy handling with monster truck bashability, the muggy as well). The savage never did well but I used to love seeing all the unique creations and mods people would do to them and all the MT's to make them perform. Many people are too young to remember that traxxas also had an s-maxx, 2wd designed for racing with sport pin tires, single speed trans no reverse, different shock tuning. and then they had another t-maxx that looked like a classic but was 2wd and you could buy the 4wd upgrade kit when funds allowed and then there was another Maxx im forgetting details about I'd have to google their vintage models. But the duratrax warhead and ofna monster pirate were popular, the team associated monster gt(which was kind of a copy of the t Maxx, but why didn't trx sue them like they did to arrma recently? Lol) also the tamiya tnx(both versions)did very well, there were so many different RC brands back then with SO MANY unique designs, remember the cen genesis 7.7 special addition with TEN SHOCKS! Still gonna get one someday, it had a vertical linkage with cantilevers connecting to a shock running left to right across the top of the shock towers plus the 8 other shocks savage style. Those days were the best of the RC nitro hobby, electric was for little kids, it wasn't even a thought, brushless lipo opened up the hobby to the masses which is good, but then China got involved and basically everything the same chassis design now. Even 5th scale is dead now. i really hope there's a resurgence to fuel powered rc's at some point. I'm glad to see HPI up and running again and re-releasing both slightly updated Savage's again. Although I think it's a futile recovery at this point as most people have moved on from HPI and new RC'ers don't even know of them. Its kinda sad what's happened to the nitro side of the hobby. Breaks my heart. Not to mentioned what's happened to the pricing of these, I can't afford 1000 bucks Canadian for a new savage. Its ridiculous, 12yrs ago I bought a savage for $399. I'll stop my ranting now lol. keep up the nitro content tho man!

      If it's in good shape and not beat to hell then yes it's a good deal. But if your inexperienced and don't know what to look for I wouldn't buy a nitro, you need to be experienced to run nitro, you need to understand tuning carburetors or you'll overheat the engine and blow it up. Plus there's many extra tools/accessories you need to run nitro.

    • @Brandon_Nelson92
      @Brandon_Nelson92 2 года назад

      arrma and traxxas both have their pros and cons. At least the newer traxxas models are a lot more durable than the old ones. The maxx v2 is an absolute tank. I've been messing with RCs for almost 20 years and the x-maxx and maxx v2 are still the toughest and all-time favorite RCs I've ever had. They both have very solid drivelines and do well with big motor swaps. The arrma notorious 6s is a close runner-up. It is a standing backflip machine and does some very impressive stunts, but I wouldn't dare send it flying at a skate park like my maxx v2.
      The arrma 3s blx series are the best value for durable 1/10 bashers, especially when they go on sale. The stock electronics are much better in the new arrmas.
