Im a year and a half
I began by retwisting with oil and water and decided to switch to mango lime to retwist
Worst decision ever
I did the acv and got it all out almost
One more detox and i will be good
From now on i retwist with oil and water like before

DXLYN locs I did a Video already sis few months back I loved the result do check out my playlist. Seeing you do your husbands Locs reminded me of doing mine again I think once or twice a year is good for a detox especially if you don’t use heavy products. What’s your take on that? 😊

This is what I want to achieve, aesthetically beautiful hair. No lent or build up. Had mines for about 10 yrs and they were a mess. Ruined it with conditioner. It caused so much buildup. I took them out about 15 yrs ago. Starting over this year 2021 hoping to get better results this time around.
That inflatable soaking tub is awesome! Just watching you gently rinse his scalp was calming and comforting.

Hello! You do amazing work. And I love how you take care of your family's hair. I have been locked for 3yrs now. I use different oils on mine. And spray with rose water every 2 days now. Sometimes my locs feel dry. Any advice on what kind of moisturizer to use? I do use the natural aloe leaf gel to retwist every 4-6 weeks.

When dealing with locs, its ALWAYS best to saturate the hair with water before adding products...even shampoo so it's still the case with this

The same silly... The ingredients would stay the same. Have the same reaction on hair. Cleansing.
It won't change hair texture ESPECIALLY because it's locs.
You can do the same acv and baking soda soak. It will detox the hair. Depending on your hair thickness you may have to do the soak more than once. Rinse thoroughly and apply whatever cleaning products you use. Style as normal. If you notice the hair is dryer than normal apply a light oil 🙂

Anytime. But focus on the scalp. It’s necessary to saturate the extensions in oils. This may loosen the attachments as well. Scalp only.

My grandson 7 starting hos locs ..how can i retwist without product?
You can use either an oil or aloe vera gel. After washing, apply the oil or Aloe vera to the roots and twist then clip into place. Let them dry under a hooded dryer. It's pretty simple. The roots will still hold. The roots maintain longer if you 2 strand twist or plait them after tightening the roots

Only 1 time a year dont over do it acv rinse strips the hair
Once a year Is recommended. Have you tried doing them yourself? It doesn’t have to be perfect. A little care goes a long way.

If someone is having issues with their scalp you need to see a Trichologist they specialize in issues of the hair and scalp a Dermatologist specializes in the skin it would be a waist of money to see them about your scalp🙂
Tarina Brooks oh ok. The Trichologist isn’t qualified medically, the dermatologist is. Trichs are specialists. Dermatologists treat scalp issues too, even do hair transplants. The scalp is just skin that is on your head, it differs bc of the amount of follicles, layers, glands etc. As a hair care professional, I refer ppl to doctors and doctors refer them to specialists but I hear you love.
What cause the end of your loc to turn brown?
Sun, it bleached all hair over time. With locs we just have our hair much longer and the same strands are always on the outside.
Are oils not products?
Oil doesn’t tend to leave a residue since it penetrates the locs and scalp.
