This video is probably the best one I've seen so far, I only watched this demonstration last night and first thing this morning I went for it and I can say, this is 100% the best way to get rid of built up dirt for locs! I want to do it again, I done the process twice and I'll probably do it again when I need my hair retwisted again. I'd say about 85% of my dirt lifted and it looks like I dyed my hair black lol, that's how much dirt I had built up over a 9 year period. Keep up the good works with these videos, they truly help!
I find it so stunning how your locs didn’t even LOOK like they didn’t need a detox but that just proves how much build is in our hair. Loved the video all around cant wait to save some money nd do my own
Millicent Swift She looked as if she was checking on you because you were on the floor. She wanted to make sure you were okay, and show you some love while you were down there. She is so cute. 🐶❤️
I have done an ACV rinse and I love it. You never know much dirt or products are in your hair until you look at the water. I did mine in the kitchen sink....that infatible sink looks comfortable! Your dog is adorable.
Your locs are actually fairly clean cause you take care of your hair as always🙂. I've seen some folks acv soak look like they were sleeping outside on the ground🤢🤢... I did an acv on my loose natural hair a while back and it was actually too harsh. The baking soda stripped all moisture and even after rinsing repeatedly it felt crazy. I had to do some rounds of deep conditioner.
So I live in town where there are no African American beauticians so I have made friends with a white Beautician and we watch this video so that she can detox my locs and she did a great job thank you for your explanation.
Maybe if I knew how to take care of my locs back then I wouldn't have pull them out after a year and a half. It looked awful with lint and such in it. So now I live vicariously watching your journey.
Yours came out great but using the Neutrogena (I'm so mad they discontinued it!) after doing an acv rinse is much MUCH too drying for my hair, especially three washes with it. I use a moisturizing shampoo after both the acv rinse or just normal shampooing with a clarifying shampoo, then make an aloe and rosewater spray to add moisture back into my hair.
I did this today. My scalp and hair feel so revitalised and clean as a whistle 👌 ( but I prepared it in a clean plastic bucket and poured it over my dry hair in the shower and then shampooed and conditioned with a special hair and scalp shampoo and conditioner afterwards ). Great result.
No locs but I use ACV quite frequently. It does wonders for my scalp.. Sometime I use with clay for a deep cleanse 👍👍 .. Hope you and sissypoo are staying safe and healthy! 💚
@@abigailisrael4755 I've gotten it from walmart, target, wholefoods, and I've seen it on amazon (but the amazon prices are spiked up fyi). Hope this helps! ☺✌
First if all, I KNOW you dont think you can get away without doing a tutorial in that hairstyle at the end lol. I just did an acv for the first time on my 3 yr old locs and I was SHOOK. My hair was so happy after. I added tea tree oil and no lemon juice in mine
@@NaturallyMichy I just eyeballed it...maybe like 5-10 drops 🤷🏽♀️ I just experimenting and hoping for the best. Can't wait to see the hair tutorial to come 🤩👍🏽
Ive loced over 12 years and have been a cosmetologist and only recently heard about this process .. I plan to use this even with or without the locs .. I dont retwist often in the past, my hair has its own mind and I am tired of fighting... lol thanx for your channel blessings in abundance...
Great video, preparing to acv my grandsons locs. This video was helpful and the music along with your words were encouraging!! The dog tickled me . Shout out to sis for assisting .
Nice video, my dog tried that a few times lol. I actually add pure almond extract with my ACV rinse. Works great for my locs. And I use Jamaican mango and lime shampoo and protein conditioner for my wash.
Definitely needed to find a video like this I haven't had a chance to deep clean my locks in years. I'm probably going to need to do multiple silks just to get all of the build up out
Wonderful video! I’m about to do my first ever ACV rinse so I wanted to see someone else’s process once, thanks! I’m gonna try it the way you did it, appreciate you sharing 🙏🏼
Who knew there was such a thing as an inflatable sink?! I never knew this item existed. What a great find! Love the dog in the video. I noticed while watching this video we are wearing the same Target t-shirt in the same color!! (4:50) I got a great chuckle from that.
Looking up videos about the rinse, glad I came across yours. Your hair is beautiful! Next wash I will definitely use this method to wash/rinse my hair. Thanks for taking the time to share!
Did you notice a visual difference with residue build-up? I always shampoo my locs in the shower and my hair is so heavy now when it’s wet. (Hair to to top of my backside) Bothers my back and neck afterwards, so I wanna try shampooing in my inflatable tub after the soak as well. Having help is a great idea too. Plus my birthday is coming up and I know exactly who to ask.
Im loving the dog wanting to get in on the action 😅🤣🤣 so cute. I have a tub like that and I'm due for a detox , I need to stop being lazy and do it haha
You got some nice healthy locs good upload. I like how the dog was coaching yo sister everytime she Added products like yep that's the right amount of that lol 😂
I love that you added lemon juice! I added lime and loved the results. I do have a question about how often I can do this. My water was still chocolate the second time around. Yikes!😐
And don't have locks, but I think that you did an amazing job. You are such a beautiful person and so blessed to have a sister that helps you. Stay safe and blessed in Jesus name
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! You must be doing a great job with your locs. I've seen other ACV loc videos were the water goes dark brown after treatment
YaY!!! I've missed you! 😃 My role model. Your hair's coming along nicely. Was thinking of dyeing my grays, but after watching this maybe all I need is a brightening shampoo? I've never done an ACV since I maintain with interlocks and all the product I use is shampoo. I live in the tropics and sweat a ton everyday, so I don't even use oil. My body produces all the oil my hair needs right now, and since it's the rainy season the moisture levels in the air are just perfect for my hair, so I don't even moisturize either; just shampoo every 3 weeks. No shade, but I've never understood the point of an ACV rinse if you're gonna just put all that product back in anyway. It legit confuses me.
I've missed you guys as well and thank you! 🤗 No shade taken. My understanding of how the ACV rinse is used is to help get rid of stubborn product build up that was harder to get rid of during regular wash days over a period of time. If you're heavy handed with products, then this is something that I'd recommend for someone to do at least once a year. For someone like me, I don't use a lot of products to begin with. So this process was more of starting off with a clean slate and being more conscience of what products I use from here on out.
I just subscribed send am buying EVERYTHING on this list. I'm 7 yrs locd and my daughter 4 yrs amd I've never detox my hair because my hairdresser says not to. From what I've seen, this will be a regular thing!! 🙏🏿❤ Update: so I actually DID detox today and OMG 7 yrs of garbage and gunk came out of my locs. They look shiny are soft and smell amazing 👏🏿 💛 🙏🏿. How often shld we detox. Is once a month ok?
I’m almost 5 yrs and they are almost to my butt . I do almost the same steps . I use 1 cup of baking soda , half cup of ACV , 2 tea spoons of lemon . Extra ingredient Dawn dish soap to break down the oils from my roots . Your roots is where most of the build up is . And if you oil your hair a lot Dawn dish soap definitely gets it out the budded roots

Pepper was determined to taste that water 🤣
Girrrllllllllll! If we'd let her, should had either tried to swim in the bowl or lick the whole thing clean.
Awww, my 🐶 also Pepper ❤
I had a dog named pepper too🥰😂
I cant with the dog wanting a taste lmaooo
Hahaha! I know right!
Right
He wanted to help! Lol
It’s the lemon lol

Pookie doggy was killing me. He decided he needed attention then and there!!!!
She would not leave me alone for nothing.... and when we thought she was good in one place, she was like "SYKE, I'mma lick your face off!" 😂

Most instructional and least dramatic loc video on the tube ty friend 👏🏿

Understandable. Because I have so much grey hair, some days it's hard for me to distinguish between what's lint and what's grey hair.
Where can I get the bath been looking all over for it I'm from South Africa
Your hair grew so much! I don't have locs but I love watching ACV rinse videos lol
Lol me too! 🤗 Thanks for watching!

Could you tell me the name of the sink & where I can purchase one? Thanks in advance!♥️

My kids have dreads and I did the ACV treatment for their hair and they loved it! it also made their hair super clean.
Do you include the baking soda on your kids ACV rinse? My son is 4 and I’m Skepta go because he has naturally very soft texture hair
thank you so much for the link for the inflatable sink ..i’ve never seen those before and need one
Two and a half years with my locs and I’m going to do my first ACV rinse before my next retwist. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for sharing your process! I'm sad that they discontinued that product as well. It was a staple product for me.
