3:18 See's man with gun running across traffic... honks at him. xD Honda driver is on point today.
Well the other point to the horn is to alert the person in front you're coming, his brakes might not have been capable of stopping him in time so he could basically be warning a tunnel vision'ed officer that he's in a bit of danger.
A simple comparison would be a train horn. It's blowing to warn everyone to get out of the way because trains cannot stop on a dime or move out of the way.

I seen lots of cop videos, none of them have left me impressed like this guy.. obviously has additional training than regular cops. No way he’s just academy and super hero like that.
Glad to have this guy in the county
This is why we shouldn’t defund the police, but train them to be like this
Theredstar2478 that’s called military, unfortunately the police academy is nowhere near close to any military branch, and in my opinion is the most “useful” because they are fighting a war here, not defending countries that are not theirs to defend, just my opinion
@@Theredstar2478 Yep. This "lefty" agrees with you. In some other western countries, it takes 2.5 - 3 years of training to become a cop. We need training to be that high of a priority here. Being a cop is a dangerous job and things can go wrong in a real hurry. We want the best people with the best training on the job.
@@Theredstar2478 Stuff like this is exactly why we should defund the police. Imagine if police only had to worry about serious situations like this and other similar ones ie. robberies, physical altercations, and other dangerous situations, and other things like people having a mental health crisis were for an entirely different force. Then we would be able to focus the training much more and end up with more officers like this one. Understand that when people say defund the police they are not saying get rid of police they are saying let's not make them a one size fits all force anymore and I think that just makes our police better because they will have more focus on their purpose.

This adds proof to Jocko Willink's point about TRAINING on the JRE podcast. Not only could the officer shoot(when he actually should), he was also able to hoof it all the way through the stores, a parking lot, and an open field without having a heart attack from being extremely over weight or way too old to have that job. After all that running and confusion he still had enough awareness to know when to take his accurate shot between the break in traffic. I also noticed he didn't get all butt hurt at the car that beeped at him when he was running through full speed interstate traffic. Need more on the job like him for sure.
