Audi RS5 Cabriolet - Feel the wind in your hair and your wallet

- There are not a whole lot of four-passenger, two-door convertible vehicles out there on the market. It's a weird category occupied by unique offerings. One such offering is the Audi A5. If you want a little more juice you jump to the Audi S5. There's more out there though, and it arrives in the form of the Audi RS5 Cabriolet.
If you're going to climb that model ladder though, you're going to need to pay for the pleasure of doing so. The price tag of our tester? $86k! That's a whole lot of buck... but maybe not quite enough bang.

2022, just got the exact same car. Seems like a lot comments don’t like this car in 2015. Well, when you compare it to the new 2.0 T C63 and the V6 twin turbo Rs5/M3 in 2022, the V8 noise is definitely worth every penny.
This channel is underrated!
Spot on, as far as the transmission goes. People always say "well why waste the time using the paddles" Well why the hell take any effort to drive a manual if you're gonna bitch about using the transmission correctly? All a DSG is is an automated manual without the tendency to destroy itself, due to simple physics of slamming two pieces of metal together repeatedly, like a single-clutch.
hard top convertible would of been the icing on the cake, so wish they made it hard top convertible
This video is a great reminder to keep watching through to the end of the credits. Love the final comment... "If something breaks on the Aston...? You're f****d. You're just f****d." Great work as always Jeff.
How is it possible that this Video only has ~8k Views.
Nice Camera, Nice Commentatory, Nice Car... What else does it need ;)
However, keep up the good Work!
Great review and editing, glad to see a new video. If it were my money, I'd get the coupe. I like the way it looks more and it has a big sunroof. If I wanted a convertible around that price range, it would just have to be the F Type V8S.
Yay Jeff is back.
Corvette and German are 2 different planets not even a comparison
Probably would get an F-Type V8S convertible, for around the same price. 2015 was the last model year for the V8S, but there are still plenty around. More power, looks great, sounds incredible, and is an overall better driving and ownership experience. You looked like you were sitting a communist Russian lab from 1988 with that all grey and black man. I like the RS5's styling, but unfortunately it does not get me hard at the thought of owning one.
Bentley sounds like a spitfire from 3k onwards.
Show de bola lindo carro de patrão.

I mean.. What other car has awd, 4 seats, sounds good and has a great na engine etc... 911 4s cab maybe? But way more unless used.. Its not a track car so depends if someone doesn't think enough of the s5 cab
Shahul Usman It's a good car, it just seems like a hard sell to me at its existing price point. Still, you're totally right about there being little to choose from in the class. -JG
A Mercedes e550 cab is 400 hp + and is about the same price. No 4wd either
Shahul Usman Sounds better too. - JG
Shahul Usman If we can let the forced induction engines play a little bit here you have a few options. Mid Range (turbo) $70-150k BMW M4 and M6 - Good offerings, but I'm not spending my money on a BMW at this price range. Mid Range $65-75k (S/C) Camaro ZL1 Convertible - I'm not a Camaro fan but experiencing the ZL1 on the track shows how awesome it is. Still convertibles aren't track cars but a ZL1 Convertible could be a freaking blast to run around in as long as have an appropriate fuel/tire budget. Low/Mid Range $35-50k (N/A) Mustang GT - Though not as refined as the S5 or RS5 it's still a damn good car for the money. Recently at an event I was as I was pleasantly surprised by this car in how composed it was in tight canyons and long sweepers. It may be sacrilege for the Coupe faithful but imagining a Challenger Convertible would quite an awesome thing to behold.
There is an optional sport exhaust. Did the tester have it?
+Nuld Nuldenegger yes... it's not terribly exciting. The version they now fit to the S7 and S6, however, finally makes a nice aural difference. I assume they'll filter out a similar upgrade to the rest of the sporty vehicles in the lineup, at least I hope they do. -JG
Song in the background, please?
New main title graphic! Sleek.
Base none convertible is $70k... But if u want the convertible ok $86k and u say well if u can afford that you can afford the Aston Martin for $99k... Well if I could afford that I would get an RS7... And beat all of them 😊
***** the RS7 IS pretty dope...-JG
DAT 9044, Tho!
Does anyone know what colour that is? Is it nardo grey?
sniffingglue1000 It is. -JG
2015 GT-R Review Please
***** Will the Nismo version suffice? (It's in the queue... already shot, will be edited soon) - JG
Sweet! Can't wait. Thanks!
Finally jeff is back! The other dude sucked
DoubleD 613 the other dude does not suck, and isn't life better with choices? -JG
In my mind rs audi's should just come in coupe, sedan or avant no convertible that's just my personal opinion of course others will feel differently
Flip side: can buy a fully loaded S3 with all these features, including more torque but less aural pleasure, for $49k as a crappy negotiator.
Joel deSanto flip-flip-side... get a Golf R, haha - JG
It's buy this car in a second if the put a manual transmission in it. It's total garbage with this automatic and ONLY 317lbs of tq.
'I don't know...I'd go with a Corvette!' Alright, that's it. Time to shut down this channel because you apparently have no idea what you were talking about.
