E-cigarette safety: the facts explained

- In this extended (13 minute) film, experts take a deeper look at the evidence on some of the issues that surround the use of e-cigarettes - including the safety of e-liquids and vapour, secondhand vaping, the 'gateway' theory, and the safety of vaping relative to smoking.
This is the second of a series of five NCSCT films for the public, part-funded by Public Health England and produced in association with the New Nicotine Alliance.
I was a heavy smoker - I smoked up to 2.5 packs per day for over 30 years. Around 4.5 years ago my best friend started using a vape (she was also a heavy smoker) and took me to a vape shop to check them out. The shop owner was extremely knowledgeable and provided me with a ton of information and what research there was at the time (I’m the type that enjoys reading through research, lol). After looking into it for a couple weeks, I decided to give it a try, went back in and bought my first mod, tank and ejuice.
The first week was rough, as I was coughing pretty bad initially (very common when you first switch I’m told) but that was it - I didn’t crave cigarettes unless exposed to smoke, and that quickly went away as well as my sense of taste and smell began to return. Thanks to vaping, I was able to completely quit smoking despite my husband continuing to smoke, which had been the biggest hurdle to me successfully kicking smoking in the past. It’s not his fault I didn’t have enough willpower, it was just how it was.
I’ve been smoke free for over four years now, with zero side effects from vaping. My blood pressure has gone WAY down, my breathing has 100% improved, I’ve dropped 40 lbs (thanks to being able to exercise now that I can breathe), and I’ve gone from a 24mg nicotine ejuice to a recent 0mg. I still keep a vape for those occasions when I’m around smokers and the urge to have one hits - THAT aspect of cigarette addiction never seems to completely go, despite now absolutely detesting the smell of cigarettes. It’s something that caused me to go back to smoking every time I’d tried quitting in the past, but now if I get that urge I just hit my vape a couple times and I’m fine.
Vaping quite literally has not just saved my life but has also helped me improve the QUALITY of my life too. I’m now highly active and in MUCH better shape physically than I’ve been most of my life. It deeply concerns and saddens me to see the current efforts to criticize and discredit e-cigarettes that are going on down in the US. They’re ridiculously false and often just outright lies that are stopping so many smokers from making the switch to freedom.
You must be right. I myself don't need to vape because i just quit smoking some 30 years ago with no problem, but some smokers do have a problem and vaping is an alternative to smoking which is also much less hazardous to health. One does not get his or her lungs congested with tar by vaping and that is what makes the huge difference.
This is the most accurate, non-biased informational video on E-Cigs on RUclips.
watch the video put out by the CDC and see if you you still feel that way. These are the same marketing tricks used by big tobacco for decades
@@paulsmith7425 what on earth are you talking about. The cdc just want to put out propaganda because they can't pay back the tobacco bonds
Without the E-cigarette, I'd probably would still be smoking 2 packs a day, I quit 4 months ago after being a 40+ yr smoker and I'm not hacking anymore, my constant smokers cough is gone and I feel a lot better and I'm 64 yrs old.
Yay I can't wait I bought my first vape today can't wait to smell again and chest to feel better just everything

I am 11 months no smoke now I understand your side :) I do suffer from the same smoker's cough every morning and it makes my acid reflux worse. jeremy's that is so very, very true...5 years for me and would never go back.
I met an older gentleman in a Facebook group who was saying he invented one in the 60’s or something and had proof and all that but then I found him in other groups basically stating that if it wasn’t for him vaping wouldn’t be what it is today. His ego was way too big.
vape juice is high loaded sugar. This sugar stays on the teeth. The body relases bacteria that feast on sugar to help remove it from your teeth before they rot away. To much release of this bacteria causes reciding gums as bacteria will eat away at gum and bone. Sugar toxins also stick inside the lungs so the body again releases bacteria into that the lungs to eat away at this but they will also eat away at lung tissues as the sugar is deeply bedded into the lungs. Gum disease and lung disease. So save yourself on tar but instead cause a body response that will kill you.
Vaping is no better then smoking. In fact as time goes on it will be shown how it is actually worse then smoking.
Sugar does not belong in lungs.
Smoked for 22 years. 4 months cigarette free. Best perk? My lungs no longer rattle and wheeze when I lay down to sleep anymore. Falling asleep isn't tainted with thoughts like "is tonight the night I'll die?"
That alone is enough for me.

Why are they banking e cigs and not cigarettes
On May 22, 2019, I will be one year tobacco free. I started at 25mg nicotine using my vape. I am currently at 3 to 6mg nicotine. I smoked for 18 years prior to quitting.
Good for you Diane! Aside from my quit date, of May 15, 2019 and smoking for 37 years, our nicotine strengths are parallel.
U still free?
I live in Australia, a walk in vape shop is rare to find in this massive country of ours. I found out about e-cigs online, I was lucky enough to stumble across some e-cig supplies and quit smoking as soon as I put the device together via some help with you tube tutorials. I had been smoking for 40 years! I still had 4 unopened packs of 40's which cost $38 per packet and never touched them again! It's been 8 months cig free for me, I import my diluted nicotine and add to my e-juice. I can buy every thing I need in Australia, apart from nicotine. Have any of our concerned citizens noticed that nicotine patches, gums etc are on the bottom shelves of out supermarkets, within the reach of children? and you don't need to be over 18 to purchase them? Ridiculous! I loved this very informative, true and tested report on vaping, come on Australia, get with the game!
Thank you.............

🚭I Don’t Smoke... iVape 😗💨💨
Congratulations Cathy!! I live in the United States. Your story is similar to mine. I smoked two packs of cigarettes per day on average and had been smoking for 42 years. I tried everything to quit from smoking cessation classes, patches, pills, and shear will power and nothing worked for me. I always felt like I was losing my mind because I was so addicted to cigarettes and then I bought a vape starter kit on December 9th 2012 and have never smoked another cigarette since. In just a little over 3 weeks it will be 5 years since I've had a cigarette. For a long time former smoker this is a huge accomplishment. My long term plan is to stop vaping. I started vaping with 24mg. of nicotine and have gradually reduced the dosage. During the 5 years I have gone from 24mg. to 18 to 16 to 12 to 9 to 6 to 3 and now I'm at 1.5 mg. At first when you cut the nicotine you'll have a slight craving for more nicotine but for me after about 2 weeks or so you will adjust. My overall health is so much better now. I love being a non smoker. This truly has been a blessing for me.
Well there's a big difference. I didn't have to drop any of my smoker friends as I am totally satisfied by vaping.
Australia is very very backward in a lot of ways.
When you start vaping, smoking quits itself, no issues, clear lungs, feel better. Save a lot of money.
Hello I’m from the US and I loved the video!! I work at a vape shop here and I see nothing but bad things about vaping as if no one here cares about others lives. I appreciate the video and keep up the good work!!
My father is a long time smoker almost 30 years then I bought him a mod and he is now tobacco free for 3 weeks.
I was a smoker for about 50 years, 2 packs a day for the last 20 or so. After hearing about vaping a year ago, I went to a vape shop and tried one out. I immediately knew this would work. I have been vaping and smoke free for a year at the end of this month. I wish vaping had been around 40 years ago. I have no fear of back sliding into ciggs again as I have tried a cigg recently and found i tasted like crap and didn't satisfy my urge to inhale at all.
JeffJimmyJimi I am 38 I smoked a pack a day vaping is a lot better I also quit drinking too. I like vaping alot better.
Vaping is way cheaper than smoking
but we do need it, it helps yes in a perfect world we wouldnt need to smoke or vape and shit but smoking is a problem cant you see telling people that stopping will save money or even if u smoke you will die does not work? ever since i can remember we have been getting told smoking kills yet we still do it, so stop wasting your time slamming things that help....
Tomato Man I quit smoking after 8 years the day I bought my first box mod tank and a bottle of juice, 10 mths without a cigarette, and without smoking I quit drinking, and weed, so 10 mths no cigs no weed no beer, thanks to vaping and will power....... you were saying....?
Tomato Man lol, for real tho I go half the day without vaping it's more of hobby at this point, new mods new juices every now and I don't crave vaping , it's just something I enjoy at this point, if you ever do think about it I can't recommend it enough to aid you, also those cheap e cigs are awful I found if your gonna vase you mine as well get a box mod and tank to get the best. Cape experience u can as close to the real thing otherwise you'll just fall back in to smoking because vaping won't satisfy you , but yeah more power to you and anyone who wants to quit, you can do it and vaping is a very helpful tool to accomplish it.
Vaping has helped my husband and I to stop smoking cigarettes. We've been cigarette free for almost a month! ❤️❤️❤️
@Tara King just ignore them, you have watched this video, you know the facts. They need to learn the facts
It has already transformed my health for the better, and I've only been vaping for 2 weeks. I stopped smoking entirely since I started vaping.
Me too wow
I quit smoking flavored cigars the same day I went to vaping.
I started vaping today! I'm going to try not to touch another cigarette again. I'm already loving the flavoured taste and smell instead of the awful regular cigarettes. Thank you for this informative video. It feels good to know that I've found a relatively safe way to quit smoking.
@NonLegit Nation Yes. 2 and a half years on, I'm still vaping. :) Haven't touched a cigarette since. I feel wonderful. I can do workouts like I've never smoked. And I'm down to 3mg nicotine in my e-liquid, so I'm not even addicted anymore. In fact, I don't miss the smoking and I especially don't miss the stench!! :)
@NonLegit Nation LOL ... I get you. My wardrobe and filing cabinet still smells of it when I open them. But at least my house smells fresh now, and so do I! Haha! Keep it up. You're over the worst hurdle. For me, the first 2 weeks were a bit difficult but after that, it was a piece of cake. DON'T, for any reason, take even a puff of a cigarette because you'll go back to the habit. I would stay on your 6mg a few months, if I were you, then switch to 3mg. Just to make sure your body doesn't crave more nicotine and get your urge back. I've been on 3mg for about a year now. I intend to switch to 0mg in a few months and then hopefully to quit even vaping. But I'm in no rush. I spent 40 years smoking and it nearly killed me, so this alternative is a life-saver at all events. Good luck!
I used to smoke a pack a day for 12 years, when times i hadn't cigarettes at late nights I become completely crazy until the next morning
I've been vaping for 45 days now without smoking a single cigarette, despite having an open pack of cigarettes in front of my sight all the day, with zero urge to smoke again and completely satisfied with vaping , i even began to hate the smell of smoking
Vaping has literally saved my life
same here,i smoked about 10-15 cigs a day for 20 years, since i started to vape 3 weeks ago i never touched another cig,my taste and smell abilities improved and i can run 50% more than i used to,cig smoke smell seems disgusting to me now.
same here but I'm little bit confused from the using and needs of the nicotine strength.
so I have a question please! how much nicotine you are using in the e-liquids??
thanks in advance.
Ahmed Sief
It depends on how much you vape everyday , the amount of nicotine is usually per milliliter so you can calculate accordingly , for example, if you vape 4 ml of 6 mg/ml e liquid daily that means you consume 24 mg in a day which in my opinion is too much , for me I prepare my e liquid myself and I vape around 10 milliliter a day and I put 20 mg nicotine in 100 ml bottle, that means I vape approximately 2 mg a day
Off course I started with higher dose of nicotine, in the beginning it was something between 15 to 20 mg a day and dropped gradually to 2 mg a day now
Omar Mohsin Ali Alkarawi
thank you so much for your explanation ... appreciate your response.
when you are saying 6 mg of nicotine you meant 0.6 mg right ⁉
so if it's 0.6 mg of nicotine that means I consume 2.4 mg of nicotine if I vape 4 ml.
is this too much as you mentioned ⁉
Ahmed Sief
You are welcome
I meant 6 mg not , 0.6
and I think if you vape 2.4 mg a day is not much
It also depends on the method you vape, if you do direct lung vaping , you body absorbs more than mouth to lung vaping
I have been a smoker for over 50 years....as time progressed, I became a very heavy smoker.
I suffer two heart attacks a few years back and, regardless of the doctors warnings, I continued to smoke.
A few weeks or so go, I bought a vape kit. At this time, I still smoke cigarettes, but far less than I had been in the past.
I hope it works. I've tried prescribed medications, chewing gum and patches...none were successful...in fact the medication..Chantix...made me sick.
I live in Australia, where vaping is still a grey area and nicotine infused vape juice is not available over the counter. I had to buy the juice I wanted from New Zealand.
The penalties of being a long term, heavy cigarette smoker are twofold....it has drastically shortened my life expectancy and it has burned away thousands of my hard earned dollars over the years.
However, I am resolute in my quest to kick the habit, but if one more do gooder tells me to "just go cold turkey", I will throttle them. Cheers
keep up the good work - be resolute!
I'm so glad I'm a vaper and ex smoker living in England. Such horror stories coming out of US and Canada where vape shops are being closed down and vaping not allowed. Their governments seem to be in the pockets of the billionaire tobacco companies.
It sucks. Im in Ohio. This state is ok so far. But it's not looking good. Hopefully enough of us will turn the tables on big tobacco.
@@twerkingtwinkies2335 I've seen a few positive news articles regarding the CDC and them revising their policy of no vaping to no vaping CHT illicit cartridges. I have smoked cigs for 50 years. Six weeks ago i started using Vuse Alto and have stopped smoking cigs completely. As a matter of fact, it has gotten to the point that, I don't like the taste of cigs anymore. I lit one up the other day and had three puffs and put it out. It tasted horrible! I am a big supporter for e-cigarettes and smokers that need help.

This presentation should be considered the Bible for explaining the subject of vaping. It is very obvious that these professionals receive absolutely 0 profit from the big tobacco companies. I'm 54 yrs. old. I started smoking at around 17, and smoked regularly for years. There were 2 times that I quit smoking, once for 3 years. I have tried patches, pills and they helped some, but not enough to not want to quit smoking for good. I woke up on August 4th of this year and felt like shit, that was the day I made the decision to give vaping a try, I figured what the heck do I have to lose... I'm so glad I made the switch, I haven't touched a cigarette since...thanks to vaping. My wife still smokes, but does vape at times when it's inconvenient to light up, but I am slowly working on her to give it up also. To be honest, when she is out back smoking, I don't even like standing close to her because of the smell of the cigarette.

That's pretty good for your age. Keep on vaping even until the day you die if it stops you from ever going back to smoking
Exact my case. Came down by 10 bmp and I am pushing now cardio everyday. How are you after a year now?
I walked into a vape shop planning to buy tobacco, left the shop with a Renova ZERO, after using it for a while without smoking actual tobacco I tried to roll some tobacco and was disappointed - the feeling was not the same anymore. So I definitely fall into the category of people who just dropped smoking without planning to. And it's great! I thought I never would.
35 years ago I picked up cigarettes. Started vaping a long while ago, returned back to cigs again after 18 months vaping, kicked again and have been vaping 100% for 2 1/2 years with nearly zero likelihood of returning to cigarettes. It was easier the second time because I found better products than when I first started vaping and found what works well for me in taste and delivery that ensured I maintained 100% vaping.
I went from being a total couch potato, to becoming much more active - putting on muscle, walking/running for miles, playing volleyball on weekends, fitness bicycling ... none of which I would do as a cigarette smoker. The positives, by far, outweigh the negatives.
44 years of smoking a pack a day and almost 1 year (in January) of vaping. I haven't touched a cigarette in the year that I have been vaping. My health has improved immensely. My breathing is better, my skin is clear and unblemished. My clothes don't stink, my teeth are nice and white. I detest the smell of cigarettes now and honestly I can't even visualize me ever going back to smoking cigarettes.
Darren Orris thats true buddy... When ever i imagine my self smoking again... I feel awkward about it... I hope il have the same feel once i quit vape too...

I was smoking for 15 years and decided around 6 months ago to pick up my first vape at age 31. The first change i noticed was the reduction per day in the amount of cigs i was smoking (particularly at home in the evening)
I finally made the full time switch to vaping 2 weeks ago and don't think i'll ever look back.
So pleased I watched this film - three months ago I quit smoking after 30 years and have been vaping ever since. Read so much that made me doubt whether the switch would in anyway be beneficial health wise to me but now I definitely know that I have done the right thing.
Thanks very much for this video because it really brought a tear to my eye. I really appreciate the information you gave in such a precise and clear way. It' s very reassuring as a smoker of 25 years to hear that what I have switched to is in deed actually safer than smoking because sometimes the media just talk shit. Peace and love

I started vaping in 2011, it was in its infancy back then so thee cig-a-likes were not that impressive at first, but then better consumer products came out in 2012 and I started to smoke les and less. Everyone has a vice my good man. We're not all so head strong to will ourselves to living a pure and toxic-free existence on this tarnished planet, especially when it comes to every aspect in our lives that affects our minds and bodies. Until the day we die, and I mean we as in every single living and breathing organism walking or crawling on this earth, there will be very strong chains that will be the cause of our inevitable expiration.
That's good for you. However, I wasn't talking generally but more on a grand scale. Aside from tobacco and tobacco companies, there are a lot of other harmful and toxic elements that we invite into our lives that are slowly sucking the life out of us. We're all consumers at some level, so in your words, we're all "slaves" to something that's going to get us killed in the end. Heck, even just looking at your computer screen or gluing your eyes to your mobile phone exposes your body to EMF that is said cause cancer. Do you think you can quit using your mobile phone or computer, or even watching television, knowing that it's emitting radioactive particles into the atmosphere around you?

Before I started vaping I would give up smoking for a bit then start up again, I used to get bronchitis every winter & end up on steroids as it affected my asthma. Since I've been vaping I've had no desire to smoke and haven't had bronchitis or any chest infections, the other thing I found is that my peak flow level went from 300-350 to 450-500.
Excellent results! My mom was in her mid 60's when we started vaping and she loved it. Quit smoking. She already had COPD/emphasema and she was disappointed when her peak flow levels didn't improve noticeably. But I feel like it really increased her quality of life and gave me more time with her. She passed about a year and half ago from non-respiratory issues.
I would get bronchitis every 3 to 4 months when I was smoking. Been vaping a little over 6 months now and haven't had a bronchitis infection since.

My dad died of lung cancer 1.5 years ago after smoking for 60 years. I had been smoking for 25 years when he died and my mom begged me to stop. I learned about vaping about a year ago and bought a vape kit, but still struggled with getting the amount of nicotine I was used to. I found the Juul and nicotine salts and I have not smoked a cigarette since! My story is not unique, virtually every single person who uses vaping in place of smoking cigarettes is 100% successful in quitting the deadly cigarette habit. The success rate of vaping turning smokers into non-smokers speaks for itself.

Vape System. Currently using Juul Vape.. I'm sure this isn't SO perfect and down the road they may see issues but you know what?? I Vaped at work and never once did others sense bad smell.. I'm REALLY PRO vaper as my Girl has YET to complain about Tobacco odor..
I didn't necessarily want to quit smoking. It was simply inconvenient, dirty, and expensive. I hated going outside in -10 C or below to smoke, people around me hated the smell, and it was costing me $300 a month. I smoke from 14, picked up vaping at 34, and have been smoke free for 9 months. I love how clothes don't linger of cigarette smell, being able to vape indoors at home without having to worry about smell and ashes, and I only spend, on average, $30 a month on e-juice and coils. Health benefits are an added bonus for me. Thus, I fully believe that vaping will save so many lives of smokers, even those who do not necessarily have intentions to quit.
Governments should embrace the technology rather than putting it in the too hard basket. Governments seem to have no issue in expelling the effort and energy required to increase taxes on tobacco "in the name of health" yet when a product comes along that is guaranteed to reduce smoking by far larger factors than a tax increase does.... thet don't want to know about it.
I have just started using one and would love to have some regulations in place to ensure that the products are built to a safe standard and the oils used in them are safe and not being made on the cheap to maximise profits with inferior substances.
Its refreshing to hear experienced health professionals all have a common theme 'that e-cigarettes are FAR FAR FAR FAR healthier than smoking' no matter how you look at it.... end of story.. Great video!.
if youre concerned with the ejuice make your own its just vg pg nic and flavor ingredients easily obtained online and many videos on making it and many recipe sites... you can make your own for a 3rd of the cost of buying in a vape shop
I have stopped smoking tobacco FOUR years ago thanks to E-cigarettes. I do not have any side effects from vaping. I do make my own E-liquids with small dose of nicotine.
i have got side effects and thats ive got a lot more bloody money in my pocket oh and i feel quite a lot healthier
I have recently relapsed after 46 days of my cold turkey cigarette quit. After I went out and bought a packet of cigarettes and started smoking again I was disgusted with myself as I had quit following a bad chest infection. I had heard of e-cigarettes but had never tried them. Yesterday I went to a local vape shop and bought the necessary equipment. I am 58 and have been smoking since I was 15. Cold turkey proved too much of a challenge for me. This has provided me with real hope. Although I do hope to quit entirely eventually.
Brilliant documentary on Vaping & very educational!
God Bless the inventors of e-cigarettes and Vapes!
Wonderful information and personally I’ll never smoke another cigarette again in my life.
Thank you all for your scientific contributions.
Thank you for the well explained video. I just switched from smoking Tabasco for 20 years to Juul recently and feel good about it. The cigarettes taste awful after using Juul
I started smoking at 11. I am asthmatic. I was placed on medications for my asthma that would be uncontrollable around smokers. The medications did not control the asthma. And in my life growing up, the doctors didn't warn family about the affects second hand smoke caused asthmatics.
I too was unaware of the affects smoking had on my asthma.
I am now 47 years old. I smoked a pack a day for 34 years the first time that I quit about 2 years ago. A very stressful situation combined with running out of e liquid hurled me back into smoking as a cigarette was more in reach than e liquid. I found very quickly that my one pack a day prior to quitting the first time turned into almost 2 packs a day.
One night I had woken up in the middle of the night after having dental work done from the pain in my mouth, to an infomercial on tv about vaping. I recalled having successfully quit for 4 months due to that availability.
Prior to this infomercial, I had attempted to quit using many alternatives. Some alternatives combined with others. All the alternatives lead to failure. I tried the patches. They didn't work. I tried the medications. They didn't work. I tried the gum with the patches. That didn't work. I tried the medication with the patches. Again, failure. I started to think that I wasn't going to ever quit. Though I really wanted to. I got tired of spending all my hard earned money on stuff that didn't work. But more tired of spending my money on cigarettes.
It was that infomercial that made me realize that if I had been successful once, maybe I could be successful once again.
The next morning I went in search of a store that retailed that product, as I was interested in starting immediately.
Though the product was far weaker than my average cigarette. It was a solution.
2 days after buying this product, I ran once again out of e liquid. I had a cigarette. To my surprise, that cigarette did not hold the same appeal that it once had for me for so long. Matter of fact, the taste was disgusting by comparison and it brought me no pleasure that it once had.
That date was November 28, 2017. I have not had a cigarette since.
Thanks to vaping, I am successfully an ex smoker once and for all.
On December 1, 2017 I still had 3 packs of cigarettes that I gave away. I will never look back!
Stop trying so hard to ban a healthier alternative. I will not say that it's healthier than having never smoked. But I am already addicted to the nicotine. Consider this, they use a Meth based alternative to combat Meth addiction. What's the harm in a nicotine based alternative to traditional cigarettes?
The government needs to get out of my health, and my life if all they are concerned with is what's in my bank account!!!
I know this is almost irrelevant, but you see people that go to the sauna quite a lot, and of course,
the sauna is filled with water vapor,
but you don't hear stories of people getting injured or getting a disease from inhaling water vapor.
You never heard of people saying that sauna's are bad for you. Right?
I believe Vapes are the future of smoke-like products, it isn't smoking, but the user can't tell the difference,
until they see their health rise from switching from cigs, and also the amount of nice flavors and vape mods.
This video, -along with many others like it-, should be running on a loop in every vape shop on the planet.
I've offered to get several people started with vaping to quit smoking. All of them told me they would just quit on their own and many were afraid of vaping. All of those people are still smoking to this day. It's sad.
I would love love love to quit vaping but I'm so thankful to not be two pack a day smoker. I've gone from 16 milligrams of nic to 3 and I plan to continue decreasing.
I started smoking in 1980 when i was 10 years old, today im 49. At most i smoked 3 pack a day.
In 2017 my father got kidney failure and needed a transplant, i volunteered as donor. The doctors did a whole bunch of medical checks and it didn't looked good but it wasn't bad.
The doctors asked if i smoked and i could only confirm my bad habit. About 1 month in i started vaping, time went on and after about 3-4 month the doctors asked me if i had changed anything in my life because they could see that my blood pressure, lung capacity, heart rhythm had improved by almost 30%. I told them that i stopped the cigarette and started vaping. They looked at me and said, We don't know what is happening but it work, your health is getting better so keep going.
Today i have been vaping for 2 years and i still do my checkups and the doctors love to see that im getting healthier even if i only have one kidney.
So MY advice to smokers around the world STOP SMOKING and START VAPING.
what a fantastic story! thanks for sharing mate.
The most convincing video I’ve ever seen on this topic. It’s like they speak my mind.. Have a hard feeling that a lot of other smokers are gonna be quitting it like me. Stop smoking start vaping... as it’s a SAFER ALTERNATIVE.
I thought this video was going to bash gaping, good to hear these experts opinion.
8:14 that's exactly what happened with me, I bought a vape just to cut down on cigarettes because nearly 2 packs a day at £9 a pop is stupidly expensive, Within a week i'd cut down to 15 a day and a month after that i decided i wanted to quit, I had my last cigarette on the 24th of July and i never want to have another one
@3:50...this lady is incorrect about it needs flavoring in order to attract people to use a vape.
I actually go out of my way to get flavorless liquid.
A local shop in Naugatuck Connecticut used to be able to get it for me.
When they couldn't do it anymore, I went online and have been really happy I found a reliable source.
Zeus is the online company that I get my flavorless vape from.
And they're at a damn good price.
Been smoking for 58 years but gave up about 7 weeks ago because I lost a friend who was a heavy smoker and deteriorated quickly. I am now vaping and so far I don’t miss my cigarettes
She said for most people need the taste.
Sounds a bit bland might want to give a custard or an ry4 flavor a try.
I hear you on the no flavor part. I think she brought it up because some governments are trying to band flavor (as well as educational instructions for how to use, handle and care for the device). I think some governments are getting a lot of pressure from the tobacco industry and big pharma to stop the vaping industry
You kinda just proved her point. The fact that you "go out of your way" to get flavorless liquid is telling. The reason you have to go out of your way is because most ppl prefer flavored which is what most likely attracted them to vaping. Your experience is the minority and doesnt really take anything away from her statement.
But I digress, happy vaping!
This was a really good video. I am glad to see that the U.K. has taken the time to do the research before jumping to conclusions on electronic cigarettes. I quite smoking and went to vaping after trying all the other options to help me quit with no success and in doing so I went from smoking 2 1/2 packs a day to having low levels of nicotine in the e liquids I vape on. Unfortunately I live in the United States and they are really doing whatever they can to demonize vaping and say that it no better than when I was smoking even though after quitting with vaping all the health risks my doctor saw in the past has diminished to the point where they though I had quit smoking completely.
Thank you professionals for putting my mind at ease
I always wanted somthing to replace my habit of smoking and i finally got it vaping replaced it i swear within 1 hour of vaping and i have smoked since I was 9 year old and now im 33 so do the math im greatfull that I found somthing to make me quite just like that and i feel like later on i can stop vaping as well 😄
This video acually shows the facts
Very professional video, good information, trustworthy. VeryNice..
hey i m planning to buy vaperesso revenger kit. the thing i am bit confused is. about charging. i should charge directly with usb or not. or i should use only external charger. and can you plz. help me with battery selections. thnx
If it has external batteries, charge on a seperate charger. Itll extend the life of your batteries and your mod
I love English studies, English people are the only people don’t lie in their documentaries to sell things
i switched almost 5 years ago and would never go back. just would of been nice if vaping was invented many many years ago.
E cigs were invented in thr early 1900's.
@@douglasd327 Yeah! but the problem is that we have been given misleading information about the risks of using e-cigs. Luckily, my eyes were openned four years ago.
I love my flavored cigars, I was smoking 5 or 6 cigars a day. I was starting to have breathing difficulties due to smoking tobacco. I decided to start vaping, my breathing improved dramatically and I still get my nicotine. I have actually decreased my intake of nicotine thanks to vaping. I went from 12% to 6% in a few months.
Any links to documentation
I really like the video and positivity of this video. But I hope this isn't just what vapers want to hear but actually the Truth.
Yeah, nicotine products have a history of being surrounded with lies or false claims. I’ll try and have faith that things turn out alright once there is sufficient research done on its long term effects.
These are the guys that told people smoking was bad for you 15 years before anyone else even acknowledged it.
I would listen to them!
yeah im in that boat too I vape but this people are way too adamant and leave a lot of questions that have clear answer .like if they didnt . For real i understand and i vape i know its better 100 times in short term but what makes them know it wont damage you i mean ive smeked 18 years almost now and now i only vape and weed and i dont care whats gonna kill me but i do feel better . I just find this people too hypnotic . watch again please.
FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONS HARM REDUCTION good god
Smoker for 31 years. Two packages a day. Never had the intention to quit smoking: I love smoking even knowing it kills people, even knowing the lifecycle of tobacco smoke in the body. One day I felt curiosity for all this vaping thing and decided to try it. Well, 8 months without smoking. That's all I can say. It's tasty, it's entertaining, I love all the underworld behind it with all these flavors and coils and mods and stuff. Even one cigarette less that you smoke is a good thing!
After a health scare decided to stop smoking. So stopped, vaping instead. Over 4 months now without a cig. 100% effective for me. And I'd tried several times over the years to give up using other methods.
I mean, even if they were flat out lying, their accent alone is convincing. Lol. Who has ever called a person with a British accent a liar?
Native Americans?
@@thangchanh2932 No, they called them thieves.
The government says that nicotine is the poison. The government should leave this one alone. Nicotine is a drug just like caffeine is a drug or alcohol is a drug.
This is one of the things that the UK gets right. Unfortunately here in the US, we are still battling against politicians who are dependent on money from the big tobacco companies. Seems even our health is politicized by those with big pockets.
I started smoking when i was 13. I'm now 59. I did quit for two years but started again when about 32.
I started using a vape over a year ago and havn't smoked since. I don't have that NEED to smoke cigarettes.
Thanks to the people who invented Vapes. I feel so much healthier.
1 MONTH , no tobacco :D .. only vape .. its awesome..
i smoked a pack a day for 35 years was also a habitual canabis smoker i now dont touch either vaping saved my life
I managed to quit smoking after 26 years with the help of my vape. I have now been completly smoke free for about 7 months.
I cannot believe myself for not being a smoker for nine months already, thanks to vaping.
after 40+ years of smoking i have found vaping a major benefit for me, i cough a lot less, have more energy and i can breathe a lot better, i now have emphesemia and i find vaping so much better for me
Okay!! I live in australia. Nicotine is considered a poison. Therefore you cant buy e liquid with nicotine in australia, its illegal to sell with nicotine.
BUT! You can order it from overseas with nicotine legally in every state but Queensland. I live in queensland 😂.
Also Queensland is the only state where you cant use e-cigs in smoke free zones. Wtf is going on here ppl!! I thought i was in the most laid back state.
Our Government,,, the Libtards and Mr Hunt, Federal minister for health, receive a shit tonne of money from the tobacco industry and lobby groups. As long as this money keeps flowing, they won't have a bar of it,, no matter how positive it may be for your health.
My doctor was the one who told me about e-cig. Knowing my medical, personal history by his own words; some ppl need nicotine. Although not a healthy choice it's better than several alternatives for mitigating stress. He is one of three physicians in North America recognized as an expert among his peers in pain management. A doctor who teaches doctors.
Tobacco companies are headed to the block. Enjoy your last market of consequence; Asia. Sadly,
I can't see an 85 yr old Korean grandma hunkering down in a squat and passing on a proffered open pack of smokes and pulling out a mod and chugging out a fat cloud.
Mmmmmm, Kimchi flavour😋
Thank you for this video...
My story is a bit different -- I came from cigars to vaping. I had a large humidor with a few hundred sticks in it. I liked the craftsmanship, the smoke, the flavor and smell. Now I build my own coils/wicks and DIY juice for that sense of quality craftsmanship. The flavor and smell are excellent, and I smell and feel much better than I did with cigars. :-)
I make my juice with 0.5mg nic, mainly for the possible neuroprotective benefits.
what flavor? tobacco?
