If vape gets banned probably they get nicotine gum. The only thing i see is bad (I respect your opinions and questions), of vape is that nicotine isnt controlled in concentration of the solution like nicotine gum. Nicotine does have side effects on the brain and epigenetics are currently studying substance abuse, such as loss of concentration when a buzz and if it should be used with driving for it could distract them. Also, you could research for sources if you want and how brains have normal levels of nicotine and lessen when taking nicotine products as brain becomes dependent on it. Remember, just to solve problems, save lives then improving lives. ;)

They get it closer to right than most major media. At least they are not calling vaping bad and equivalent to smoking in terms of negative health effects. I have been vaping for several years now and lets be real, vaping is not risk free. Until long term real world studies are completed we will not know how hazardous it is, but it is far better in the short term than smoking.
TheWraithkrown Risk Free? What’s risk free? Driving a car? Flying? Sports? How about drinking, eating spicy foods or breathing? I’m getting sick and tired of all the hyper sensitive talk about all the risky things in life. As if otherwise we’d live forever.
I agree Bodhi1satva. Life is about risk assessment. Remember, I am not the enemy:) I am just pointing out that risk is a part of it. In any debate, public or personel, it is important to recognize the facts. People will respect you more when you can admit the problems with your point of view and still convince them that your point has merit. When it comes down to it nicotine is really not anymore dangerous than caffeine. The danger comes into play with the delivery mechanism. With vaping, while the ingredients are safe for consumption, to my knowledge there have not been studies done on inhalation of the majority of the ingredients. Some of the ingredients that have been used in vaping have been proven to have inhalation risks. Diacetyl is not used much in vaping anymore but used to be and in very high quantities has caused problems in the food preparation industry. There is debate over whether the small amount used in E-liquids would cause problems or not. We are past the point where we can just ignore it and hope it does no harm. It is in all of our best interests for these studies to be done.
TheWraithkrown I don’t disagree with testing or the idea of risk assessment. I disagree with propaganda and the hype of those attempting to regulate or legislate choice. Haven’t we learned enough about the failures of past with prohibitions on alcohol and marijuana? I make my own e-liquids for the very purpose of choosing what chemicals I vape, what flavors I like and how much if any nicotine I add. I build my own coils and if needed I’m sure I could build a mech mod. So I will likely not be effected when the moral majority get their way. Personally I’m just fed up with this incessant need of those who wish to control behavior that is none of their business. Those are my enemies. Besides where was all this hype when doctors sold us on adding menthol or camphor to “Vaporizers” for colds or the same machines used for humidifiers or facials?
A year ago, after a doctor had told me about my serious condition, I was able to quit smoking because of vaping products. Simply put... Vaping saved my life!

I was 13 when I started smoking cigarettes... I smoked up until about 5 years ago... SO roughly 25 years... I vape pretty much 0 nic stuff now... I vape because I enjoy the act of smoking, and it keeps me from eating when I am bored or need to take a break from the crap going on around me. SO while yes I don't condone the use of Vaping for teens, I would rather see a teen vaping then smoking...

I smoked for over 50 years and quit in one day when i started vaping and that was 5 years ago. I did a lot of research before I started vaping to make sure I wasn't going to doing something more harmful or about the same. I can say the benefits over smoking are tremendous. Health is greatly improved.

Totally agree with Nicole Crumley. I smoked for 31 years. Started vaping (exclusively) in 2011 - if you don't believe me that I'm healthier, please ask my doctor. She'll tell you the same thing.
My father passed away a couple years ago but I got him started on ecigs for about 5 yrs before he passed and I could see the quality of his last years improve dramatically. I used to not be able to carry on conversations with him due to his COPD and aggressive coughing fits. After starting ecigs that went away for the most part and breathing improved. He passed due to his 20yr battle with prostate cancer and not his COPD. I quit in 2010 and even though I started on 24mg eliquid I am now down to 12mg and have biked 40mi rides when I used smoke a pack a day and get shortness of breath after a few flights of stairs. That is all the proof I need, even though there's plenty out there including the UK health study stating they are at least 95% healthier.

Thank you for this report. I quit smoking by Vaping. I started smoking at the age of 15. I didn’t start smoking because of the pretty colors on the boxes or the multiple flavors that were offered. No, it was because my friends did it and I wanted to fit in. I smoked for nearly 15 years and I tried everything to quit. It wasn’t until I tried vaping, almost 2 years ago, that I finally quit smoking and never looked back. I breathe better. I don’t get winded like I used to during physical activity. I taste and smell things better. My overall health has improved. Vaping has saved my life. I hope that more reports like this one make their way into mainstream media so that people can see the truth about vaping instead of relying on the fear mongers’ version of the truth.

As someone that works in the vape industry I’m glad a video like this is out there that stays away from big media misdirection. However the “side effects” caused by nicotine was a bit misleading from the guy from the FDA. Nicotine IS harmful. These “side effects” include high blood pressure and nicotine can really effect the heart and the brain. These products should not be in the hands of younger audience or those who have never smoked cigarettes. The very useful thing about vapes is #1 the non combustion that happens when lighting a cigarette. #2 using oils that are found in most household products such as the Propylene Glycol (Found in Albuterol inhalers and breathing treatments) vegetable glycerin (found in most bake able foods such as cake mix etc.) and artificial flavorings and sweetener. #3 the ability to regulate the amount of nicotine dosage. The industry has been under a lot of heat in the past months due to the JUUL and as much as I want to blame them THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH UNDERAGE VAPING. One thing my shop prides is strict ID’ing at the door. We monitor everything that goes on in the parking lot and in the shop to make sure no underage sell attempts go unseen. The biggest vape companies the the FDA has relied on to help end this craze are the companies a lot of vape shops won’t even carry which are the gas station vapes. It’s really easy to go into a busy gas station and order a pack of mango flavored pods and $20 on pump 6. These devices should be stripped from these gas stations until ABC board regulates it safe for selling.

Can't tell adults what to do... Why blame the woman?
These were my exact thoughts and feelings
If vape gets banned probably they get nicotine gum. The only thing i see is bad (I respect your opinions and questions), of vape is that nicotine isnt controlled in concentration of the solution like nicotine gum. Nicotine does have side effects on the brain and epigenetics are currently studying substance abuse, such as loss of concentration when a buzz and if it should be used with driving for it could distract them. Also, you could research for sources if you want and how brains have normal levels of nicotine and lessen when taking nicotine products as brain becomes dependent on it. Remember, just to solve problems, save lives then improving lives. ;)

Umm I'd rather my teen use ecigs than smoke cigarettes like I did at 13... The difference is nothing. I started without the influence of any flavoring. Teens and everyone on the Earth should have a CHOICE!!!! WHO DOESN'T LIKE FLAVORS?! Oh yeah, teens just switched to black and milds when the flavors got messed up.
I saw birthday cake flavored vodka in the store the other day, are we not going to ban that too?

Some of the oils they use in Vape juice are the same ones found in inhalers

Why can’t they ever get this story right? Not all eliquid contains nicotine. Much less the same amount of nicotine. I switched to vaping, after 30 yrs of smoking tobacco, over 3 yrs ago. No one I know encourages or sells vaping to kids.
Right? I have never experienced anybody trying to sell vape products to kids .. it all started with this JUUL advertisement thing .. if anything blame JUUL for their advertising ..
I'm a teen an I vape 0 nic. I do it for the flavor, and it cut my soda consumption down. Dont know if it's any better but I'm def taking in less sugar.
That's good considering how many spoonfulls of sugar are in one can of soda. Better for your pancreas and your teeth.
We know damn well that obesity kills, but I don't see the FDA coming down on the food industry for marketing sugar to children.
Used to drink way too much soda, now only drink water
FDA: Ban vaping bc it's attracting kids
Also FDA: Promote liquid cancer in a can to everybody making it look cool and awesome with it's "crisp" flavors
Hopefully making your own juice as well which is much healthier knowing what's going into it. Much cheaper in the long run with 30ml costing $1 or less to make if buying in bulk.
I smoked for over 50 years and quit in one day when i started vaping and that was 5 years ago. I did a lot of research before I started vaping to make sure I wasn't going to doing something more harmful or about the same. I can say the benefits over smoking are tremendous. Health is greatly improved.

The teens who vape would most likely smoke cigarettes if there wasn’t any vapes so it is a better risk than teens using cigarettes
Adults like flavors too! Vapping can save a smokers life.
Ecigarettes saved my life!! It's about time someone clears the air on them.
At 6:15, I call BS on her being "about the children". How is is being for the children, when you don't care if their cigarette smoking parents are denied access to something that's helped millions of people quit smoking? Maybe she should reevaluate who is actually voting for her. Last time I checked, those children aren't doing the voting, but the very adults who she is "less concerned about".
And most kids who start smoking get their first cigs by swiping then from their parents. Less adult smokers = less teen smokers.

Vaping is way safer than smoking hands down.
yet It is still very unhealthy overall
@@AbstractEnergy321 "very" is a stretch. PHE research has them saying that vaping is 95% safer than smoking cigarettes. Of course the jury is still out on long term life long effects.
Very unhealthy? So are cheeseburgers. If i had to wager a bet, id say someone who eats healthy and vapes all every day will outlive someone eating fast food for every meal.
Vaping was the only way that I was able to quit smoking! Haven't smoked in over a year now. I can smell again, breathe easier, jog, and I don't stink like smoke or taste of ash. Vapes have been a god send! If not for vapes, I'd still be smoking $10 pk nasty cigs which I no longer enjoyed using.
The problem with the tobacco industry new product is that those cigarettes still contain the seven thousand harmful chemicals in them and even if you’re not burning them you’re still inhaling them unlike vaping which just has a handful of ingredients.
2 years no cigarette. 25 years tried but this really helped and got the job done
I quit smoking by picking up vaping, I slowly reduced my nicotine level and a week before a vacation I went to zero nicotine then didn't vape for the trip. Now free of vaping and smoking.
I smoked for 35 years. Nothing I did could help me quit until I tried vaping 2 years ago. Now I haven't smoked since.
Vaping is fantastic!
Teens drink alcohol...

Yes! Ban the better things so kids can resort to life threatening cigarettes rather than fruity and sweet almost harmless vapor. I'm not saying kids should vape, but don't they think it's better when kids start experimenting with these stuff, they rather do it with vaping and not cigarettes? I say ban cigarettes but we all know what that will turn into.

Yes, it attractive to teens, but so was Carmen Electra when I was 13. Even then I knew she was for older people.
A lot of kids smoke cigs when they are around 15 anyway. I would rather see them with vape.
I will just say Im 17 and been vaping about 2 years. As a keen mountain biker I have not noticed any effects on my fitness and no other side effects. Im sure long term use will eventually have an impact but I can imagine in comparison to cigarettes If i had been smoking for 2 years my fitness would have had a huge down turn. On top of this I find vaping is a very social activity to do with mates which is also a big plus. This is why personally I have no intension of stopping in the near future.
I’m a former smoker of 15 years and tried several times to quit smoking. I tried the gum, patch, and Chantix with no results. I picked up a small starter quit and instantly quit. I’m smoke free for over 3 years and vaping is now my hobby. I enjoy making my own ejuice and now involved with the vape community which happen to be awesome people. The vaping community is a big reason why I’m still smoke free.

All i can say is dont start vapeing if your not a smoker because it wired my brain in less than 3 puffs
After 25 yrs. Of smoking I was able to quit via vaping. Dr. Says my lungs sound like that of a non smoker now. It's been 4 yrs.
