Detroit Diesel Two Stroke 6V92TA Translink 1991 New Flyer D40 Suburban V3110 - 2010 Winter Olympics

This is a night time ride aboard CMBC / Translink 1991 New Flyer Industries model D40 no. 3110 on route 15 Cambie from Marine Drive to Broadway during the 2010 Winter Olympics in February of that year. Bus is powered by the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and the Allison HTB-748 transmission. All of these buses have since been retired.

Damn I never thought I’d miss these buses but I really do. It’s quite different going to North Van and seeing the Novabuses driving around knowing that growing up in the early 2000’s that was New Flyer D40 territory.
