  • Here's your opportunity to ride on a Translink New Flyer D60 (B3009) along one of the busiest corridor within the transit system - the 99 B-Line along Broadway! This bus is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and an Allison HTB-748 transmission

Well sadly for me I got into the hobby with buses too late. Ive never ridden in a bus with a 6V92TA engine. What I have missed!!! If I could find one of these to ride somewhere, I would ride it all day.

I like transit alot when I was a kid but my hobby for buses didn't start until 2012.

Good engines but they struggled when put into heavy buses. Bus had to be light for that engine to power, but it sounded hella good.

Nice video, I prefer the sound of the 6V92TA with the ZF HP-500. I guess it's because I grew up riding MT's D60HFs which had that combo.

@lpcmidst128 I agree with you. Thats why they are my favorite engine because the sound very exotic and unique instead of a series 60 for example. I also have asperger syndrome so I tend to obsess about certain things. Although I kinda like cummins engines too. They have a pretty cool sound.
