- Hello, and welcome back to the channel!
Thanks to internal sources, I was able to chase down NovaBus LFSe+ #23201 on its inaugural run on route 100. This bus, part of the Pan-Canadian Electric-Bus Demonstration and Integration Trial, is the first of its type in revenue service across the US and Canada.

ADDENUM - this video was corrected owing to a previous mistake claiming that this the first slow-charge bus in the US/Canada. This claim belongs to the Proterra ZX5, a rehash of their Catalyst BE40.
It's fitting that the buses on route 100 are 100% electric.
I personally feel like trolleybuses were snubbed in this promotion. How do you feel?
yeah, the giant "100% electric" sign on the side of the bus makes it seem like its a new thing when we've have trollies doing that for YEARS.
…since the past 74/75 years
Yup, BEBs require big batteries so they’re not actually good for the environment, trolleys on the other hand are much better and seemed to be thrown aside by Translink alot
I hope the advertising wrap over some of the windows is a short-term thing. When I lived in Ontario, some of the buses were wrapped with advertising and it made them dark as caves and very unpleasant to ride in.
Yeah - when we had the double decker demos here, they wrapped the entire thing (including windows on both floors). Eventually maintenance had to remove the wrap on the window nearest the front doors due to safety reasons.
Awesome video! 👍👍
It rubs me the wrong way that they had to use this wrap for the bus. Why not blue and yellow?
We are getting LFSe+ buses for Halifax Transit hopefully somewhat soon, I saw one the other day but they were just doing a test ride.
I wonder why they changed the number from 22101 to 23201? If it was built in 2021, why doesn’t have a number like 21301?
Well the MTA's 100 steps ahead-of what ever city ur in. No hate... I frkin love those busses. Big wide doors, cool seats, and nice smell when fresh out of factory.
the city is Vancouver.
Here in The Netherlands we are 10,000 steps ahead. (No hate, love to see how other city’s/ countries are doing with e buses)
