Right, I knew the 1st one and was so proud of myself. I knew something Fusion 360 knows. But, then, He showed the rest and I was back to my normal "I know nothing about Fusion 360. I have no idea why he doesn't have more subscribers. He shows many tips. Very clearly and fast. No fancy splash screens or annoying music. Just real help.

With that first tip, the same applies to the Move tool, but there is no option to move to a vertex, edge, or plane specifically, so it's always non-parametric. The Align tool should be used instead, as it retains parameters.

Somehow I didn't know about offset in extrude to object and about extend option. Thank you.

After years of using F360 and modeling thousands of things I have recently picked up a bunch of new knowledge about it thanks to Fusion 360 School's videos. He really explores all the features. I was astounded to find out what I didn't know!

Referencing the action at 4m17s - what is the best practice workflow for putting a pattern of holes like that on a cylinder? A second and related question - what if I wanted the holes to be hexagonal instead of round? Should I be using patterns of the holes on the cylinder, sketch patterns I then wrap/emboss, or something else entirely?
I ask because for at least a couple weeks now I've been working on creating a cylindrical screen/sieve trying combinations of the above but Fusion 360 is angry with me because of all the vertices and takes 30-36 hours to unfreeze from each operation.

have you tried the automated modeling? it's pretty fast and works well
at least in a setup similar to the example
