I think it goes without saying but the point of this video is not really to create a functional hook. To do that, a few simple extrudes would have sufficed. This is more of a surfacing exercise to achieve a challenging transition. Perhaps in a future non-trivial design, a similar aesthetic might be required where this workflow could be applied. Hope this is helpful!
I have the same question. His movements are always so smooth, but it's not apparent on-screen how he's making those movements while the pointer cursor remains stationary.
Thank you for posting this! I struggled with this for quite a while. In fact, I practically gave up and ignored it for a while. It was only last week that I decided to give it another go. I am always hesitant to upload full models due to a number of reasons. Did you face any trouble following the video?
. @Fusion360School I asked for the complete model because though I'm proficient in 360. I never wonder outside SOLID. I'm a bit offput by SURFACE and MESH tabs. I didn't have enough time at first watch to follow along in 360. I will rematch when I have more time to follow along with as fine toothed comb. But very much appreciate your effort.

I only wish I knew 1 tenth about F360 as Fusion 360 School does. Thanks again.
Your tutorials are very good, thank you!
You are really amazing! I like your videos so much and I learn a lot of them. I now use commands I never used before.
Weldon sir
fantastic tutorial!
bravo.
so happy you are exist! Thinks you!
Very neat. I need to use surfaces more, I tend to do nearly all of my modelling in the solid panel, which would be impossible for this design.
Surface techniques are tough!
7:46 mind blown when you rotated
Good tutorial. Love to see more surface technique videos. Very helpful, thank you!
Amazing this lecture sir
Very neat. At the end it is necessary to combine the 2 bodies
Beautiful work!
so elegant!
Wow such a nice explanation!
Nice workflow.
Very well done! Thx!
no need last splite,mirror directly
It wasn't easy one... nice job
Thanks...Buy a coffee
Good day, may I know how he is rotating the view without moving his mouse? Is that some kind of accessory?

@@mvrkmi I'm using a 3D mouse.
I couldnt shell like you. Can you please tell what could be the reasons? Thank you.
HA HA! That was my question!!! I never figured it out:-) Thanks. Could you upload the finished model as well? Thanks as always.

@@FilmFactry I've found it very helpful to try to recreate these videos step by step. Has really taught me a lot.
Does anyone know a good guide, free or not, for fusion 360? RUclips or web! Thanks
нельзя упрощать показ производимых операций. ибо не понятно что было сделано в каждом этапе.
