Thanks so much for checking out my Reddit post and making this video! I’m not used to surface modelling so will definitely be getting onto that now! This was great to see and glad it wasn’t a straight forward model to make. I trued a few methods but kept getting effects I didn’t want. A life saver of a video!
So it’s a rubber speaker stand that I needed to recreate from 3D printed TPU, I ended up 3D scanning the part as I couldn’t get the shape quite right to match the original one.
Nice work. The curvature when viewed from the front seems like it's an arc, and might fit a larg urn. How about cuting away the top of the square block with a revolve command?
This seems promising. I attempted to revolve with the sketch profile that was used to create the side cut but it cut the solid in a weird way. I probably need to adjust the profile to make it work.
Fusion deperately needs an upgrade to the sketch environment. Sketches are fundamental to using the program, and yet so poorly implemented that the program becomes unstable, erratic and inconsistent. I don't think Autodesk put their best programmers on this product

Glad to help. Always a pleasant surprise to see OPs respond to these videos. If you don't mind me asking, what is that thing?

Good to see your subscription numbers climbing. Very much deserved. As always, a clear and thoughtful presentation.

Thanks for sharing. It would be useful to compare the resulting surface curvatures with isocurve analysis
Thank's
Muito obrigado pela aula!
Great tips! I don't think I have every used the "replace face" tool, looks like it could be useful for some of my projects.
Could this be done in freeform with some measurements to control things?
Thx!!
