Hi. I’ve bought the exact same setup. Can you tell me how you attached the AOC monitor to the single stand plate. Did you have to pull off the back of the monitor to access larger screw points? I have the universal monitor attachment. But don’t seem to have the right screws
@@danielsimpson8385 Hi Daniel, I believe I bought separate screws for this (M8 bolts I believe they're called), but I don't have a separate attachment, I just used the single monitor stand that comes with the rig and screwed straight into the back of the standard monitor backing plate - hope that helps!
@@SolidSL510 Honestly, I’m not too sure, I’ve not had any experience with the buttkickers, but I believe the fitting is fairly universal to a cylinder tube, so I would imagine you could fit it on - although there isnt a huge amount of room under the seat.
Your cockpit is very solid for the kind of base you have, no complaints there. Where you could improve without upgrading or spending money would be maybe adjusting where your monitor sits. If you could, it would be worth it to essentially put that monitor right over top of your CSL DD
What was the total cost of importing all this? If you have issue's do you have to send it back to Fanatec? If so what are the costs of exporting and then importing back to the UK?
Hey, there was no import cost, it was included in the price for Fanatec gear and TrakRacer is UK-based anyway. I’m not too sure on the cost of exporting it out if it’s faulty as I haven’t sent anything. I would however note Fanatec’s customer service isn’t the greatest, but their products seem to be pretty well built and I haven’t had any real problems. Hope that’s of some help! :)

Hello Matt, I would like to know how much the TR8 pro weighs without the screen please ? I would like to know if it can be easily moved from my living room where is the large TV to another room where I will stow it when I will not drive. Thank you !
Hey Lenso, it’s pretty heavy at 80-90kg. Although it’s fairly compact and slim. It has rubber feet on the bottom so I’d maybe look if you can get some caster wheels for it maybe?
@@MattWildbore Yes if you can take a look if caster wheels can be screwed to the rubbers if they are stiff enough ? Thank you. Otherwise I will have to look at other rigs that are 60 centimeters wide to pass doors as the tr8 pro does and which are compatible with caster wheels. The problem is that aluminum profile rigs looks too wide to pass doors.
Hello, do you think that the csl dd base can be mounted by it's top ? Under the metal plate mount. Because in your video the wheel is really too high and I would like to know if I can install mine way lower than yours. Thank you.
There are no screw holes on the top, So it would have to be mounted upside down which I’m not sure if you can do due to the calibration. Maybe have to check with Fanatec
@@jcbwracing Hello, yes it stretches unfortunately, consoles don’t support extra wide displays. It’s just something I’ve got use to now. Looks odd at first, but quite immersive when you’re on the rig

@@MattWildbore perfect. I thought so, thanks for the quick reply. 🙏🏽
How did you mount the GT DD Pro to the Tr8 just recieved my tr8 and was wondering
Let’s hope PlayStation does updates soon for widescreen scalings, would be a major update for the sim community. 🤞🏽
For sure man! Can’t wait until that happens… if it ever will?!
Nice review. However I did notice your seat mount is in reverse. The taller end should be in front.
Thanks! Ahh yes, you are correct, I best get that swapped around - good to have an eagle-eyed viewer watching 😂
Nice review, the TR8 pro is my next rig so compact

Thanks and yes, that’s a good point, I think I can turn the mount around so it’s closer to the wheel base, thanks for the tip!
u can flip the wheel bracket make the steering wheel lower. The monitor plate could be flipped also to make the screen closer to u.
Ah amazing, thanks for the comment - that's interesting - might have to look into that, especially with the monitor!
@@MattWildbore btw how did you mount your monitor? I just got that integrated stand and the plate that came with it had huge holes in it/
@@tktk6927 I think I had to get some additional large washers to cover the diameter of the holes. Will double check and let you know :)

Just wanted to ask if you had any issue with your monitor, does it stretch the screen and does your ps5 support a 34 inch monitor
Yes, there is some screen stretch unfortunately as consoles don’t support ultrawides yet
Kewl set up pal. Loving the videos
Thanks Wayne! :)
I did notice...but that's okay, I've had a few go's on it! 👌🏻
Damn guys… she found it!
Great setup mate 👍
Thanks Ryan!
Looks great , howerver seeing the wheelbase mounted from the bottom and not from the sides feels not the perfect option

you have installed the seat mounting brackets the wrong way.
I know haha, someone else pointed that out, I’ve flipped them now :)

Was gonna say. I noticed on another vid, someone did that too. Nice position you'll have now tho! 😉
Would you happen to know TR makes a triple monitor attachment to goes on the side of the monitor stand you have there?
I think they do, but it’s a separate item that stands off the rig and on the floor

Wide screen isnt support by GT7.. or is it?
Your seat brackets are around the wrong way...tall section goes to the front. ;)

I have hoplite s8 infinity, very similar
Just put a false wall next to it and paint it orange. It’ll keep out the window light too. 😂
