I bought the x2t back in Oct. Prayers answered. My old x1t was too cumbersome and it had bugs that never got fixed. Here comes the x2t. Never looked back.
Picked up a Godox flash for my XT-20 and have been trying to decide between those three triggers. Great job keeping it simple and easy to understand for a photography newbie like myself : )
Ended up buying this and the SK400II based on this review and a bit of my own research, have been ridiculously happy with Godox, and am about to get a couple of more Godox flashes because they're compatible natively.
Good review, simple and very informative. I ordered Godox TT350s and X2Ts as a bundle and I am happy I did, because as I see here it is an improved model. It is first time I use Godox products. The build quality and materials are not as good as Canon or Nikon flashes, but for the price you can't ask more. Overall I am happy with Godox and looking forward to add more of their products in my kit.
Great video. Another pro with the x2t is that you can see it by moving the camera forward a bit. With the Pro you need to totally take your focus away from the camera, look at the top of the display, then reframe. That could be a bit of a killer if you've got an amazing shot which isn't well lit
i hope godox will soon make a mini transmitter. w ith just a on/off...+/- button to adjust light power if needed. i like to use the flash off camera as fill so that the lights can be near the subject even when i am standing further away( and in broad dayligth every inch of light counts!), all of the transmitter are too big to be kept on the camera permanently. a mini one would be a great addition for travel to the line of transmitter.
I use the XProF for my Fuji-film xt-2. It was a little fiddly. However, I like that the screen can be enlarged to show the main info. I prefer this over the models from GODOX. I'm a huge fan of GODOX. Their stuff just works.
Can you still recall the battery life of this trigger? I've been searching for tons of reviews of this trigger but literally NONE of them goes through the battery life. How long would a pair of 3000 mah AA battery last with an X2T? Do I really need to bring spares along with me?
X2T will be my next trigger, I have the x1t have not served me well. I have a lot of miss fire with the x1t and the xpro died on me this week. I ordered another xpro but I order the x2t .
Just got a x2t. Been using x1t and something weird w the x2t. Subject is my white cat, w x1t, images comes out tack sharp(Fuji 56/1.2@f4) but when I switch to x2t, images were softer and quiet often slightly oof. I know it doesn't make sense but I kept switching between the 2 transmitter firing a v860iii and results were consistent. Images using x2t were softer and require dehaze to match that if x1t. Anyone knows what is happening?
merci pour la video. QUESTION : peut on commander le X2T depuis un GODOX 350s ? par exemple en mettant le X2T sur un flash de STUDIO via LACK 3,5... Merci
I’ve just seen your review and I have three questions about X2T : 1 - Do you know how to set the on-board flash (the flash on top of the transmitter, I’m not an English speaker)? I couldn't find any information about it :( 2 - On the page 47 from the Manual they are saying about the TCM Function (Transform the TTL shooting value into the output value in the M mode). How to use/activate it? 3) - Is there any special setting to activate that "Mode" function pressing repeatedly on the group's buttons (Min. 5:50')? Thank you in advance :)
Honestly, I never use the hotshoe on the transmitter. Whenever I'd need that, I just have another of the Godox flashes on my camera as they are transmitters too.

Hello. Do you now if you put a flash on the top hot shoe of this X2T it will take the “group A” settings of the X2T even it is not set to slave mode or it runs separately as a single unit? Second question is if a flash runing on the top hot shoe of this X2T fires if the X2T is turned off? Thank you!

thanx for the awesome tutorial Brian! You sold me on the X2t. Would you know if it's compatible with a Nikon SB-800 speedlight? A camera store salesman near me told me it wasn't compatible, but when I checked online, I think it is... because it says it's "an intelligent iTTL system". I was told that the TTL function won't work, only work in manual.... aRg. I appreciate you time, take care!
Thanks for the review and comparison. The X2T doesn't seem to have a TCM function compared to the XPro does it? Unless I've missed it. That would be the main thing I'd want to improve because otherwise the X2T would be better in every other way.
@@Brianized how exactly would one access this function on the X2T? I can't seem to see anything in the manual or online. It only lists it as possibly available on p47 of the manual but is slightly ambiguous because other features have "yes" checked next to the feature, but for TCM it doesn't say "yes" but explains what TCM does. But I don't know if this is saying it does have it or simply explaining its function.
@@CitySteadingBrews I am thinking it is misinformation because although on sites like Amazon in some descriptions it says it's an available feature, when you look in the manual there is nothing to explain how to actually achieve this, at least as far as I can see. And in other RUclips reviews or even detailed user guides for the X2T it never explains how it can be actually done or that it is actually a feature of the flash trigger. When compared against the XPro in video reviews they always say that TCM isn't available on the X2T. So I am not sure why some sites list TCM in their descriptions with nothing to support this, and as mentioned, even the technical specifications on p47 of the manual is somewhat ambiguous and could also easily mean that it is not actually a feature since it doesn't have a "yes" next to it but just says what TCM does. Perhaps that ambiguity is causing the misinformation.
I have different opinion. I used the xt1 as a receiver n the godox pro as a transmitter. It was easier to follow the directions. Xt2 am still trying to make it work. Might return in a few days
Heyy how are you? The hot shoe on my sony a6500 camera broke. Is there a way to use a cable that sends from the body to a trigger and what brands are there? It seems to me that in Canon and Nikon there is a cable that sends from the body of the camera to the trigger with a cable. HELP
