Thx a lot. I use the XproN. Simple to use and far better then the X1T. I like to work with Godoxflashes. Great value for money.

Awesome video!!! I got the Flashpoint version of the XPro (R2 Pro Mark II C) to activate two Flashpoint round head flashes (Zoom Li-on X R2 TTL Speedlight). I can only imagine the possibilities

From what I’ve heard, purchasing through a retail outlet under a branded version offers some security if things need to be addressed. So I like the flashpoint option, too.

@@edverosky BTW I love the way you explained it all: clear voice, easy to understand without getting too technical (at least in my opinion). Thank you for sharing

Let me know if you can figure out how to make the X2T Sony’s AF Assist light work with Sony A7 series (it looks like that is your camera, and mine too). SURELY the big advantage of moving from infrared AF Assist with the X1T to visible light with the X2T was that it would work with Sony cameras (which have an IR filter and hence couldn’t work with an IR AF assist light). I bought the X2T and my first attempts to make AF Assist work are unsuccessful. Cheers

Any one know if you can use any model specific flash on the hot show of the X1 or X2? I have a Nissin i400 for Fuji and need to know if it will work on the X1/X2 triggers fro Fuji. Or does the hot shoe on them only work for Godox flashes? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, as long as you use the SONY version of the XPro, you're good to go.

Does the X2T have a PC sync port?
I do love my X-Pro-N, it's (in my opinion) much, much better than the X1T- N, minus not having a PC Sync port. Unfortunately the PC Sync is something I use with a few different triggers, so I'll have to buy another X1T-N (I sold my old one when getting the XPro) to use those triggers. Unless I can figure a workaround anyhow. That said, otherwise the X-Pro is the best I've used.

It has ATG Bluetooth & ATG PC SYNC IN 2.5MM.
ATG disabled the Bluetooth on X-Pro.

Is it easy to set any of these to not use TTL and HSS at the same time? The Canon R5 has an issue with these units where it just uses full power when using TTL+HSS. But to me this would not be an issue if I can just have HSS always disabled. It's not needed for what I want to shoot.

Just got a x2t. Been using x1t and something weird w the x2t. Subject is my white cat, w x1t, images comes out tack sharp(Fuji 56/1.2@f4) but when I switch to x2t, images were softer and quiet often slightly oof. I know it doesn't make sense but I kept switching between the 2 transmitter firing a v860iii and results were consistent. Images using x2t were softer and require dehaze to match that if x1t. Anyone knows what is happening? All on ttl

Godox flashes have inbuilt 2.4G receivers. So nothing is required to attach - just set it in the flash menu.

  • @MTimWeaver

the one thing the X1-T has that I don't think the X2 has, and the X-Pro does not (I have X1 and X-Pro units) is a PC flash connection. It's the reason i won't get rid of the two X1 units I have, because I can use them with my TLR or 35mm SLRs that don't have a hot shoe to shoot in studio with off-camera flash.

    • @H3XIUS
      @H3XIUS 3 года назад +2

Yup. After I upgraded to an X-Pro trigger I realized that. I have a couple setups that need a PC Sync connection, so I have to buy another X1T-N. Whoops. (edit: or X2T, I forgot that existed until Ed brought it up in the video)

Thanks or your round-up. The X2T isn’t very intuitive IMHO. For instance, I bought it to a studio that had Godox lights, but they used them on a different channel. I couldn’t figure out how to change the channel on my trigger - there isn’t a dedicated button. In the end, I had to change the channel on all the lights. I also own the other two triggers, which are pretty easy to use - although setting up stroboscopic flash on any of them isn’t very intuitive.

Anyone please chime in of this question:
Does your model has a true ATG top mount true TTL hotshoe (ATG TTL/TCM)?
Over 94% of the X2Ts does not have ATG TTL & ATG TCM
I was lucky one X2Ts has ATG Bluetooth, ATG TTL, ATG TCM functions & fully compatible with ATG/Canon/Jinbei/Orlit/Westcott/Rollei. And best that it has three neat features: ATG/Canon/Profoto/Sony RT systems
