You are the easiest person to listen to. It's like my big sister is explaining life to me in bits and pieces. Thank you for talking to us, your videos are sweet therapy.
IMPress Nails already have the sticky tabs attached to them and it’s so easy to apply and remove them. Lots of variety in styles and the nails last for at least two weeks for me. A great tutorial Alex. I appreciate the helpful tips. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🦘💅🏻
Your videos are always so fun to watch. And a big thank you again for your last declutter video when you just got real with us. Your chat while cleaning was just so perfectly organic and natural. I was doing my own makeup and getting ready for work while watching and listening to that video and it just put me mentally into the perfect place to face the day. I feel that people really don't understand the pressures faced by RUclips celebrities, and I'm glad you're able to stay true to yourself (with just a little help from a therapist). Your genuine frankness is so refreshing, so thank you for sharing!
I just tried Olive & June press-ons right before xmas - I just wanted cherry red nails for the holiday and didn't want to bother with gel polish, etc. I was super impressed with them, they stayed on for 10 days and I had to remove them after a shower, I think they would have continued to stay on honestly. My only compliant is that I need short/xtra short and they didn't have a huge selection at Walgreens/Walmart.
Last month I went to my manicurist to have my natural nails done just like yours. Had him watch one of your videos for shape details. They came out beautifully
I have been fully influenced by you, bought the black tips, did exactly what you said and they’ve lasted over a week, perfectly, no popping off, so many compliments (which I responded to in the way you did lol) - thank you!
@@AlexandraAnele omg tho girl - literally could NOT get them off! Next time I'll wait until they're literally falling off because no joke it took me like an hour to get them off lol
I’ve switched to clear press ons, using sticky tabs and just put on my own gel nail polish and I’m never looking back! I’ve used BTartbox nails before too and I like them a lot for when I don’t feel like doing my own color/design.
@@KTurra88 yes! Regular polish will work on clear press ons (I order mine from Amazon). I would definitely use a base coat on them first though, otherwise they may chip quicker because of how smooth the press ons are.
They look very pretty, i use the kiss gl ones they do shorts which i prefer and are also softer near the cuticle which makes them more natural looking. Great idea using a spot of glue and applying the pad straight to your own nail first - im going to try that i think it will definitely help keep them on for longer 💅🏻
Hey Alex, long time fan here, I work in a factory and I also love nails but need them to be durable enough to stay on all shift. I LOVE LOVE LOVE dashing diva nail strips. They are pre-cured nail strips. They keep my nails from breaking and help me grow them out
Amazing timing! About to do my own weak-ass nails at home, and your top is giving me baby blue inspo... also your hair looks amazingly FRESH and bright. What a little gem you are!
Happy New Year, Dear Alex!❤ I have been following you for quite sometime now and watch your videos religiously. I am from Bangalore, India. I am 57, and am an actor and a singer. I have introduced my daughters to your channel also. I too have started using press-on nails and yes, they are a lifesaver. 😊. Now that I have seen this video, I am even more pleased, seeing you endorse the same idea! Have a fantastic new year! Bless you!
Alex, I appreciate you *so* much for sharing this brand. I developed a gel nail allergy and had to stop getting my nails done professionally. I’ve had great success with nail wraps and good quality regular nail polish, but my natural nails can only grow so far…BUT NOW…I am staring down at my BTArtbox set floored that I finally found an option for lengthier nails again! TYSM 🥰
Hah! I knew it. I’ve been using this brand for the past few months and thought your nails might be them! I get so many compliments and they look pretty natural and fit well. The French black tipped ones in short are *chefs kiss*!
Great tip! I also stopped using press-on nails, as the glue was wreaking havoc on my brittle nail beds, and I was getting some bruising. The Impress nails treat my nailbeds much kinder, but I'm not too fond of the lifting. There's just no way to get those flush to the cuticle. Ordered some BTArtbox tabs and am excited to wear my pretty nails again soon! Btw, the X-coat nail tips are always perfect 💯
I am excited to try these. I remember trying press-on nails when I was younger but they were stickers and always pop off. I like to keep my nails painted because it keeps me from picking at them when stressed but the polish drys them out.
I am so happy to learn about this because my nails are stubby and I have really veiny manly looking hands LOL I hate it but with nails my whole hand looks way more feminine... Alex is the goat for always predicting things I need to know about before I realize it myself! 😂
Thank you for this nail video! I purchased glue on nails but have not used them yet because I worried about the damage they would do to my nails so now I am ok trying these out since I now know about those clear adhesive strips. Thanks so much
My adhesive strips finally got here. I will be buying your brand the next time before I do my nails. I used Kiss nails and they are beautiful except I found out I cannot watch tv while doing my nails. I actually glued two on the same nail. It is glued tight so hoping no one will notice when I go out. It was harder than I thought but I think it will get better the more I do just like learning to put on false eyelashes. I can’t thank you enough for all the help you have been. You are an inspiration!
Thank you for this, Alex. 🥺 You have flatter nail beds like I do, and this is the first time I've seen someone with my nail type successfully use press ons for an extended period. I haven't really ever been able to grow my nails out (same reason as you!), and I can't afford to get them done. I'm going to try this for my birthday! Thank you! 🥺🩷🫶🏻
Good point about the water. I try to avoid wetting my nails for a few hours before doing my nails. I remember hearing that water causes the nail plate to swell so it can cause the nail to pop off. I usually wipe my fingers down with acetone, then push back cuticles. Then wipe it down with alcohol.
Another big brand for gel press ons I’d recommend is gellae. It’s tabs similar to those you are using but they are semi cured gel tabs with a light that hardens the tab in place to full hardness.
I’m trying the ones from olive and june and so far I think they’re great! They also come with the tabs, you can get them at target, they are cheap but good quality, you can trim them if they’re too long for your taste…
I love dashing diva brand. They have lots of different nail application methods. Stickers, pre painted gel that doesn’t need a light and half cured that needs a light. And they have press on. I have tried all but the press on. Have been very impressed with the kindness to my nails with all the products I have used.
Ive started wearing press on nails last January and i cant believe it took me so long to try them out again. Glamnetic and Impress are definitely my faves!
Whoa. Literally never seen these. So good! 🙌 and the not popping off is everything that’s why I stopped wearing them-so embarrassing when you are somewhere and notice 2 nails popped off 😂 Thanks Alex!! Definitely gonna try. ❤
I'm loving this video so much! I did not know the trick of putting glue on the tabs, that's amazing! I currently use Glamermaid, and I love the designs and everything, especially the "Handmade Gel" ones
10:35 the video freezes for a few seconds here - I think it’s an editing error! Please could you fix?? I was waiting to hear what I should do with the glue residue 😭
I had the same exact nail journey…I have bitten my nails my entire life. I only don’t when they are covered. I started wearing press-on nails in the early 90s. Then started with silk wraps, acrylics with tips, and then about 10 years ago found a place that did acrylics without tips. I wore that for almost ten years until the pandemic. I then started to try to stop biting my nails and growing my own nails. It has been quite the journey. I really don’t bite my nails any more but more like pick at them. I found a channel specializing on natural nails and following her advice I have been able to grow healthy nails, if I keep them really short. I have started wearing press-ons again. But they don’t last long on me…probably because I do dishes without gloves…but they last enough for when I heavenly or have a special occasion. I just got some of the tabs but have not tried them. I am also on a search for new brands. I have been using static nails…a bit on the expensive side. I definitely want to see the suggestions. Thank you for a great video
Does anyone else have a glitch at 10:36 on the video? I'd like to know what you do to get the extra adhesive off. Also it looks like there's excess adhesive tab after you put it on your thumb nail. Do you just clip it off with nail clippers or how do you do that? Also are the adhesive tabs sold separate or do they come with the set? Thank you for the explanations and sharing. ❤

Yes! It was right where she mentioned she got glue on her nail so I think it cut out how she's gets it off her nails. HOW??
