Heyyyy I’m a beginner nail artist and when you use an edrill I really recommend one of the vacuum box’s that u was talking about because otherwise it’s can be bad for your lungs xx
You dont have to drill off the whole set each time. File off & buff the gel polish, then use builder gel to polish over them *which is essentially a fill*, then paint with whatev gel color you want. They last even longer bcause builder gel will strengthen them as well. I'm also a diy'er with 2 little ones. It would otherwise take a million years if it weren't for me filling them
I use gel glue (clear gel glue) and they last longer than base coat...also I soak it off with acetone mixed with warm water and it works faster. They pop right off for me
I just saw your short and ended up on your channel. So this is a much easier way to do nails. I like it. I mean, it seems like it's just not using actual glue and using the gel instead. Also putting feel over top for that more professional look. They're very cool and my old lady hands can't do nails anymore. This looks more durable. I may try this one day when i have some time and money to buy these products. I have LED lamps but they're for Polish so i don't know if they'd work, feeling like I'd need all products from the ground up.
Thank you! Yes, I used normal gel base coat to secure the nail tips so I saved money there! I believe a normal led lamp for gel polish should work. I was told that the best kind is the one with a mirrored bottom on the inside. I’m not sure why! But I used a cheaper led light with an open bottom a few times too, and it seemed to work fine for at home nails. ❤
I am a young girl who does nails I don’t have any clients I do my nails I’m trying to get people to get there nails done but I have to get more advanced at nails first but I like watching these type vids cuz when they do nails either I watch or I watch and do my nails and this helps me understand how to do this type stuff
also when you're done curing the tips you can take acetone and a small brush and go over the tips at the cuticles, this will basically melt and blend the tip with your nail for longer wear🤭
I love watching your videos but a tip I have is you need to use nail glue instead of base coat!! It will make your nails stay on longer !! Beetles brand sells a great one!
I'm not a nail tech, but I understand if you use beetles because it is so affordable and straight on amazon, but be EXTREMELY CAREFUL because beetles isn't very beginner friendly and can cause your natural nail to separate from your nail bed if you get it on your skin, I'm not saying you can't use it, but please be careful.
@ It happens when you get it on your skin and don’t clean it off right away, or you under cure, I happened to me and I luckily recovered, but please be careful
Hey I’m not a professional nail tech but I do do nails and I got a allergic reaction to gel and that’s because I used beetle so yeah no hate on beetles I love the colors and it’s great but like oh and another tip wipe of every sticky layer on the nail before adding a new one
i think you got the reaction from the gel that is not cured properly. i’m not a professional but this is something that has happened to me and ive seen it on tiktok 😭
🚨🚨🚨🚨U should remove the blue foil sticker from your nail lamp metal bottom so it is reflective.. if its hard to remove scratch with scissors to get it start to remove
I also do my nails at home. I stumbled across this video while searching for Gel X tutorials…so glad I watched. You are hilarious!
nail tech here🙋🏼♀️with removal you can also cut off the tip (not the natural nail though), that way you have less to soak and drill off🫶🏼

You can also wear a mask as an alternative

Thanks! I’ll try adding warm water :)
I recommend using gel nail glue because that will make you nails last longer and then use the base coat before u put on the polish
Hi, peel the blue film off the base of your light so the light reflects better for a better cure ❤
I do nail stamping if I want a design. Its a lot easier than freehanding it for me anyway lol. I do gel manicures at home too :)
