- i tried gel x nails for the first time at home as a beginner and i can say one thing...i am HOOKED. i can totally see why people get into this and never go back to the nail salon again ✨ it might have taken me a few hours but it was pretty EASY and affordable! i love y'all and don't forget to drink some water❤️

Was there any damage to your natural nails when you took these off? I tried acrylics years ago and when the acrylic came off, my nails were like paper
I do Gel X and remove gel. I do get damage but unlike acrylics the gel can be soaked off with acetone. It is a lengthy, annoying process usually but if you are patient and do not tear them off or file down to your natural nail, the damage will be minimal.
Acrylic can’t be soaked off so you have to file all the way down which usually damages the nail more.
Any time you even buff the natural nail you are doing some damage though… so this process will do some damage.
What helps is not doing a full removal each time and instead do fills and rebalancing every 2 weeks as needed
