Your application is flawless every time! There's no missing polish on the side of the nail due to your meticulous application and use of the thin brush. It's made me shudder when I see other nail creators with "meh" sides. Keep up the fab work, Kara!
Hi Kara! Love your videos and you’ve been super helpful with helping me get started on my builder gel journy. I bought the Sun UV gel lamp off Amazon and I noticed that when curing the Kokoist Megastick base and Platinum filler base as directed (60-120 seconds), the base gel is still tacky. Is that normal? I wanted to to make sure I’m not undercuring. I applied the colored gel on top of the base gels and that dried completely.
I am so happy i found your youtube. I follow you on tiktok and was wanting a more in depth video on how you do your nails. Question, is it necessary to fully take off your builder gel because i have seen online some people do fills instead? If so can you soak them off, im weary of using the e file so close to my real nails. I dont mind using it to take of color and such but to take it all off that way as a semi newbie kinda freaks me out lol
I never soak off my gel because I hate doing it 😅 I do my nails every few weeks and do fills. You can do fills with a hand file instead of efile it just will take longer. If you’re interested in learning my exact process in depth, I’d recommend checking out my efile basics course or my advanced gel manicure course (which teaches you how to use the efile for fills & cuticle work and also apply builder gel - the exact process I do every few weeks!) karanailedit.com/collections/karanailedit-courses
i always remove my gel in forward! It does depend on how you hold your hand/how you are moving your bit though. You want to make sure the rotation of the bit is the opposite of the direction that you're moving the handpiece! I have a full demonstration/tutorial on my website if you're interested in learning! Do u have to do black under it?
How long do you keep doing a "fill" before you soak completely off? Or do you never soak?
Forever! 😂 I hate soaking off my gels so I never do. I do my nails every like 2-4 weeks usually and do fills like I show here!
when removing the gel which direction do you have your e file in? forward or reverse. i never understand which direction to use

Why do you need to buff your nails
Gel won’t adhere to really smooth nails, so the buffing creates almost like a Velcro effect for the gel, it gets into the grooves and adheres better!
@ okay thank youu 😊
