As you said, I think it would have been easier to manipulate the gel if I had used the slip solution!! However, the gel isn't that sticky, so I think it's okay to use just a spatula and gel.🤗
Thank you for the tips and watching stunning! As you said, it didn't last as long as usual. I think I misjudged the amount of gel I put on the form. Controlling the amount of gel is a difficult task…
@monenail oh I know! The gel you used didn't even need a spatula or slip solution. You just roll it into a ball and I used literally a pea size. One half of the pea to secure the design and the second half on the apex. But that's me.
I see. I could have just rolled it into a ball without using a spatula or slip solution! I'll be more conscious of the size of peas from now on. By the way, if you are not fixing the design, would you use peas that are not halved in size?
That's a toughie. It depends on the colour of the gel you're using. If you use clear gel it's very easy to cure because the light goes straight through. If you use an opaque or solid colour gel, put in a thin design , cure it. If you're using an opaque or solid gel it's difficult to tell so if it says cure for 90 seconds I double that amount, and don't forget to turn your hand upside down so the under lyng part can also cure properly. Again I double this. As a trick I use, I do the entire nail, as you did in the video, but I file the it so it has no shine, then use the same form but with clear gel, and I apply that clear gel on top of the layer you designed. With the finished top coat, it'll not only look stunning but it will look as if your design is floating. You could always, as well, put a clear gel coat on the colour coat, cure, do not wipe tacky layer off, use the same size form and lay down clear gel and put your design in that clear gel, put it on and cure then repeat it with another layer of clear gel. File, shape, and topcoat. Then the design really looks like it's floating on the nail.
Thank you for sharing your nail tips in detail ! The appropriate amount of gel depends on the color and viscosity… The design that looks like it's floating on the nail is beautiful. I'll take a look at how to apply clear gel on top of the designed layer. Thank you so much for your kind response to my question.

you have so beautiful natural nails 😍
Thank you so much 🥰
Theyre so beautiful.
But may i ask why didn't u use slip solution with polygel to work easily with the gel?
Or u can just use spatula and gel alone?

How long are these going to last because there's a non existent apex. Stunning work really but I don't see this set lasting too long.
