As a licensed nail tech who started out at home, I love the fact that you bring sm attention to the risks of allergic reaction and how to avoid it. So many people that come into the salon who were doing nails at home had no idea and have major allergies to gel now. You’re super lucky yours is only when it touches the skin! I'm glad she did as well! I've heard that airbrushing with gel product it disperses in the air and can be breathed in which is possibly a health hazard. I've seen that using airbrush paint is the way to go instead.
Agreed, I ended up getting onycholysis on all of my nails from not understanding the risks of at home application. I’m currently unsure if I have a gel allergy or if I had just not applied my gels currently one too many times at home but yes please be careful with gel
@@giannagagliano3432 you likely have a sensitivity or are developing an allergy to gel products. I’d suggest avoiding gel polish altogether the consequences are far worse than just not being able to use gel nail polish. Pls do your research on gel polish allergies. An alternative is using regular nails polish or press on nails. Depending on the severity of the allergy, you can use gel nail polish to create set of press on nails. Then use regular nail glue to attach it. Then there’s less of a chance of uncured gel touching your skin. Best of luck!
I've missed nail videos! Even though you do nails that are way longer than I would ever be comfortable with, I love seeing the designs you do. I also just find your nail videos very relaxing ❤

Acetone and gel polish in an airbrush is SO dangerous. You're creating an aerosol spray with acetone and polish... Which you will be breathing in because it's now in the air. Use actual water based acrylic airbrush paint. Better for your lungs and your airbrush.
I have quite long natural nails and usually just do rubber base on them but watching ur videos I think I’m gonna try gel x now because I can only grow my natural nails so long ( genetics 👎) and I love the look of super long nails so thank youuu 💗💗💗

You are basically blasting gel particles into the air that you breathe and this can also cause a gel allergy or something worse. Having the window open or a fan going is not enough. Its extremely toxic so please be warned and do your research before you decide to do it!

my cuticles get extremely itchy and peel whenever i wear gel, is there any way to stop the allergic reaction so i can continue wearing gel??
