TIME YOU SPEND ON SOMETHING YOU ENJOY IS NOT TIME WASTED, YO. NO ONE should stress about how long it takes them to do their own nails, because you're vibing and being creative and doing your thing while you do it. ENJOY THAT TIME AS AN INVESTMENT IN YOURSELF.
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING UP TIME LENGTH WHEN DOING NAILS. I just started doing my own gel x nails over two months and it’s the best hobby I’ve picked up for myself. But the one thing I have been feeling insecure about is how long I take to do them. The fastest has been 3 hours but normally I take like 4-6 hours too! Even with a simple one color gel nails, I still take a long time. But I just like taking my time and I’m so picky with how my nails look and putting in all the details I need/want. But thank you for bringing it up, it made me feel a little better since I know one day I would eventually like to do my sisters / close family friends nails to practice more and I want to be more time efficient! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been there. I would do base first and the next day I would paint French tips then the next day added more designs. I do it to make it a little less stressful
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who takes HOURS to do their nails! 4hours is totally normal for me and I’ve been doing them for about a year and a half. To take old ones off, put on new ones and do polish and designs- sometimes question if it’s worth it. But you save so much $ so it really is worth it😉
It made me feel so much better when hearing how long it takes to do your nails. I always thought that I was doing it all wrong because it took me like 4 hours. I was so stressed and I felt really bad about it. Thank you
Same! I’ve been doing them for over a year and 4 hours is average. I just thought it was cuz I’m such a perfectionist with my filing. Glad I’m not the only one😊
I started my nail journey a month ago never followed tutorial on the nail application process, but after watching your videos oh my goodness my nails look so thin and feel so much stronger. Thank you for making these videos
Omg it feels so good knowing I’m not alone in it taking 6 hours to do my nails. Sometimes people ask me to do their nails and I say I would but it takes forever. I’m pretty sure they would rather pay then have it take that long lol
Can I just say I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOU AND YOUR CHANNEL. it's so peaceful here to me. I know it's a lot of work but I wish you could post everyday. I literally enjoy just having your channel on my TV for back ground noise. I have watched/listened to nearly all of your videos. I totally agree with the time frame u mentioned - it could certainly take hours to complete a full set start to finish. I've been doing my own nails for about 5 yrs now and it still takes me hours to do them. I cant tell you how many times I have essentially taken all day to do my nails because, well for starters, it's my hobby and I just absolutely adore doing nails, mainly my own, but 2 I am picky and a perfectionist and a nail salon is hella EXPENSIVE like you said. I can spend all day on my nails and sometimes they still wont come out the way I had anticipated. Anyway, love your videos!! Keep them coming!! I wish you so much success here on youtube. 💅💖🥰 I would love to be able to film videos of my doing my nails. That would be amazing!! What a dream job!!
Hey love your videos!! Just a heads up the gold bottle apres primers is meant to be put on your natural nails while the one in the grey/silver bottle is specifically meant to put in the inside of the gel extension to chemically etch the inside. I noticed you switched the use of those.
I love that you said it’s normal to take a long time. If I’m doing designs I take 5 hours easily. When I’m doing a regular dip and fill it takes me about 2 hours
Love love LOVE when you talk while doing the nails rather than the voiceover. Feels so much more connected and somehow more interesting. Love you and appreciate the hard work and time that you put into posting!!🫶🏼🫶🏼❤️🔥
I can totally relate on how long it takes to do my nails. I normally have to split them up to 1-3 days Day 1 prep(cuticle care and cleaning and selecting gel extention size and filing) ~1-2 hr Day 2 apply extention ~1h Day 3 nail art 2-4h (depending on design) Sometimes day 2 and 3 are combined
I just did some gel x last night using your method. Normally, I do everything you do, but I had never put the cured glue first. So, well see if this lasts longer for me. I'm hoping so. Also, these are super cute!😍
The common polish remover does contain acetone but if you’re sensitive to it you can find some without and it’s way less aggressive for your cuticules.
Love these videos but it would be really cool to see you do a video on fixing a set that got messed up while you were wearing them (chipping, scratches, lifting or the nail coming off) Sometimes I don't do a very good job at putting them on or they just get really fucked up and I want to fix them instead of taking them off
for your next tutorial, please do a tortoishell design! i've tried to find other tutorials on yt, but none of them live up to queen kayli. i would love to see it with amazon supplies!
I just received the beetles brand gel polish after watching so many of your videos and by far the best gel I have used! I got the autumn color set with reds, orange and yellow and they are beautiful! Thanks for the suggestions and help with my nails over the past year.
OMG thx for these vids!!! they r so amazing and u r so talented!!! if Kayli ever reads this, i hope that she knows that we all luv her and that she is so special!!
☾🌿👍🏻🔔The way you do the work gracefully - I am very proud of you. Thanks for going through the trouble and it's worth it. I’ve never witnessed such awesome editing as this one. Great job, you are amazing, you are important, you are special, you are unique, and you are valuable! Never give up, go ahead, fight for your dreams, everything will get better for you, I wish you good luck. I truly love your channel. You have my full supportt 🎁
I love your nails ❤ You can be an amazing nail tech! You are soo talented 😊 ❤ But there are few things that can be done better 😉 Make sure to wipe your nails with cleaner really , really well after all the filing you do 😊 They will look and stay on much better if you remove all the dust 😊 Dehydrator will not remove oils from the nail bed it must me removed with cotton pad or dustless pad with cleaner and after that you can use dehydrator to remove all the moisture 🙂 + I would advice you to maybe watch tutorials how to do poroper manicure/cuticle prep and nail prep before building your nails if you take your time to do that your work will be even better 😊 Try maybe using less harsh nail file, 80 is not good , even damaging for your natural nail I wouldn't even use it on gel or acrylic , 180 or even 220 would be ideal for a natural nail bed for gel or acrilic you can use 100 but be careful 😊 I know sometimes you may not have time to remove your nails properly but please please don't ripp them off you can use a regular file in your free time or e-file , e-file will do that in no time 😊
Can we have a more in depth video on this nail design and slower motion? It’s my favorite part of your videos and i am currently struggling with nail designs lol
ah i love these! you are so good at them! if you were to recommend the most basic products kind of as a starting kit for beginners, what would they be?
Watching your videos has given me the confidence to try this on my own. I have ordered most of the products needed. Just need a few more and I will be set. Quick question can you do fill-ins with these type of nails or is it just a one and done?
Love your nail vids Kayli, your the reason that inspired me to do my own nails on a budget. I notice your new step on this vid which is the base coat, do I use that first before the beetles nail glue? I know you used it before the extend gel but I have the beetles nail glue. (I still do the same steps you do in your previous gel x dupe vids, that’s why I’m asking since I noticed you change or added more steps to your gel x now)
The thing about acetone, yes you should use acetone for your nails but not acetone with oil just regular acetone that because if there’s oil in then your nails won’t last long but if it’s not oil in THEN they last long. So you should use acetone without oil😁
I like it when you talk in real time in your nail videos😁 I’ve had a terrible reaction to the beetles nail glue in their gel x kit, what do you recommend I could use instead?
Recently did gel x but they only lasted a few days 🥺 going to try again. I’m not used to it cause they’re not as thick as acrylics and I have small nail beds
They are GORGEOUS ❤Just please be careful with that nail file it is too harsh for natural nail bed 180/240 would be much much better 😊 + dehydrator will not remove oils from your nail bed it removes only water/moisture , oils needs to me machanicly removed for example with cotton pad and cleaner 😊
OK KAYLI seriously how long did it take you to get the nail art brush down comfortably?! I have been doing my nails only for a few months but every time I try to do designs it looks like my 3 year old son did it SOS 😭anyway your channel is great and I do my nails bc of you ok ILY bye
products that couldn't fit in the description
Thank you

I one thousand percent agree with you. I have spent HOUrS at some nail salons so might as well spend it in the comfort of my own home 😊💅🏻
I know this comment is 9 months old so I'm way late but I feel guilty any time I do or buy anything for myself so thank you for saying this💖

I’ve been there. I would do base first and the next day I would paint French tips then the next day added more designs. I do it to make it a little less stressful
ME TOO!! I thought it was just me that took hours to do my nails😭 Sometimes I just give up and go to the salon so it’s faster
For real it takes me an entire day if not two days 😭😭
So relate to this 🥲🥲 I did my gel x nails last week and one hand took two hours so I did my other hand the next day 💀
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who takes HOURS to do their nails! 4hours is totally normal for me and I’ve been doing them for about a year and a half. Same! I also think 'wow these nails look pretty easy and simple', but I end up taking a few hours to completely finish lmao
My first set literally took me 8 hours. I had to go to sleep, wake up, and then finish
I love the sound montage of the nail snipping. So satisfying 😂
I started my nail journey a month ago never followed tutorial on the nail application process, but after watching your videos oh my goodness my nails look so thin and feel so much stronger. Thank you for making these videos

yes the beetles glue is basically the same thing as extend gel just less expensive and maybe not as good (in my opinion)
@@Ambuttx Thank you ☺️
Thank you! This is extremely helpful! Would you please link the ceramic cuticle nail bit? Thanks a lot
I love doing my nails so I don’t mind it taking 2-3 hours in fact I enjoy that time. Only thing I don’t like is removal lol

Nail polish remover is for just air dry nail polish thats why any other soak off is done with pure acetone
On Amazon they have medium almonds I buy them all the time nail tips and they're all good there from the gel X brand
