I finally got a soft gel glue and I'll use that next time. I spent all day Monday taking off my 2nd attempt with a another solid gel glue and it was a pure mess. I hate when my hair gets pulled under that lifted area. But they came out really cute. They'll last 3-4 weeks but the lift will drive me crazy.

im p sure its so the uv rays can hit every area of ur nails and have a very even curing processs. i dont use a reflective nail lamp though and ive been doing gel x for years- youll be fine with a regular uv lamp. ik sometimes ppl do a color on the bottom of their nail; this is where maybe a reflective nail lamp could be more beneficial, but then again u can just flip ur hand over. its not required, it can probably just make the curing process faster/better but i wouldnt stress.

Honestly it's not a big deal. It's because it's reflecting the light back up to the other side so it's curing underneath but really it's no biggie If you use colored tips you'll need to cure for 2 minutes and if you want to be suuk

This video is so helpful and you explain all the steps in a way that is super easy to understand, definitely going to sub. Soon i am going to start doing my own gel nails and i was wondering if you could use rubbing alcohol instead of acetone? Thank you girl

Excellent video! I appreciate the knowledge! I do have one question…. When you were showing what to do when you either apply too much, or not enough gel to the gel tip and you wiped everything off with an alcohol wipe, you should go back and reapply the dehydrator and primer to that natural nail before you reapply the gel and tip. If you don't, all that time you spent applying those products to help with adhesion, would have been for nothing because you could have issues with lifting on those nails, right?
Please let me know what you think.
    Thanks! 😉

Thank you!! & not necessarily - this is why I cured the layer of gel on my natural nails first before applying the extensions this will give you room to get the application right without compromising the adhesion!

Haha yea it’s a lot of work but it’s cheaper than going to the salon (unless you only have them for events like a wedding)
