It's gonna cost alot more than $165 and you'll likely still deal with popping off, but I'm always pro-DiY just please do proper education/research and be very very cautious for allergies. They're really much bigger a deal than YT creators like this make it seem, like her touching gel with her bare skin, big big no-no. Wishing you the best of luck! ❤️
@@SybrinaBrinagirl, I’ve been doing my own nails since the pandemic and haven’t went to a salon in over a year! It’s easy! We been painting our nails since we were kids! You got this ❤
Practice makes perfect 🥰 I've been doing my own for over 10 years, I started doing my own because I was very young and didn't have the money to pay and maintain nail salon nails... and now that I can afford it I rather not spend that money anyway 😅
Don’t get me wrong i love getting my nails done, but sometimes i feel like there can be days where the technician is rushing or it doesn’t come out right as what i had preferred, so, i am currently researching on how to do them myself : ) with everything it’s a bit costly but knowing that id be saving more money in the end is going to be worth it! So excited to do them myself and learn different techniques !
please don't form the hard gel with your bare hands!!! always always always use gloves or tools for that - frequent bare skin exposure to uncured gel can lead to spontaneous gel allergies!! stay safe xxx
You mean either solid glue gel, or nonstick glue gel, or acrygel/hybrid gel? Thats not hard gel, its soak off more than likely and isnt even builder gel. Just a heads up. But agreed never ever touch gel products with bare skin, always only use nitrile gloves, always
This video helps so much I’m literally watching it and then adding the stuff I see to my Amazon cart, I’m so excited to start learning to do my own nails
Okay I'm sitting here nail-less because I was so tired of the inconsistency of my acrylics. I had an appointment but I'm cancelling and investing. These are amazing

even if you may not be creative you could always search up ideas you can replicate on pintrest and it probably took way longer than the length of the video lol with pratice youll get faster and better
I very much like your video. I have been looking for those that do gel x at home. It is too expensive to go into the salon. Of course, I am not as good as you but I hope to get better as I continue to do mine. ❤️❤️💅🏻
Great video! They are gorgeous! I am more a press-on girl… would you say that the drilling along the cuticle and sealing it with acetone makes a difference and sense for press ons as well?
Can you please give some tips on how to do your dominant hand as I really struggle to get accuracy with my left hand, it tends to shake a bit 😊 love the videos thank you
If you're looking for a different method of air brushing, Rebecca Ramsdale does a bunch of air brushing in her nail videos and she mentions using acrylic paints instead.

Really love these nails, they came out beautiful. Just subscribe to you waiting for my stuff to come in the mail as I'm going to attempt to do my own nails wish me luck❣️
I just wanted to make sure I understood when you said buff the nails before the peel base. You're talking about taking the shine off? Nails look great!
Is there a way to like do the designs and thennnn put them on? Because like my left handedness is sooooooo baddddd lol also are you curing between each layer so that nothing gets messed up?
Gel-x is the copyrighted/patented name from apre`s. But it's used as the method where a full cover tip is adhered via gel to the natural nail as the enhancement/extension.
Adding a layer of builder over full cover tips does nothing to help keep them on your natural nails as it's not touching your natural nail. If you want to use long full cover tips, I'd reccomend adhering them with your builder gel instead.
instead of the acetone please use special gels! a brand called neonail makes ready to use airbrushes filled with gel you can easily just use these! they cost around $12
Beautiful! You are very talented. Where can I find that silicone tool? I did not see it on your Amazon storefront. I’ve been on the hunt for one of those.
I have a question, if I want to do press ons like on a press on stand, not on my nails directly, can I use the gel nail glue or would it not cure under the lamp properly
the part that i struggle with most is definitely the application of the nails part, it could also be the sizing but i just know this is the part which makes them fall off after a week :(
Do you prep your natural nails? It is a must to push cuticles back and wipe with alcohol, buff nails(180 grit file) just to take the shine off, wipe with alcohol again (or use a nail dehydrator if possible). Do this before applying the nails and then make sure the nails fit from side wall to side wall- if they are a little too big you can file the sides/cuticle-never use too small. Make sure you use a base coat and top coat before/after polish. Hope that helps!
sorry, did you cure the thin layer in between applying the layer of gel onto the gel x extension. Like did you cure the first slip layer first before applying the tips with the additional gel?
From what I know you don’t have to cure primer or dehydrator. Dehrydrator removers the oils on your nails and primer creates little microscopic cuts on your nail for better adhesion. I’m pretty sure you have to cure the gel nail glue tho
I paid $165 to do my nails last week and one already popped off. Definitely investing into learning to do them myself! Thank you!
