I have one and it’s in my bright bathroom. It gets east light, lots of humidity and only gets watered once every 2 weeks. Love the video. They are such cute plants
They don't like humidity, she said that in the video, imagine the climate of Madagascar, that's your aim. I also water mine once a month and it doesn't need a lot, south facing window and its happy sitting by my aloe plants.
You are so right about excess humidity. Here in San Clemente, Ca. we've been having an extraordinary amount of fog and typical damp, overcast weather almost all day sometimes. Some of my Kalanchoe have suffered a bit from what appears to be powdery mildew (shows as white, patchy areas on some of the upper leaves).
Its so cool how easy succulents can be propagated. I "stole" three kalanchoe leaves from my moms plant. Now I have three little kalanchoe plants. If you see a succulent you like somewhere, just take a leaf with you and put it in soil. 😅
Than I must have reeeeeally abused my plant, it's currently shriveling up as we speak. I think it was from that one time I left it in water for 4 hours...
TIL that I’ve been pronouncing kalanchoe wrong my entire life! These are one of my favorite plants from when I was a kid and I’ve managed to kill them all with kindness. With these tips, I think I’ll try again.
If you put it outside in summer, it will grow a lot more. The other Kalanchoe type that is more green with the red outlines around the leaves gets pretty big. Mine has turned into a beautifully structured guided succulent that flowers these nice coral florets during summer sun. The Panda get pretty rounded with large rosettes for me.
I bought one with bent leaf... a week ago.. now I see it has roots growing from the upper part of the leaf. it's not even close to the soil, like a cm and a half, and one root already got down to the soil from that height,... no idea what it means and if anything will come out of it, it's just a weird thing it did
Hi Summer, i have one of those , it was beautiful when i boughti , but later the leaves got smaller without those beautiful dark spots around the leaves , what am i doing wrong? please help
I have one of these plants and the leaves have started to droop. I think it needs to be in a bigger pot, but will I hurt it if I repot it right now? (November) pls advice 😭
I bought one yesterday and it said "Black Tie" on the label. Is that also a nickname for it or do those people not know what they are talking about? Lol
There are a few varieties, 'Black Tie,' 'Teddy Bear,' 'Chocolate Soldier,' 'Golden Girl,' 'Cinnamon' etc. are all names of different subtypes but they are all Kalanchoe tomentosa/panda plants.
All succulents and cacti have the ability to flower if the conditions are meant (although most of us grow them more for foliage). It harder to see bloom indoors, but for this one, they have small pale pink flowers.
My other lighter green brother to the Panda has Flowered beautiful coral colored florets every Spring/Summer. It also can be guided into a beautiful ornamental succulent.
guys please help god i got water on the leaves of this plant and i think it might die it was only a few drops and i washed most of it off but i'm a afraid it might die

My mom calls me ‘Kalanchoe master’, I have two blooming right now in February😌
I almost bought one of these recently. I exercised restraint, but now I’m thinking about it again. Lol

Hi, what did you do for the powdery mildew issue? I’ve suddenly got the same thing going on.
I have just bought this plant! It is so cute and fluffy :)

They're so fuzzy! A bit like the bear paw. I love bear paws!🤗
This plant is so cute! I was looking at this plant when I was at the nursery last, he is on my wish list , thanks for the video Summer.
This plant can tolerate a lot of abuse.
Please don’t ask how I know.

i didn’t water mine for somewhere between 1-2 years and just propagated a brown leaf with new green leaves on top! i feel bad, i thought it was dead
I can relate 😂😂
😆
Lol wow... beautiful plant
I purchased mine a few days ago. I love it!

This is such a cute one! I have a Kalanchoe Tomentosa bear paw and it's getting so big. Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Summer! Love your videos 😍 Could you also do one on Cotyledon tomentosa (bear paw)? Thank you! 💖
I've had this plant and I love how easy it can be propagated. I really had a really bad problem with mealybugs tho.
Oh I have been pronouncing "Kalanchoe" soooo wrong
these are the eaiset of all kolanchoe to grow, i am not very good with succlents at all, but i find this one eaiser than any other, so simple
I’ve had this plant for a while now I love it but it’s a pretty slow grower

Nice i have one left after 2 others died but my mistakes have taught me some
Which pot would you recommend? Plastic, terra cotta, or ceramic pot for this panda plant???
This is the only succulent I’ve been able to keep alive. 😅 it’s a joy to have 🌿💚
That's great...I killed mine right away😔

These guys, Haworthias and Aloes are so far the only ones that have successfully managed to survive my abuse.
That's a cutie🌿😊🌿
I think mine is dying, the stem is cracking. Can I save it??
I took a cutting from this without knowing that it works best with leaves! Will the momma plant and cuttings survive?
I have one of these plants and the leaves have started to droop. I think it needs to be in a bigger pot, but will I hurt it if I repot it right now? (November) pls advice 😭
I saved one over a year ago, nursed him back to life and propagated him 🌱❤️
This one is on my want list :)
I thought these guys could range from medium-light to high?
oh.. I have been pronouncing the name as " Kaa-Laan-Cho" ,.,., weird ...
So have I. 🤣
Same with me
When I look things up Summer is always pronouncing them correctly
@@M_SC great

@@Vanillatrez Thank you! He's just the cutest little succulent. He's also my first ever plant.
Please do kalanchoe humilis care.. 🌿💚
I thought this was the plant I had but it has little baby plantlets. So I am assuming this isn't the right species.
Please do kalanchoe humilis care xo
Will this plant flower ?
