  • This 5-gallon Panda Plant was a massive project to tackle. It was pretty healthy but looked scraggly and overgrown.
    You can see the first video of getting everything cut down and manageable here:

    We raised rabbits on our hobby farm (growing up yrs.) and used the COMPOSTED poo on our huge (nearly 2 acres) garden each spring. Our veggies were amazing - strong, healthy, and huge - and we had great harvests of loads of veggies. Enough to feed a family of 7 with lots to give away to neighbors, family, and friends. Putting in on plants before it composts for a few months might burn the plants. Otherwise, it's WONDERFUL fertilizer!!

    Thank you so much for this update. This and the first one where you hacked up that monster panda was so informative. My panda plant is the size of your 2x in the entrance way so I look forward to watching their progress. 🙂

    I love this Giant panda plant series, I love Tomentosas! I just bought the only one I could find in my area that wasn't completely rotted. I have one stem with roots drying out, and I have a few flimsy leaves. Wish me luck. I'm trying; putting stem in soil soon, stick a couple of leaves in soil with rooting hormone, a couple in a water bottle, and a couple of leaves on my propagation tray. We'll see...

    Those pots on the front porch are gorgeous! Where'd you get those? Did you fill both of them full of soil or use a filler material toward the bottom half to make them lighter? I need a hand truck to move some of mine for winter.
    When I was growing up we would use rabbit pellets in the veggie garden for fertilizer. I seem to recall having a lot of healthy veggies.
    Also, I learned a new word today: skiwampus!
    Thanks for the update even thought the video quality took a plunge toward the latter half.

    How did the one for your sons turtle work out? After you let it callous over, did you just stick it in dirt?

    Thanks for showing where cuttings are now. Like the entry pots.
    I have a question PLEASE.....
    in your course and cards are they as informative as an app? The apps give you the the exact plant no questing. And no errors in thinking it’s another variety,

    • @Succulentsandsunshine
      @Succulentsandsunshine  3 года назад

      The app is to help track your succulents watering and what you do to take care of them. The cards and course are very informative. The course goes into the most detail on care information and everything you need to successfully grow succulents. The ID cards will help you in identifying and give you a great reference for each succulent.

    Amazing! I'm propagating two tomentosa leaves, and both have several little offshoots on them that are on their way to becoming full plants. Do you separate yours from the "parent" leaf, or just wait for the original leaf to dry up?

    • @Succulentsandsunshine
      @Succulentsandsunshine  3 года назад

      Wait for the mother leaf to dry up. Learn more in this post:

    So are you supposed to water this before it has roots?

    • @Succulentsandsunshine
      @Succulentsandsunshine  4 года назад +2

      Yep! After planting, let it sit for a day and then water as usual, using the "soak and dry" method.

    • @Crystal-be9ze
      @Crystal-be9ze 4 года назад

      Succulents and Sunshine oh wow I never knew that, thank you! Are you supposed to water all cuttings after they callous but before they have roots?

  • @ErnestoTheThird

    ughhh how many months/years did that kalanchoe tomentosa took to grow that large?

      that's so beautiful.

    • @Succulentsandsunshine
      @Succulentsandsunshine  3 года назад

      Ooooh, that's a great question! I wish I knew, but I bought it when it was quite large. I'd imagine it was at least 3-5 years old.
