The amount of details is actually more than the likes of MKBHD. 👍 I want an advice from you. I am upgrading from Samsung Note 9 (Exynos) . My options are S10+, S20+ (both Snapdragon) iPhone 11 Pro Max and the Oneplus 8 Pro. My priorities are excellent call quality via earpiece and speaker phone, excellent audio quality, excellent battery life and smooth overall performance with the least amount of frame drops. For me the basics of communication like Signal and WIFI reception and calling experience matter a lot. Which one should I go for?

My problem with OnePlus is that major apps like Netflix and Prime Video don't run in full screen around the punch hole camera. Huge waste of screen real estate that bugs me every time

Good channel man! You got me to subscribe and I hit the bell icon. Also try otter box clear case I’ve had one for about 6 months now and no yellowing on the corners. Or life proof next clear or slam with black borders. With my next phone upgrade I’ll definitely be buying the one plus 8 pro or one plus 9 pro if it’s out. Wish my carrier would have this available but I’ll have to buy it out right. But it’ll be totally worth it!!

I really liked my OP8 Pro, but ended up selling it as the 4k video mode was broken. I REALLY loved that phone, but the 1080p video mode sucked compared to 4k, but the 4k video mode lags randomly. I'm sure OP would fix it, but after 3 months, nothing had changed. If the 4k video mode isn't important to you or you're willing to wait for a fix, I still recommend it. I am very curious to see what Apple brings this year, because God knows they need to bring the fire this year
Ahnestly thanks for responding so quickly, I have watched so many videos and only yours come across concise and include the information I need. I am not fussed about video at all, it is the feature I use the least probably. It is whether I take the plunge after all these years! I think apple will price me out this year here in the UK whereas One plus are in the sweet spot price wise.
I really miss my OP8 Pro just for the sheer speed of that device. I'm talking about you hold that up to your face, it's already unlocked and the inscreen fingerprint is nuts. There are still some things I miss about iphone - the typing experience feels better on an iphone and the "tap the top bar to fast scroll to top" is my most sorely missed feature.
Ok about the fingerprint sensor placement, alot of reviewer's complained about it's placement saying" it's at the bottom and should be place more on top" so the companies listened, so technically it's not the companies fault.

Would you say oneplus 7 pro is tad warmer to the touch. Sometimes even playing youtube videos you can feel it slightly? So i downloaded antutu benchmark and lo and behold oneplus 8 pro cpu runs constantly 5 celcius cooler. Like normal light using temp for 7pro would be 37c while 8pro sits at 32c.
I was hoping that you would touch on it , but haven't seen a single reviewer mention it. But the 8 pro idea the exact same sensor has the 8 and previous 7 series phones, but with a much higher apeture, 2.45 as compared to previous gens that had 2.0. naturally I would think that the 7 series would perform better in low light. All have the imx 471 sensor.
Is no one going to talk about why the OnePlus 8 pro 12gb has been out of stock for over a month with no info from the company as to when it will be back?
For the case you could consider buying a clear back skin (something like slick wraps sells) and combine it with one of those cases that only has the bumper. I don't have a OP8 myself though so no clue if these even exist.
Great review there, mate! I think this phone is great, with much fewer shortcomings compared to old oneplus flagships. Anyway, 20 Ultra's focusing problem was also fixed though (since ATE6).

Honestly, it depends on how quickly you plan on upgrading. I think the 7/7t are fine phones, but if you don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, get the 8 for the future proofing
I have heard the photos taken from the OP8PRO are heavily processed due to which when editing using lightroom or snapseed there is lack of detail and thus not possible to do proper colour correction and so. Is this true ? Thanks in advance and awesome video. You earned a sub from me👍

Thank you!! You definitely don't need the 256 for long term. The ram isn't going to limit you, but the storage might. Taking a 20 sec video at 4k 60fps can be 1gb. If you have good wifi, you can just get Google drive storage which is cheaper, but if you don't have good wifi, then you probably want the 256gb variant
No that wasn't my point - it was that the OP7 Pro and the 8Pro's color accuracy wasn't all that different. To the naked eye, the differences are a lot less perceptible, but the video makes it a lot more pronounced

You can fool it, that's pretty obvious, the unlock is just optical.

I have the same one plus 7 pro almond with me and I'm confused if i get the 9 pro. I really want the upgraded camera as i'm also into Photography and regularly active on instagram with the same name. What should I do. You really explained it all really well.

The 8 or 7t??
Honestly, it depends on how quickly you plan on upgrading. I think the 7/7t are fine phones, but if you don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, get the 8 for the future proofing

I have heard the photos taken from the OP8PRO are heavily processed due to which when editing using lightroom or snapseed there is lack of detail and thus not possible to do proper colour correction and so. Is this true ?

Thank you!! You definitely don't need the 256 for long term. The ram isn't going to limit you, but the storage might. Taking a 20 sec video at 4k 60fps can be 1gb. If you have good wifi, you can just get Google drive storage which is cheaper, but if you don't have good wifi, then you probably want the 256gb variant

Colors don't look much different cause you have enabled video enhancer you need to disable it
No that wasn't my point - it was that the OP7 Pro and the 8Pro's color accuracy wasn't all that different. To the naked eye, the differences are a lot less perceptible, but the video makes it a lot more pronounced
