Superb review! Wow. You really know how to discuss details that people might otherwise not understand. Really great review.
I got my Oneplus 12 a week ago and I'm extremely happy with it. I discovered that the Oxygen OS 14 has "Transitions" in it so there are like 5 or 6 different transitions to choose from when moving between screens. I chose "roll" which makes all the icons turn into a 3D tube and spin as I move from one screen to another. Love it! My wife's Samsung S21+ was upgraded to Android 14 and with all our searching, could not find Transitions on it. So Oneplus opted to add the feature into their version of Android 14 on the Oxygen OS and give it to their customers. Would have been nice to see it demonstrated for people in this review. Transitions are located at the bottom of the screen when you hold your finger on a blank spot of a screen and cause Widgets and other things to be displayed.
I'm also super impressed with how excellent the new WiFi and Bluetooth are. As far as I'm concerned they are perfect. The signals connect way better than my previous devices, and without hiccups. And the stereo speakers are really good, too. I'm a musician and so music listening is something my ears are always honed in on.
I concur with all the things MrWho'sTheBoss said in this review.

I think you hit the nail it he head here compared to the noise a lot of people make. A lot of people ignore how a particular system/setup/hardware becomes more useful to its users over time. This is why I'm always infuriated by RUclipsrs are and people of forums when they say shout about the best phone everyone should buy that year, be it iPhone SKU, Galaxy S SKU or Pixel SKU. I aways feel like they ignore the fact that phone users are not reviewers, it's not just about new features, phone users actually use phones to make their lives easier and have developed a certain workflow. After that, the best device for them is the one that comfortably fits in that workflow and improves it. But I guess, these videos are for making money at the end of it all as much as they help to keep the manufacturers a bit more honest.

But the IQOO 12 is an astoundingly great phone that got overlooked back then but compare this phone with that and you won't find much to complain about. That phone has better performance and a better screen (more brightness but lower resolution) for a far lower cost. Cameras are a toss up and speakers are better on the Oneplus and that's it. Vivo is the one that has been slowly but surely killing it for the past few years. My next phone will be a Vivo or if the Oneplus 13 has a better display than the S23 Ultra (peak brightness that is higher than 1250-1300 nits) then the Oneplus 13.

I bought it for ≈$360 and I swear it still works flawlessly, the battery lasts all day, and it charges up so fast. The screen looks good, the OS is almost identical to what you're showing me here. And the only thing really that I'm missing out on is the way better camera, and if I opt for the op 12 I'd get wireless charging. The most computer heavy thing I might do is play Cod mobile, and I play it on this phone at Max settings, so idk I guess I have to wait for this one to actually break to replace it. It's just still a really great phone. PS, a family member of mine bought one 2 weeks before I bought mine, and theirs is still flawless and running and charging beautifully. I used a OnePlus 5 for 4 years and had to replace the charging port on it 2 times...

I´ve had my OnePlus 12 for almost a month and I love almost everything about it. I´ve only found 2 bugs/software errors that bother me a little like the messenger bubbles not working correctly or the apps lagging 1 or 2 secons when switching between open apps. Hopefully they fix that with next updates but aside from that every other thing is wonderfull and it is an incredibly powerfull phone.

I still keep my One Plus Nord 2 , and it's going for 3 years old this year and I've got to hand it to them: I really don't have something to complain about. The battery is still like new, even tho I really pushed it at times, the software is not lagging, updates are coming now and then, and the general experience feels very individualized because this phone looks and feels like it's owner, thanks to the phone's capability of understanding it's owner. Compared to my other Huawei P30 Pro which was more expensive at launch, it beats it at almost every aspect except the screen, which is lagging behind . Still, I keep looking for reasons to upgrade to a new phone but my OnePlus doesn't give me one yet. And I'm partly grateful for helping me make some economy.

Glad to see OnePlus back to what they started with, flagship killers. I own a N20 and have been pretty happy with it after owning Motorola and Samsung phones, kind of miss the moto gestures but oxygen, lack of bloat and the battery life mostly make up for that. The shelf like you mentioned is one of the thing that doesn't make much sense and the N20 not being one of the higher end phones doesn't get android version updates like the others but for the money great phone for my use.
